A brilliant chapter that brings into stark clarity, the aftermath that "coming out" can have on the kids. Not because of the the gay aspect, but the feelings of abandonment. Something for those of us who were married with children, to reflect on quietly. This has made me uncomfortable, but what Keith said, needed to be put out into the open.

@Jjeffalch I am in full agreement. I did what Jim did, and broke up a family when I could no longer live the lie. Although my youngest was 18 at the time, I can see how she had to pick up rhe pieces when her mom was shattered. I totally get where Keith has been coming from. He missed his dad, wondered was he still loved, all fhe while trying to hold a broken family together.

Danny has saved the day alongside Ryder and again we see a pair that compliment each other, that are stronger together than apart. Jack and Vince will mate I'm sure. Cassandra, as we have suspected from the start, is either an evil force or is being used by one to kill Ryder and cause the demise of his pack. But why? And with whom? And how paranormal is Danny?

Yep, all of that is exactly what I'm also thinking @Paladin.

Agreed @VBlew, there is much more to Danny than meets the eye.

That was a huge deal - the ring. Alex is excited about his gifts, the puppy that he is. I'm glad Keith is starting to thaw. My middle daughter didn't talk to me for 18 months after I came out. It was tough. I get where Jim is on this. A great chapter. Thank you.

Wondered the same. What is going on behind that carefully crafted veneer?

What a nice start. We have probably all had those restroom 🚻 moments. Quick release and gone. But nothing can beat a real connection.

What must have started as a terrifying experience for Kellar, has quickly become second nature, as he explores his capabilities. Like others, I'm glad he did not totally decimate Warren, although I'm glad the little sod wet himself. Quid pro quo - now time to move on. I'm rooting for Kellar, the beast.
-
What an adventure this must feel like for a 16 year old. Kellar reminds me a little of Harry Potter. Orphan, brought up with a malicious cousin, but soon will find his own power. Parents who have disappeared? I think they will reappear at some point. Great story.

What a chapter! I loved it. We knew Theodore would survive as the epic battle still has to take place. Danny is healing Ryder and I am sure will do it fully, wold and human. So looking forward to next week. 👏 👏 👏

Wow!!! I can't wait to see what that is.

There Is Always an Easy Way Out

A chapter filled with unraveling story lines. Let's see where they go. There is little love between Brad and Bella. -
Chapter 1 All the Colors Under the Sun
Doha commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 1 All the Colors Under the Sun
Im not sure how I missed this story previously. Anyway, here goes and looking forward to the ride. -
Better off as Memories has left me very tender-hearted as I recognise in the narrator aspects of my own life and relationships. A fantastic morning read that many of us will recognise.

A most poignant retelling of something many of us have experienced. I still see my guy 3 or 4 times a week. He has started dating a mutual friend, and while I am honestly happy for them, it has tweaked my heart just a little bit. 💓

A very productive chapter on all counts. A great business deal for Jim. Jon was a trooper at home. Alex and Jon bond further and a distinct if mild thaw from Keith. All round a move forward.

In many ways the 3 main characters are all reflections of aspects of ourselves: the broken but healing man, the man in the middle who is getting on with life dealing with the pain, and the young one who has been freed and is filled with hope. This has left me with a whirlwind of emotions and has certainly pushed me beyond my comfort zone. 🙃 Magnificent writing!

OK. That's just mean. 9bviousky Ryder has to recover, but jeez. So Cassandra is up to something and Theodore knows what it is about. Waiting patiently for next week.

[Memory, Freshman Year, November] – The Usual Letdowns
Doha commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in [Memory, Freshman Year, November] – The Usual Letdowns
Well this is an unexpected context for Lyn. He and Alexander present similarly, but I suspect one is genuinely wealthy. Having said that a Victorian redbrick house gone to seed, indicates that there may have been some wealth at some stage in the past. I wonder exactly what it is that Lyn's mom has to do to buy him an expensive gift. 🤔 -
I am delighted to see George and his merry men again. He remains my all-time favourite character on GA. I'm glad George got time with Calvert and their love remains strong. 💕 It's a good thing that Daventry didn't speak out about the negotiations. George really is growing in stature, both with his sovereign and with the people.

This was a very revealing chapter as more details of the friendship triangle emerge. As others have said, I am sure that Brad knew of Alexander's interest in Lyn, and of Lyn's interest in him. What we don't yet know is what Brad's interest was, or whether we take at face value what Mrs Fox has shown us - which as we all know, is as safe as quick sand.

How we all wanted the condom to burst, and perhaps it still will, but that would just be too easy for Laura Fox story. Without doubt these two are meant for each other and Fate or FATE will find a way.
