Opening the door to his cramped apartment, Kaplan let out a groan that could wake the neighbors. He flung his briefcase onto his futon and took off for the bedroom. Fuck that guy! Wagner is a real piece of work! He had the audacity to start that in front of the courthouse with people all around us. Removing his tie, he tossed it to the side and sat down on his twin-sized bed. Leaning back, his neck touched the edge of the mattress, leaving his head to fall backward. Kaplan moved his arms up and

While I am nowhere near the point of publishing a story of my own, I want to begin preparations for the task. After looking through the FAQ in the Help tab, I did not find anything regarding how Gay Authors, in the form of administration, works with authors who are wanting to publish their work. Is there a set of guidelines/policies/rules in regards to keeping a story posted through this website, but also wishing to go through another route, such as Amazon KDP? I am not the most informed in regards to what the copyright to my posted stories allows me to do outside of Gay Authors, so I'm just curious of options to remain a good little author. I suppose I'm looking for the best "How-to" informational thread/article. I also may be a blind "idjit" and am possibly overlooking the proper information.

Ha! I'm not sure how I feel about our little deer getting into a fight. Cyn might leave the fighting to his boyfriend and the team.

I took some inspiration for Arric's character from one of my personal favorite characters in my literary readings. They live by the concept "you can never be too careful." Arric didn't become Lord High Muckity Muck overnight. In response to the guards' attendance, it was stated when Cyn, Shea, and Jaime first arrived that they were patrolling the woods. Should a familiar vehicle arrive, one would assume several sets of eyes would be on the arrival. Always adore your comments, Patch. Another chapter is being planned! I think Arric was concerned for everyone's safety. Finding a vehicle will take some planning, as the Kettle Morraine is a relatively large forest. Look at Shea getting some recognition! Maybe Cyn will give him a present of sorts... It will be interesting to see how Cyn's presence will affect the meeting. I doubt Eike would come to the meeting. As much as I'd want him to be beat down, it's a little too early for that.

I laughed pretty hard at this comment! I'm sure the next chapter will come along soon enough

Nothing slips past you, Dr. I agree. A lack of communication is a problem for this predicament. Perhaps Arric might have been flustered in his anger and the thought didn't come to him. I believe the branding will be the primary item of discussion for the pack meeting. I'm also not sure of the positive outcome of him telling Stella this, considering the commander of the tracking team is in the room with the Alpha. Shea did mention Eike is not to be trusted, so hopefully results from the report will come into fruition.

The warm lips pressed against his. Cyn’s eyes remained wide open as Sheamus’s face was touching his own. He kissed me! He’s...he’s kissing me! Letting his instincts take over, Cyn returned the action as he closed his eyes. He felt the lips part under the pressure, forcing his own lips to move in conjunction, only to have them close again for a second meeting. The buck felt an overbearing sense of ownership within himself. Is...is Sheamus choosing me? Choosing me as his mate? Moments passed

Author Guess Who #14 - The Reveal
astone2292 commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Look at you go, Val! I don't think anyone can get past you. -
Good move on Essell's part for asking for information regarding bonding and gender studies. I'm still pointing fingers at Timok and the oncoming trouble he may cause. I find it interesting that Essell cut off Timok's suggestion for coming to Garjah's chambers. Did Essell instinctively remember Garjah's warning of being touched by others, or was that the pair-bonding acting on its own? I smell a good, old fashioned info dump! Bring it on, Cia! Let's learn about alien genitalia!

Aww, were you waiting for the first smooch? I've planned out the mentality and set the bar of what Cyn has experienced and what he has not, but as he approaches something, I decide whether he has done it (sit on a bed, for example). I looked at how deer behave in the wild, as well as a refresher course in wolf packs, but for the most part, I'm making things up as I go. Oh, dear. I can't wait to introduce Shea's parents... Great. Another person found their way into my Google Drive... I'm so glad you're loving this story! I still thank @CincyKris for the offhand comment in LitS for this story's concept. It was so different and I wanted to tackle it! Working on a RitS chapter currently, so a new Cernunnos chapter will be written within the week

I knew as soon as I wrote the kiss, I would have Patch going bonkers! Glad you liked the chapter, bud!

Dismissing Cyn was a mistake, for certain. What may be unseen in the story is whether Marric was just setting up his gear for the shot, or if he's that terrible of a gunman. Perhaps he had a thought process of, There's...there's no way that deer just saw me. Yep. They scattered. Crap! Plenty of snow in Sheboygan to put out the fire...just sprayin'. I do agree things will start getting more intense. For both Cyn, and his relationship...
-
Now to see how our little deer reacts to having his lips licked... Thanks, Val! Glad you liked the ending

I think I misinterpreted "main tracking team" as Shea's group and not the actual pack tracking team. That's my bad! In regards to who misdirected the team, we'll find out. Lots of information can be found from a phone... Marric, as well as the other two stooges, knew where the attack on Cyn happened. He must have been keeping surveillance on the area. Even though a one on five fight was a kamikaze move, there were two targets that were worth taking the shot, at least in my opinion: Cyn and Arric. If Marric landed a shot on either of those two, the situation would have been dire for the group. It's possible Marric accepted the fact he would be a goner, but he did his darnedest.

