Chapter 20: Introductory Interview
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 20: Introductory Interview
This made me giggle. Well, Mason has met them, but we've had two encounters. Some of the others have been mentioned throughout the series. As always, thanks for commenting! -

Hey, if shadows are everywhere, they better make themselves useful. The Seven? Bol and Terik would be miffed... -
Chapter 20: Introductory Interview

Thanks for commenting, centex! I agree, but you know parents. Their kiddo finds their mate and they're ready for rugrats. I like writing for the new couple, but I don't think y'all are ready for McCabe. Poor Yakob was left on the sidelines and wanted to see his student! -
The weekend was flying by, at least in Vincent’s opinion. Lowe slept peacefully during the first night in the established Lowe’s Lair. As the mage poked his head in the blanketed fort, he saw the toddler working in a coloring book with determination. He’s barely left that thing! The few times Lowe ventured outside his cave was to declare his need for the bathroom. Potty training was straightforward. Vincent set up the plastic mini-toilet provided by Tasha and let the kid do his business. A

You better go, Apollo!!! You too, Supreme Alpha Taylor! Kane will have no idea what hit him. And Susie... gurl, you better take that offer! I'm so proud of our She-Wolves. Another fantastic chapter, Grumpy!

This was a trip, to say the least. I love this telling of the all-familiar Devil and his clever wit. I'm almost upset that this was such a short story, but nevertheless, I'm beyond satisfied reading it. Brilliant work!

A Growing Cub Needs to Eat
astone2292 commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in A Growing Cub Needs to Eat
We have a horny cub, a lot of chopped wood, a concerning video conference, and more alphas... Oy vey... Another great chapter. -
What a Christmas gift! I'm excited to see what happens from here, particularly with Mike. Pardon me, a cold shower awaits...

Home Is Where Your Honey Is
astone2292 commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in Home Is Where Your Honey Is
You hush! Fantastic chapter! I am concerned the wolves will find them, but I'm sure that will be put off for a chapter or two... -
I've been reading were-creature stories since my freshman year in college and this story has toppled my favorites. The author's ability to dismantle, what I thought to be, a set-in-stone formation within this genre and rebuild it, is phenomenal. I look at this story and think, "Oh, so this is what a were-creature story is supposed to look like." Character creation is spotless and I fell in love with Kellar and Tobyn the moment they hit the scene. The dialogue was addictive, to say the least. Every word was placed in a natural way and together, they created each scene absolutely perfectly. For those who want to see a REAL shapeshifter story, this is it. As some reviews have stated, I can only pray to the earth mother for a sequel. There were a few subtle mentions throughout the story that has me hoping for a reappearance of some kind, but I imagine I'll be floored no matter what happens. Thank you for this wonderful story, Headstall!

Learning to Love Again

Romantic. Hot. And most of all, touching. The scene with Nils was spot on, and a perfect touch. Great job. -
The Werebirds and the Werebees
astone2292 commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in The Werebirds and the Werebees
The decision is now in Mike's hands. I'm very surprised at his take on being given the option. If I was told I was capable of being turned into a bear, I'd be little more freaked out. Other than that, I adored this chapter! -
I love long comments! Let's see if I can unpack a few things. All prey species DO deserve equality under the new law, but Cyn is placed in an unusual spot. He's learning of humanity's ways, including laws. At the same time, the law is a year old, which is enough time for "some" of the dust to settle. Now that the prey can't be hunted, they're empowered and want more in life. They've been given rights, and now they're hungry for privilege, something that certain lycans are finding detestable. Shea's becoming... well, a badass! Cyn is a deer, and besides hunters, humans typically marvel at a deer in their yard in a calm fashion. We stare and smile, instead of waving a stick in anger in an effort to shoo them. Cyn's effect of calm is understandable, but has any of our cast figured that out? Ha! The Odd Couple. Arric mentioned he felt bad when he made Cyn wet himself at the hospital. This sparked a change and Kieran seems to be the first take notice. But the alpha's noticed change in Kieran. Our dope has been forced to be calculating for his student's sake. Has Arric's wolf seen something it likes? Yes. Yes, a wolf does do that in the woods.

