Thank you for commenting! Oh, boy! Some of the things my fingers say... I thought of one of my favorite lines from Rising in the Shadows. "Farmer, lumberjack, same thing. They play in the dirt and make money from it.” Oh, I'm just glad other people enjoy my humor.

A fresh take on were-creature stories! There are several interesting concepts within this story, and they each offer a breath of fresh air. Incorporating different breeds of dog was a unique choice, and it was executed well! Without looking at the author's other works, I would be interested to see other animals in this story's universe. This story has the capability of opening several possibilities for more adventures! A wonderfully written story that deserves plenty of attention! Fantastic job, and I look forward to additional projects in this universe.

Chapter 10: Delinquent Deity
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 10: Delinquent Deity
This just might be the best comment I've ever read. Wow, you're already foreseeing a celestial dinner? That's not in my story plans...but I think it should have been. I'm unsure of another celestial possession in Vincent's future, but this sounds like a blast! Yakob knows something, but we'll have to wait and see what. Mason is, no doubt, concerned! I'd hate to see my husband with multiple personalities, proclaiming an impending doom as he hoards all the Oreos from the pantry. Wagner has some serious punishment coming his way, I just can't wait for y'all to read about it! Now, now. Dave isn't a player...all of his partners want to play with his tatted body while he wants something more worthwhile. Maybe Stacy will get to repeat her words... Stefan already broke his word. He revealed such details when he revisited Shaw earlier. Despite being an egotistical tea-drinking greaser (Terik's words, not mine...), our villain hates to break his vows. No doubt, I'm sure he is still on Vincent's mind. Thanks for your wonderful comment, Philippe! I'm sure Cyrus himself would giggle at what you've posted. -
Chapter 10: Delinquent Deity
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 10: Delinquent Deity
Doom and gloom is sometimes necessary, especially when a Goddess puts her foot, err self, in our little shadow mage. I wanted Terik to but the exact opposite to her brother, and the pinch was the finest defining moment of displaying that. I'm still digging the suss on Stacy and Gwen! I'm loving it so much! I've said it before, and I'll say it again...there are better options for moles... I love this comment! I'm delighted to hear that this is one of your favorite series! Having three different major relationships in this story is crazy, and I'll be bringing back another one at some point! Dave and Stacy's relationship is a really interesting one to write for. Comparing theirs to all of the other relationships in this story, D&S's is surprisingly, the most normal in regards to typical dating! These two get to take their time and there isn't much getting in their way. M&V and C&K have a lot going on in their personal and work lives, and we'll see another relationship blossom around (in-story time) December. -

Chapter 10: Delinquent Deity
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 10: Delinquent Deity
I agree! Terik is much more fun than "Bolie." She may have a funny way of showing it, but I think she will be more prone to assist our heroes in their endeavors. The question will always be there: is Stefan watching? Now that Vincent can feel shadows around him, I think the "tea-drinking greaser" will need to find a new way to watch Little Vinnie. Ah, classic lycan and innocent human love. One holds a lot more information than the other, and it's always a page-turner when the human finds out about things... -
Chapter 10: Delinquent Deity
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 10: Delinquent Deity
Ha! I hope not either. I think we're getting an insight on how powerful some of Aliz's Destinies can be. A true and foretold battle with intense consequences... Lovin' the build up for Wagner's "punishment" for his nonsense! I know I saw this a lot, but I always love your comments, Patch! I'm glad I can pull out a Wow factor for you in every installment. Whaaaaat? No fury? No threat of sending in the Electric Tank? I...I don't think you're feeling well. Chicken fingers at 9 in the morning, with hilariously placed KY bourbon sauce? Love it! -
Chapter 10: Delinquent Deity

I enjoyed writing this chapter. A lot of progression in several ways. The next three chapters are going to be so much fun! Glad to see y'all liking the chapter and the story progression! -
Mason's heart pounded as his mate's words hit his ears. Shit! That's not him! Sounds like a girl's voice. It...it couldn't be? From the corner of his eye, he saw Tierney shoot to a standing position, ready to strike. "Ty, stand down! If this is what I think it is, there's no cause to be violent." "The fuck it isn't, Mace! You're mate's possessed!" "I can see that, but by whom is the question." The Alphas watched Vincent turn to each of them and let out another shrill giggle, "Wel

Ooooh, the next chapter could go several ways! I wouldn't call Kieran meek. He's very...dopey, but nevertheless, he would be one that is often ignored. Jeez-ums, Patch! You can't have Cyrus zap every person you don't like... Side note, I did my best to paint Pierce and Shelly as the ones who would have a finger pointed at, so I hope some of the readers were surprised to see Kieran being the one to let information slip.

Don't give him any ideas. He'll go off in the woods and find more cernunnos, "Guys...guess what the humans have." I'm thinking this should have been some sort of deleted scene from Over the Hedge. Little forest creatures who respond to the newly discovered substance like cocaine. "Put it on everything! Do it, do it now!"

Teehee! I guess it's part of being a Kentuckian: we love spinning stories. An astute observation... Another astute observation... Nope, I'm the opposite. I want the taste of all the veggies when I eat my salad with a touch of dressing.

Ha ha! I'm so happy you love my cliffies! I've been hammering away at more chapters for Rising in the Shadows, but I'll be back with a chapter here in a few days
-
I'm so excited for the next chapter and how the gang will handle this! Big ooof's on Kieran's part.

