A lot of shifter stories involve the characters being oblivious while the human/omega character being mortified. But we have Cyn, the very nomadic deer. If it was warmer, I'm sure he'd want to walk out of Arric's manor just as he was born! A beat down? Thor? Oh, boy! Y'all want some action? Simmer down now, let Shea pick up Cyn's pieces first... I just discovered Superstore, and as someone who has worked in retail for a decade, I am floored that I haven't watched this yet! New employee is told to discount all electronics 25% off. Marks everything down to $0.25, including TVs. Other employee makes an intercom page, "GO! GO! GO! Get it all while you can!" Supervisor fights a customer in the parking lot. The manager is having biblical conversations with the other new employee during utter pandemonium. I have found my new binge...

I'm beyond elated at the fact everyone's liking this concept of learning how one's typical belongings feel to a complete alien to human nature. I haven't read that novel, but if it's like Cyn's story, I might have to find me a copy...

Such an informational chapter! I loved how we finally learn more about the four-arms race and what goes on higher up the proverbial food chain! I am growing more curious on the pair bonding scenario. Surely Garjah is feeling something towards Essell, and not just the whole "I have a debt to repay" thing. Uh-oh. Do the tiny ant robots not like Essell? Are they reforming something that doesn't need reformed? *puts on conspiracy hat* Did Timok program the bots to harm Essell, rather than heal him? The situation is getting sticky, and not in the fun way! Next Wednesday can not come fast enough!

Creating moments for Cyn that we all take for granted is eye opening for me, and I'm glad the readers share the same feelings. Feeling a bed, jumping in athletic shoes, discovering how a pillow works. I know Cyn will discover more and more sensations throughout this story, but it's taking time for me to walk in his shoes to think, "Oh...would he have ever experienced such a thing before? If not, how would this feel for the very first time?" Glad to see your comments, Patch!

I am loving Shea's relationship with his teammates! Great friends and loyal team members, but they sure love picking on him. I'm enjoying writing these small chapters versus RitS' 5k+ ones.

Shifters can have side hobbies, too! Arric is one scary dude. I can't wait to bring out that side of him!!! Yeah, just a small upgrade. No big deal... Yeah! A rogue council member! This is gonna be fun!

I really need to stop posting before bedtime. It was very obvious, but this is just a nap. We can only imagine what's going to happen later.. On Cyn's half of the relationship, I'm just worried that our deer will put Shea in an extreme friend zone by accident due to his PTSD/survivor's guilt. Thank you! I'm trying hard with him. I want to resort to my own snarky attitude and quips, but I need to save those for Kara. This type of character is very new to me, and I'm afraid I'm taking his innocence too far sometimes. Ooof! This comment made me dig a mental rabbit hole in regards of how I want to adapt Cyn's mental state through this story! There's several different routes that just flew through my mind, and I don't know where to start! Lots to think about with this one... I don't think he has much of a choice, considering he's in a city, surrounded by moving cars and lycans. He still wants to go back to the forest, but now his human mind is at war by saying, "No! This is okay. I want the comfy bed!" Thank you! I'm happy my characters are so fun! I'll try to get chapters out a little faster, but work's been killing me as of late.

Feeding off the deer’s newfound enthusiasm, he suggested that the two should take their showers and head to town for some clothes. Cyn could use a few more clothes. He really needs some pants that would fit better. Cyn was hesitant about going to the city, but he felt the need to find a jacket so he could return Shea’s. The buck was directed to the next door bathroom and was left alone for some privacy. He knew how a shower worked, as he took countless during his time growing up. I missed

I like Stefan's relationship with Vincent. He left the boy alive all those years ago, found out he became a shadow mage like him, and has been tailing along this entire time. I believe Stefan found him fascinating to toy with, but is quickly finding that he may be a great power if left unchecked. Hmm, I may have to look into a flashback chapter with Yakob, or find time to let him spill his life to Vincent or another character. Always happy to see I have your approval, sir!

Oh my Gods!!! Centex is back!!! I am squealing like a girl right now! I loved starting with Dave and Stacy! Having a whole other couple in the story is so exciting! I can't wait to read more of your comments!

Yep. He used the Alpha Voice. I mentioned it briefly when Dave tried to soothe Vincent in the Greenthumb parking lot. Betas and Deltas can muster using it for a few seconds, but it can take its toll. Oh, Gods. Not the mustard! The affinities have manifested, but whether Vincent has discovered what all he can do with them is the question. Shadow Slinging...Frost Flinging...that's it! I can't help it! I was missing your comments and I needed a way to lure you out of the proverbial woods! I love writing for the animal minds! Vincent is eager easy to irriare, Mason is knowledgeable and also easily irritated, and Cyrus' is playful and bashful. I wanted to jump right back in ASAP, despite already working on a whole other story. I couldn't stay away from Owensville! Stacy is really fun to write for, and I need to bring her up more in the upcoming chapters. I agree, that's the quote to beat in the entire series thus far. I get that issue! It's not the hide of a panda, but I was aiming for a Rorschach test design that a psychiatrist would use. I will be looking into finding a new way to describe the rug to eliminate this issue. I'm so excited for Cy and Kap's relationship to blossom! I'm even more excited for Vincent's future fights! Our little hero is going to be adding a lot more weapons to his arsenal.
