@MichaelS36. Good, for that is exactly what they are. 😆 🤣

I think it's critical that Jamie is assigned to RMW. Without Jamie at his side he cannot overcome the evil that threatens the world. I think this is just a matter of necessity.
-
A fabulous chapter. Jamie did very well to weather that and RMW was wonderful. I'm anxious about Jamie and Mike.
-
I'm sure this special ability has helped him enormously in political life.
-
That's the point. I'm sure it rhe same for Secret Service agents. Sometime you simply cannot tell people, especially those closest to you, what you do. I love Mike and know he will support Jamie, but he needs to stop asking Jamie to divulge information to him. It's possible that he could help Jamie bear the load, but it's also possible he could become a target.

Your writing is so engaging. I'm enjoying every word. The Turners have probably been involved with this their entire lives. Perhaps RMW's father was also aware. It seems like RMW is the guardian of the world and Jamie is the guardian of RMW. The sooner he knows the full details the better. I think he and the Right Honourable Minister are a good working team. 💪 -
The Paranormal Hits Home

I wonder if RMW is trying to protect Jamie from some of the horrors of this "supernatural world". Jamie is quite new to it whilst RMW has had years, perhaps his whole life, to come to grips with it. I want to know more about the minister. -
Another great chapter. I agree with @kbois, Jamie should tell Mike about his powers but leave out the case details. He would be safer that way and so would Mike potentially. As other have said, so many red herrings.
-
A cliff hanger. YAAY. These huge naked guys are certainly popping out rhe woodwork. I hope RMW can handle them until Jamie is back in action.
-
This was a lovely respite of hearth and home. Mike's parents seem like normal parents in their 50s. I'm one too. Mike and Jamie are obviously deeply in love and moving towards life-partner status. At some point Jamie is going to have to take a risk. Trusting Mike, or not trusting Mike. 🤔 For the moment however, he has found done peace with his decision to remain silent. I'm glad RMW made good his promise to eschew his previous position on LGB issues.
-
Jamie and RMW are becoming a better team and a more equal one as well. It seems as though this unlikely pair will be holding back a potential flood of evil. More power to them. Mike is being neglected. 😔
-
This makes total sense and certainly a trend that has been seen in many parts of the world. As society becomes increasingly violent, those who protect the innocent need to be able to effectively combat the perpetrators of the violence. It is not popular view, but I cannot rhink of any other credible alternative.
-
This would make a great deal of sense. I think the dour Scot would be able to deal with the supernatural without freaking out.
-
Another wonderful chapter, beautifully written. 😍 Jamie is doing well and we will discover later whether the misinformation he has given his police commanders will be worth whatever it is that RMW is busy working on. Mike, in the meantime is in the dark and he won't like that at all. I wonder who the big specter is working for.
-
Jamie is adapting very well to the new and strange reality of his job as well as his supernatural abilities. RMW remains an enigma but seems to be getting closer to Jamie's wavelength. I wonder if the Turners know about his powers
-
That was grueling training. Jamie has done really well. Again, as much as I think RMW is an arse, we do not know if he is simply pompous or whether he is one of the bad guys. For sure we know he has a super power as well, so if he needs special protection, it must be an important or critical.power. Something is nagging at me a out Mike. I like him and want to love him. I'm still suspicious.
-
Another cracker-jack of a chapter. RMW clearly needs Jamie. We know he is a pompous condescending twat. What we do not yet know is whether he is crooked or not. The same applies to CI Mwangi. All smiley and friendly but which side of the fence does he fall on? Even Mike is still an unknown in this regard. Jamie is going to have to tread very carefully, keep his eyes and ears wide open and his mouth tightly shut as far as thT is possible to do.
-
So the super natural element emerges clearly now. Jamie has a gift, several gifts in fact: the ability to see spectres, to have said entities communicate to him, and enormous speed. Would the Commanders Commendation be dangling a carrot to get him to tow the line? Mwangi is smiley but I wonder what he is actually doing. As for RM-W. Posh, secretive. He knows about this aspect of the "heaven-earth continuum". What is he not saying?
-
I was thinking the same thing. It's just a hunch. But he did seem to be focused on Jamie from the start.

A Lifechanging Encounter

Wow. Great chapter. Invisible naked hulk. Jamie who can run 8 miles in 20 minutes. 2.30 minute miles. 8 in a row. Unknown big name police officer investigating. Suspension. Jamie constantly ravenous. The posh speedster speeds off. Very very suspicious. -
I loved this chapter. I feel like I got to know both characters a little better and this bit of context will make more sense of their later thoughts words, actions. A wonderful first date! And a very interesting second one 😆 🤣 Nam is a major hit.

This turn of events has created a great deal of discussion among the readers and acolytes of the Earl of Brentwood. How it is ultimately resolved is going to be a fascinating unfolding and one we are all going to watch very closely, breath baited.
