  1. Halfway into writing this story, I knew I needed something drastic to differentiate it from similar shifter stories. Bingo! Mental conversations with the shifter's animal spirit. I kept reading small blurbs of "My wolf doesn't like this." Let's just crank that up a few notches. I'm happy to see you're having a great time with my stories!
  2. Mason telling his mom anything important? Ha!
  3. He could push his own shadow deep enough into the water to connect to the body's shadow. At least that's how I envisioned it when Vincent finally leaves the country in the future books.
  4. What a wonderful comment to wake up to! Can you believe this was my first attempt at writing? All this came to be because I was a daydreaming grocery stocker. Just doing my thing one night, dropped a can, and stopped it from sliding under the shelf. For some reason, I couldn't stop looking at the shadow all night. I would have to walk back and forth, up and down my aisle stocking, and I wished I could just zip my way down. Bingo. I started daydreaming, added a few characters, and here we are. Thank you so much for commenting, raven. I love your outlook on my stories!
  5. Pretty soon, Vincent will start training to be an Olympic diver. When writing this book, I wasn't planning on having a book two or three, but I'm glad I chose to. So much left to happen!
  6. Philippe's comments are always entertaining. I toyed with the thought of saving a collection of my favorite comments, and if I were to do so, there's have to be a whole booklet dedicated to just Philippe (with a chapter dedicated to his fecal oscillator). When I first started writing, I took the imaginary anxiety in my mind, sucked it into a turkey baster, injected it into my arm, snorted a line off my keyboard and got to work! Now, I'm a little calmer, but I'm now known for dropping bricks with "Coyote Cliffy" written on them. Also, I graduated with a BA in Studio Art. Somehow, my description visuals thought I was an English major...

    Chapter 1

What a treat! An absolute treat! So many jokes (both in plain sight and hidden) in the story, and I love them all. McSorley's.
  8. Teehee! If you think this is a twisting ride, then you better find a back-brace by the time you get caught up to the third book. There are plunges, twists, turns, loopdeeloops, and even moments of being upside-down. Your nightly comments have become something to look forward to when I get off work. I'm thrilled to hear you're enjoying this.
  9. I really needed this comment. This was very funny! I love the small disagreements between Vincent and Wolfcent. Just wait until Vincent mentions spinach and Wolfcent goes Blegh! Lots of fun going on here, in all senses of the word. Dirk and Dave... well, they're the ones that have to deal with their alphas' crap nine out of ten times. Plenty of stories to tell and complaints to gripe about. Surely nothing hinky is going on here. Besides, Dave's got his new girl that hands out "Hunk" cups at Beansies.
  10. There was a bitter taste in his mouth. Wagner rode the elevator down from the sixth floor of an apartment building. Is this really what I’ve become? It’s just fucking ugly! Must do. For pack. That’s the only thing keeping me sane! Fuck, I just told a family of three to get the hell out of their home. Bad, but need to. Snyder bad and Alpha need know. I know. Dig deep and claw through it. Back on the sidewalk, he headed for his bike. This has to go somewhere, right? Snyd
  11. The build-up to Vincent's shift was one of my favorite parts of this story. Adding another part of yourself is so important, and I felt it was never given a fine-tooth combing in other shifter stories. Vincent is about to have a second body-form! It's so important. Cyrus still reigns as my favorite character to write for, with Cyn from Cernunnos being a close second. Elegant, playful, intelligent, and loving. So much packed into a giant bear.
  12. While Stefan is evil and powerful, I wouldn't label him a threat to the celestial community. Sure, they decided to intervene in a very passive manner, but it all depends on what happens in the destiny. What does Stefan do if he beats Vincent? One must wonder... I really fell in love with the NY crew. They became such an integral part of the series.
  13. Teehee! Just make sure you don't mention my book to your heart doctor. I don't need to be put on some secret banned book list in the medical community.
  14. I did my best to embody a panda's natural behavior in Cyrus. He's joyful, playful, but deadly when irked.
  15. I loved introducing the alter-egos! They're similar and different at the same time. VinnieW is such a newborn pup. Lots to learn about the world he's entered! I forkin' love Cyrus, and I'm sure you'll love him too.
  16. Thank you so much for the compliment! It was rough, but I'm happy with the result.
  17. Detective Spamsandwich is a interesting character to write for. He both deserves and does not deserve to be a police detective. Ty? A ruse? There hasn't been this much suspicion put on him before... let's see if you're right.
  18. I dunno... I think Vincent's dibs is bigger than Lei's...
  19. Oooh, this is a first for the series. Lei did call dibs on Stefan's ass first. Nothing says angry like a handlebar mustache.
  20. Detective Stinker has no intellect, if I'm being honest. Stefan tells him Vincent has magic powers like him, and what does Stinker do? Goes right up to him, unafraid of getting a frost-dagger in the gut, and says, "I know what you can do, and I'm gonna go tell an adult!" You know, like a 5 year-old?
  21. Family is very foreign to me. While I love my parents very much, the rest of the family are just Facebook friends at this point. Everything was fine and dandy until I was eighteen/nineteen-ish. Then we went back to Medieval times. "You're working at a grocery store? How is this strengthening the bloodline? Do you expect to father many children?" That sort of stuff... In a way, Vincent's new family is akin to what I was given when I married Noah. A welcome with open arms, grill-outs, family gatherings with jokes and laughter. It was a complete 180 degree turn compared to what I was used to, but now I have trouble putting on my "old family" mask. Something about the fake smiles and stoic postures make me ill.
  22. Worked in grocery retail for over a decade. You learn the ins and outs of grocery shopping very fast. I enjoyed working on the overnight stock crew since I could see what items were going on discontinued or what went on a hella-good sale before the store opened. Really useful when laundry detergent got marked down .
  23. Even the author has doubts that such a malevolent cuck like Stefan could have something called the divine affinity. But then again, the series isn't done yet...
  24. LMAO! If I ever get to Ty and Morr's wedding, I'll be sure to have them leave the chapel with that blaring.
  25. I still get excited when I reread this chapter. It's so much fun!!
