    I think St Vincent has always been an old grump. He does, however, respect George and I think he will see reason in this matter. To go after Calvert, a naval hero, on the word of someone with no corroborating evidence would be foolish. St Vincent would have a humiliating public defeat without any material benefit even if he won. I think the matter will die, however, Calvert and Granger will need to be very careful and strategically select 2 mistresses. 2 lesbian lovers would be ideal.

    Well, I've finally caught up. Now I must wait like everybody else. 😆 I loved reading the chapter from Mark's pov. It makes me think he is still around, waiting to emerge. Sebastian caught me by surprise in the last 2 chapters, but if he is better with Mark, then we need Mark back asap. I hooe they will find him.

    This chapter with talk of 7 constructs reminds me of Theresa of Avila's "The Interior Castle" or Thomas Meton's "Seven Story Mountain", both of which reveal the interior journey to spiritual enlightenment.
