  1. As long as it's quality I got the potatoes! Pulling them from a recent chapter.
  2. Next edition of AAA: Ask an Audience, Cook-Off edition. kbois and astone2292 against Carlos Hazday (plus partner of your choosing). And I'll twirl my ponytail. Man... Chris is gonna have a great time reading the comments when he shows up.
  3. You're right. I'm your main competition regarding food in stories. I'd whistle. Noah would holla at'cha.

    Chapter 110

Okay. Bouncer playing with children just might be the most adorable thing ever. I wonder if one of the kiddos will climb on Bouncer's back for a ride around the home... Garjah and Essell get some much needed cuddle time. Me thinks with that last line Essell plans on being Garjah's campaign manager for a solo-Kardoval takeover.
  5. Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold on there. That's not the right title, is it? Ask An Author 3.0 #21? Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah! Batman. All jokes aside, there's a good point in my confusion. Is this even legitimate? I need the official AAA rulebook because I'm pretty sure what's about to go down is so off the beaten path. If you haven't already guessed, we don't have questions this month. At least, not for an author. Guess again! It's not an Admin, Author, Promising Author, Signature Author, Classic Author, or even Moderator. Yep! We got ourselves a regular, plain-Jane member in the hot seat today. I gotta say, I'm really excited to have this person featured on Ask An Author. Can we get a round of applause for a familiar face on Gay Authors? Someone roll out the red carpet for @chris191070! • • • • • chris191070 324 Stories Reviewed / 8,315 Comments / Also Known As: Crazy Cat Vamp With over three hundred story reviews, you're one of the most recognizable readers on GA. If you were stuck on an island with only one GA story, which one would it be? It would be difficult to pick just one story as I have read and reviewed some amazing stories on GA. So I would have to go with a story Series and that would be CJ by @Carlos Hazday, because they have a bit of everything in them. Adventures, Sex, History and Good Food. Not really a question, but I'm in charge here. Name three stories on your "I'm planning on reading this at some point" list. 1) Circumnavigation by @C James 2) Still You Want Me by @Mrsgnomie 3) Anything that Appeals by a New Author - I like to help and support New Authors. If you could get a sneak peak at one of the in-progress stories and see the ending, which one would it be? 1) Book 3 of The Hybrid Journey Series by @kbois - I know we're only halfway through Book 2. But right from the 1st chapter of Book 1, I have been gripped by this series with its attention to detail and how questions from Book 1 have seamlessly been answered in Book 2, knowing unanswered questions will be answered in Book 3. 2) The Super Epilogue of The Board Members Series by @Mrsgnomie - We have been left with unanswered questions from Book 2 - Jay's Loelife. Thanks for these questions, they were not particularly easy to answer. As I've read some amazing stories in the 5 years I've been a member of GA. • • • • • Well, wasn't that a breath of fresh air? Thank you @chris191070 for answering these questions. Sometimes I forget it's not just about writing stories on GA, but also reading them. I'm sure I speak for a lot of us when I say we're always excited to see you reading one of our stories, Chris. For that, thank you for being such an awesome member of our community. Y'all know the drill! Give me three questions for a member of Gay Authors, I'll put on a fedora with PRESS written on an attached sticky note, and I'll knock on some doors to find you the answers. Okay, probably not with the fedora. I don't have a great suit to wear one with. Regardless, send in your questions!
  6. I'm not sure if Vin is the only one the Seven have been watching. Lots happens around us rather creates history. Will we get a proper explanation? 🤷‍♂️ Maybe the divine affinity is so rare and unheard of for a different reason. Mmmmm. Consequences. Is having one person with so much power against the divine rules? The Seven should publish a book.

    The King

Yup! Cervidas is a deer, Egaro is a tiger. In the upcoming chapters, you'll read about a Lidikrys (rat), a Dalmar (dog), and a Faro (fox).

    Beanie Babies

WAIT! @kbois used a M name. Mazen, Jarren's brother. Can we get an official tally between the two authors?
  9. Jeez-ums H. Christ, Mary, Joseph, and the forkin' donkey. Did I just snort a line? My nose isn't powdery... What a forkin' roller coaster! Defamation suit, embryos, tragic loss, surprise twins that Loe did not want. Nope. Coffee table's clean. No lines there. I need a cigarette...

    Best of Friends

Don't know how I didn't missed this line. My instant response: "nice."

Thanks, SR! Yeoldebard and I collaborated with this, and each chapter is a different story set in the same place in different times. I'll come back to Lennox and Vasil at another time, but I hope you enjoy the rest of the stories!
  12. Congrats on the promotion!!!
  13. Not sure if you remember your comment from a year ago in Cernunnos, but Yeoldebard and I finally did a collab for this year's anthology. Not sure if you've read it or not, but thought you'd like to know 😉.
  14. So happy to see your comment, Patch! I certainly can't wait to read your reactions to rest of this story.

Ick! Keep your flu-ridden tushie away! I'm enjoying my last days of vacation. Don't need it ruined. 😷
  16. Certainly. Now what will she really come up with?
  17. Oh, lord... We're off the speculation ship and into the looney bin. For some reason, I'm trying to think of a way for baby Stefan to work. All I keep coming up with is an Italian Stewie.
  18. Alternatively, I could have ended the fight with Vincent as the simple victor. There might have been some unfortunate losses (i.e.: magical ability, limb loss) if I went through that route, but it would've equally been, as you say, an ass pull. There would've been sunshine, rainbows, and probably another cholesterol-raising grill-out afterward. That's the typical good guy versus bad guy storyline in writing, whether it be anime, fiction (in all of its branches), or television. While I do appreciate the fuzziness and positivity of those scenarios and story endings, I want to try something different. I want to de-normalize typical tropes when examining good versus evil. In superhero comics or other literature, the hero can die. Oftentimes, they come back to life in some manner (i.e.: The Lazarus Pit) with literally no consequence whatsoever, and I have the desire to chuck the book across the room. What's the point? Makes me feel like an unenthused cheerleader. "Hero dies, hero lives. Rah-rah-<whoopee cushion noise>." I will promise consequences for this route Vincent and Terik are taking. Will some find it a coward writer's way out? Absolutely, but I like the road less traveled. I'm also a gambling man. I'm eager to see where the story takes me as the writer. I do appreciate your comment. I take in all feedback; positive, negative, speculative, or critical. It's needed to progress as a writer and author. This is my first trilogy. Do I plan on attempting another? I'm unsure. It's causing a lot of mental strain, but I'm having a great time. I started Love in the Shadows not knowing jack-$h!t about plot creation and maintaining those issues. I just kept creating and creating and creating more and more to the plot. I'm using that mistake as a learning experience, and will look to make a more author-friendly environment in my next large story.
  19. I swear, if Terik literally fights with the power of anime and cartoons, this might be the most ridiculous final fight in any story on GA.
  20. Oh, am I that obvious? 😏
  21. It's been cliffhanger central in the past few chapters. I'm afraid I might have one or two more in store... Might...

I'm almost done! Hold yer horses. BTW, Jack Daniels and Mtn Dew Thrashed Apple has become my new go-to drink.
