Let's talk about efficiency ... Adam's got himself a copter, Hans has 10 chalets in the works, the olympic coach can go float a turd, and Billy is happy once again. Sounds like everyone is happy in Liechtenstein cause they're about to win a Gold! 🤩

I'd preferred 'assholes not wanted' since 'grandfather's' is a positive term in my dictionary and defined as bringing amazing wisdom and insight into the eyes of everyone willing to listen. I was saddened by the disrespectful behavior that Adam and his colleagues were subjected to when all each of them wanted was to please - Marcel with an amazing menu, James with his ever helpful attention to detail, and Adam sharing the light at the end of a long tunnel. If the cantackerous old codgers are a metaphor for the state of the world education system is currently in, no wonder they were portrayed as rigid and entitled.

Something about the way Hans approached the cabin, even though we know he was there for security, gave me the impression Hans is one of the outcast boys as well only older. May not be accurate and he's just looking after Gerry and the boys but that was the feeling I got as reading.

Hopefully it was just Adam and the boys in the cabin ... rattling pots and banging pans that early in the morning might get someone hurt in my house! LOL!!! LOL!!! I luv'd the life lesson Adam shared with the boys in this chapter ... "everyone needs a quiet place to escape, a place to relax and to think. Decisions made under pressure and not having enough time to think them through, usually are bad decisions.” ... and isn't it the damn truth! 😂

This question made me so very sad for every young man at the academy. “We at the school are privileged, but we are not loved, like the love your mother and father give you, why is that?” Adam's definitely trying to make up for that deficit though!

A fake lead weight that's just begging to be stolen by a certain someone. I can see it now, execution on the horizon. Some just don't know when to leave well enough alone and realize they were treated pretty well the first time they screwed up. LUV Mama and Pap, I could just smell the Italian aromas of the kitchen as if I were there with them. YUM!!!

Those idiot trustees should all be fired and replaced. Seriously, to tell Adam he can't use monies for scholarships, how draconian and snobbish. Honest to gawd, this chapter frustrated the hell out of me because of the parallel to reality at the moment. How dare some nitwit(s) try to give advice when they don't even know or haven't even met the other person! There's a deep connection there and Matt knows it. To listen to someone trying to tell him otherwise is complete and utter bs. I'm just afraid, if he spends too much time with them, he'll begin to believe it himself and forget the beauty that is really there and is ahead of them.

Holy Moses!!! Like Billy Martin said, "I didn't not see this coming, at all." Heartwarming, sadness, anger, frustration, ... how could anyone with a soul not want a son to see his father before he died??? Greedy, horrible, despicable individual that yes, saw the mercy of 2 very generous men who are great leaders.

OMG, just found this story and 7 chapters in. Matt, Seamus, and Aidan are warming my heart like no other! -
Where does the corruption finally stop. OMG, Adam should have more than enough money to do whatever he wants based on the amounts that were being embezzled or misdirected by the previous directors.
