Hell, I can't believe we're close to the end! Started this ride over two years ago! It might be a bit but I'm coming back to this universe. Definitely for Zombies in the Shadows and possibly a future story involving a grown-up Lowe. Other stories are beckoning for me (Cernunnos sequel, Cow-man, and MOH [Mail-Order Husband]) though, so a future installment might take several months, maybe even a year.
Ain't that the truth! No honor in this man, other than offering Vincent a fair fight.

It's definitely a possibility. Perhaps it's a morbid way of giving Vincent his final lesson. Perhaps it's Aliz's way of pushing the destiny along. Plenty of possibilities.

I love Yakob. Like so many other characters, I never meant to create him, but when I decided to make the story a trilogy, he was needed. He never fleshed out much, but his actions and life spoke for him.
Numb, Vincent absent-mindedly followed Raul into Yakob's chambers. The leader of the monastery laid on the bed, and Vincent could see and feel his condition. His shadow's a little smaller, and he has more wrinkles. What the hell happened? "Yakob?"
The frail man slowly craned his neck and smiled when he looked at him. "Vincent. It's good to s—"
Yakob coughed violently. Rushing, Raul grabbed a tray on the end table and brought it. "Master, please don't use your voice."