Fourplay squared would make that sixteenplay. I don't think Garjah wants playmates... I think I'm going to lose track of the hand placements. His hand went where now? It's holding his what? And he's grabbing that too? Essell touched what? Oh, jeez. I'm not envying Cia's eight-handed task ahead of her...

He loves me? Cyn studied the lycan’s face with an agape mouth. He’s...I think he’s chosen me as his mate! “I...I love you too, Sheamus.” The grip on his waist was tightened as Shea’s eyes widened in recognition. Shea could not stop himself as he captured the buck’s open mouth with his own. Yes! Cyn loves me too! After hearing a slight cough in the room, they broke their kiss and the two shifters looked towards the Alpha. “I can see Cyn has gotten over his fear of Farren’s new authorit

Umm, Essell? I wouldn't call that being brave... I believe the word starts with a 'H.' Personally, I wouldn't have stopped at bonding/reproductive research. Our human needs to learn more on customs, articulation of feelings, and overall structural integrity of the Four Arms race...also, there has to be a formal name for the Four Arms race. (or did I miss that?) Either way, we didn't get to learn a lot of details in regards to my comment from last chapter, but I got a feeling we're going to find out more in the next chapter! Essell read the books, now it's time for a demonstration...

Just as a small clarification, Ronnet isn't on Arric's list of baddies. The doctor is waiting on the DNA test to come back that was mentioned in Chapter 3. However, I think Ronnet got put on the comment section's "suspicious" list at one point.

From reading the comments, I'm glad to see the change in status was a fresh concept! You'll get more in a few days... Thanks, Hugsly! I've been looking at publishing options, and I think I'm going to take a big break when I finish both this story and RitS to pursue publishing. Being a need at heart, I'll want it in paperback, so they will probably be available in both. Though the scene was small, I feel that this was a great speed bump in the relationship! For the main character to think that their love interest feels like their attacker...ooof. Nope, Cyn is still a deer: can be spooked by anything that seems dangerous. Despite the person being Shea, Cyn still has some PTSD issues, and the Enforcer promotion triggered it. Holding the same position and status as Eike must be causing mental strain to Shea as well. Ronnet is the doctor that was treating Cyn. Oooh, this comment gave me the willies, all the way to my toes! Just gonna leave it at that! Dughlas is thinking with big brains! Our little deer is growing up... *sniff* I'm comparing this chapter to a inopportune bathroom break during a movie. You left and when you come back,, you missed something big plot-wise in just a few minutes. The clues are going to be revisited, as they will remain a priority. I say so, because they're in my plot notes Cyn's going to be stressed no matter what happens. I'm surprised he doesn't have blood pressure problems by now. There he is! I saved the best for last. I thought about it after I posted and I couldn't help but feel I recreated that fresh concept moment from LitS when the Alphas would talk to their animal consciousness. Seeing 3+ comments noting it, I think I can safely take the credit Glad you loved it, Patch!

Shea sat still in his chair. En...Enforcer? He swallowed down everything in his mouth with a single gulp. Enforcer? I’m...the Enforcer? Arric kept staring him down and was not letting up. Okay, so that’s not a joke. “Alpha Claude...you are serious?” Leaning back in his chair, Arric never strayed his sight, “Deadly. In the past few days, you have performed remarkable tasks that I doubt many of my pack could pull off. Regardless, next to Walter, you are the one I trust the most right now. I n

Chapter 9: Seraphic Stunt
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 9: Seraphic Stunt
Ooof! I cringed on the word "putdown." While some exciting stuff is on the way, I don't think we're gonna get that serious. Nope, Cyrus has no clue. I love writing for Cyrus! When he is all giggly, but also maintains complete professionalism, I almost want to push Kaplan aside and take the bear for myself. Then there's the flipswitch that Kaplan's old Alpha saw...giggly, to deadly... -
Chapter 9: Seraphic Stunt
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 9: Seraphic Stunt
You should tell the people of Last Post Wins Land that I...have the shiny! Kaplan, my Kaplan! You're giving me some Walt Whitman O Captain! My Captain! vibes... I just hope it doesn't resemble the meaning of that poem. Keep those warm fuzzies close, Patch. You'll need them for the upcoming chapters... Ah, yes. A goddess... A small quote from chapter 10 from Love in the Shadows: I admit, to a fresh set of ears, this all does sound pretty insane. "I swear to the Seven Gods, Tash. Vincent and I grew up together. But he moved away when…" Caleb trailed off, but after swallowing, he continued. "...when his parents died." The question will be: which one of the seven? -

Forget the Grand Central Station line, this made me laugh so hard, my neighbor's dogs started barking! Also, don't forget the mole...we can't forget about the mole that everyone keeps getting up in arms over... -

Pfft, "next chapter" he says... Have you learned nothing from Love in the Shadows? When you think something is coming soon, please hold for 2+ chapters. Don't you worry, Dirk and Vincent will be bashing their faces in soon enough. -
Chapter 9: Seraphic Stunt
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 9: Seraphic Stunt
Compared to my pace of writing then posting from Love in the Shadows, I'm having such a blast with this! So much is written ahead, and I can not wait to see what you have to say once it's edited. Also, I'm cackling so hard at the Grand Central Station line...