Glad I could cause some heart palpitations! Thanks for reading and commenting!

Twenty chapters later and they finally kiss! I'm sure Arric's pack is up to speed on all the latest technological ways to pick apart a phone. I may be misreading the underlined portion, but I'm a little confused at the message being conveyed.

The order was clear and no one dared to defy it. Cyn and Shea took off to the left, the Turbins went another direction, and Arric ran behind the nearest tree. Cursing himself mentally, the Alpha nursed his injured pride. How did Cyn know? I didn’t smell a thing, let alone feel anything in my instincts! A hunter. Growling to himself, the wolf’s thoughts flew. This can be no coincidence! A hunter near the site of a cernunnos attack? A loud gunshot sounded from the vicinity of the hunter. He’

Chapter 8: Inquisitive Individual

I love the growing suspicion on both Dregi and Stacy! We can now add Gwen to the suspect pool as well! All I can say is this... -
Chapter 8: Inquisitive Individual
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 8: Inquisitive Individual
Thanks for commenting, Centex! I don't believe carrying Mason will build Vincent's strength with the big man focusing on being weightless in the shadows. Thank you! Someone finally believes in Drego! She would be a great mole! Stacy fits perfectly for the role. I think there's a better suited person, but I'll keep my mouth shut on that one... -
Chapter 8: Inquisitive Individual
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 8: Inquisitive Individual
I apologize. Replying to comments and getting ready for work are not the best combination. Reading about the shadow affinity and combating it are two different scenarios. I do agree with the old trade Yakob is performing, but such shroud has left a bad taste in a majority of the magical world's mouth. Shadow mages are depicted as evil. Vincent wants to share how the magic operates, not how it is obtained, as that knowledge isn't too well known. When a book is written how nonmagical beings obtain the power comes to fruition is when it will become truly dangerous. Should Yakob teach that to his student(s), it is now up to the students to determine what to do with the knowledge (look at Stefan and his morality). We can move this topic to the LitS forum, or a PM, as I'd prefer not to crowd the comment section with conversation. I'm loving this topic, by the way! It's interesting to see the possible branches of how shadow affinity research could alter this story's universe (not affecting the story, as I already have the plot developed). -
Chapter 8: Inquisitive Individual

Umm...Patch? I think you're going a little too harsh. I know Kap is your man, but let's just simmer down. I highly doubt Stacy is the mole. Glad to see your comment. I'm just loving the collective suspicion on Drego! Y'all can't give this man a break? Oh, dear. He's adapted to acronyms. Also, the word of the day, is unbridled. Teehee. I'm starting to think y'all hate Wagner as much as you do Stefan. Wait, you want to send me to the shadow realm? This isn't Yu-Gi-Oh... Now you leave that little straight boy alone! He's got a lot on his plate and he can spend some time with his girl. It is Vincent's goal to make the shadow affinity something to be proud of. I doubt our little shadow mage will reveal everything, mostly since he doesn't know everything. We also have the concept of book-experience versus life-experience at play. One can read all about how to white water raft, but performing the task is another story. -
Chapter 8: Inquisitive Individual
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 8: Inquisitive Individual
This was so funny! NYC is on the way, I promise, no more distractions! Vincent can't help but want to meet the guy who knows as much about Stefan as he does. Wagner is such a dink, but I can't help but say that I enjoyed writing his little angry scene. I'm just so glad Kaplan was unafraid to stand up to him! -

I'm sure they didn't mean to ignore you. They were just passing through. You might need to let Vincent know some good places to eat so he can add it to his Shady Delivery Service menu. Stacy seems like a cat person. Let's just hope for the best I'm digging the Drego suss! Reminds me when everyone became judgemental over Quinn and Shaw back in LitS. -
Days passed and Vincent felt ready. His bracelet was full and his bag was packed. He was ready for his trip to New York. I'm so excited! Are you, bud? Yes! Want fight! Want beat Ty! We'll probably want to face Dirk first. I think he'll be the easiest to face. Yes, but no go easy. He still strong bear. May be tough. Yeah, no doubt. But I really want to go up against Ty! Yakob thinks we have a decent shot. The mage had spent the majority of his week reading the packet Tie

Thank you so much! I'm rather touched by the term "artist." I went to college for Studio Art, and I'm not ashamed to say I have abandoned that side of my life after graduation. To be called an artist again is so touching and moving to me! Thank you.