I just screamed. It was very similar to a fangirl's but not quite on the dot. Mike's safe, Gunnar's safe, Pip's along for the ride, and Roger's going to be a sexy scarred man. Not too shabby of a turnout! I am very happy with the decision to take Pip, and I think he's going to be a lot happier away from Kane's pack. Bad Dixie! Everything would have been perfect if you would've kept it quiet. I can't blame her for wanting to give a middle finger to her old pack, but dang! On the other hand, having the wolves chase them did create more time for Gunnar and Thomas to get Mike and Pip out of there. Another great chapter!

This community is the best I've seen on author/story sites, and I don't see myself going anywhere else. Breaking out of moderation was a euphoric experience, at least in my opinion. Also, small detail: it's 250 for your story reputation, not your overall site reputation. It's the number in a gray bubble under the green one on your author profile (the listing of your stories, not your profile where your "About Me" can be viewed [it's listed as 214 at the moment]). Made the same mistake when I started and I got suuuuuuper bummed. I literally do the exact same thing! I write on the fly. Other than a cast of characters with their behaviors and overall build, I barely plan my plots. I think it's more fun and more flexible than planning every scene out. *gasp* A whole series! I'm excited for this! And... you just posted the next chapter... Off I go!

The plan is wild and will surely go off without a hitch! The specially trained security/back-up dancers will be very entertaining to read about. Gunnar isn't certain about being a Papa?! I call shenanigans. He said it himself, Mike has Nils' eyes. Great chapter. I really appreciate the pace of chapter posting!

I think Arric has a clue, but our little dope might be clueless. Thanks for commenting, Patch! I may have been influenced by Reid in Kieran's character building a bit. I wanted him to be as smart, but I needed a personality change. Hence, the laid-back and dopiness. Try Death Wish out. I allot myself a new food product once a month in my grocery budget. I drink that brand every so often when I really need a boost or if I need to pull an all-nighter. Maybe Arric does like nerds, or maybe he has other plans... Cyn being comfy in the woods is true, but now the rogue wolves will be in their natural habitat. I see a double-edged sword. Death Wish is so good! Is it a fling? Is it a spark? Who knows! You're reading a romance novel! To quote John Mulaney during his bit about college, "I didn't drink water the entire time." I don't think you missed anything. Eike was with Cloe for a few hours, and Hauser was waiting. When ya gotta go, ya gotta go... The confession might have come if Eike noticed the increased fuzz (Ha! Lycan police = fuzz) activity.

I almost cackled, and Noah's napping next to me! Everyone has their preferred gun. I'm not sure if the why was explained, but Dr. Spencer Reid in Criminal Minds has a revolver while the rest of the team have typical handguns. I always find it amusing to see the skinny FBI guy with a hand-cannon. Uh-oh. Cyn's inadvertently changing things! Between the alpha and the cernunnos, only one thing is on the mind: wolf.

A loud commotion erupted outside of the room. Jaime and Kara were the first to their feet, positioning themselves in front of the second bed. Cyn rose from the bed. His heart pumped with fear. Wha- What’s going on? A silhouette flashed in front of him and from the scent, he instantly knew it was Shea. The deer's eyes darted to Kara, who silently grabbed a handgun from her duffel bag. The three lycan looked at each other, only for Shea to hold up a closed fist. Both men withdrew their pisto

Battle Plans and Reinforcements
astone2292 commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in Battle Plans and Reinforcements
Those two are braver than I. Uh-uh! I couldn't do cold water like that. While the water was chilly, the scene was steamy! Might as well get as much action in before the life-threatening mission. Great chapter! -
I don't know how I glossed over this concept...
