Maybe buying and moving in to the house will give Aaron more “realness” to the idea that he and Tony are back together forever.

I can see this as Tony's cause celebre, because with those movie deals he will be a full-fledged celebrity. He can truly accomplish some good, with his friends' help.

Matt gets an offer & Kjell is annoyed
CincyKris commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Matt gets an offer & Kjell is annoyed
I wonder if Kjell experienced something or someone in his past that is influencing his current thinking? Or he's just a closed minded jerk. At least Bella seems much more reasonable, maybe she can talk some sense into him. Peter was wonderful at mediating the incident. I was a little surprised at Gray's internal response to Vince's news about Peter, but not surprised at his ruminations. Gray is very self aware, befitting a poet. Great news for Matt, he will be able to take a breath! -
There are heavy chapters and then there's this chapter! Wow, poor Henry has lived an extremely sheltered lonely life. I think the old Henry died in the cold, I think the new Henry will have more love in his life. Through the bleakness there is hope on several fronts. Theo, Walter, Henry, Teyshawn are all looking at massive change in their lives.

I wonder if Jim's brain might actually explode? Jon has the patience of a saint. Alex will be gutted at this news, I hope Jim can pull it together for his sake. As for Keith, my opinion of him is so low that I really don't care about his well-being, other than the effect his douchery has on his family.

I think it's Val and Marina that need the dildos! I doubt they have any more time for each other than they have for their sons.

This chapter was so heavy, so filled with suspense. Poor Henry is a lamb amongst the lions, he will be lucky to get away just getting robbed and bruised. Teyshawn and Devon are running for their lives. At least Damir didn't succeed, and he's starting to crack.

I hate his dad Soooo much right now! I hate his mom for supporting his dad. How can she even sleep at night?! I hope Luca can figure out a way to help Jamie get through this.

Alex has so much support from his family. When he gets over his hurt, he will show the car company that mighty things come in small packages!

Whispers and Wanderlust
CincyKris commented on E K Stokes's story chapter in Whispers and Wanderlust
The Crusades and the reign of the Stuart's were separated by several hundred years. Is this an alternate reality story? -
Liam is showing us he still lacks confidence in himself. He is remarkable, but can't accept that as a fact. Everyone that really knows him likes him. How can you not?

I guess 2 out of 3 ain't bad, to quote Meatloaf! No sympathy from me for the selfish, idiotic Deirdre. She could have chosen her son over Jasper when he started verbally attacking Toby. I will admit she is not a monster or a complete disaster, she does love her son. I don't think she is naturally a mom-type person. I am happy that Jasper is out of the picture, glad that Toby is a happy kid, and glad that Deirdre will be a permanent long-distance parent.

I did not like that Jim chose the automatic "lying his way out of it" as his first response to Alex dropping the bomb. I'm trying hard to like James and see in him what Jon sees. But he has a very long way to go for me. We'll see if he can redeem himself from the lying, indecisive, over thinking guy to someone his son can actually look up to.

I have to admit, I'm really confused. Alex had one session with Jon. I looked back at previous chapters to make sure I wasn't wrong. This is Alex's second lesson: He’s a bit disappointed that Jon isn’t there, but the stand-in instructor is just as good. They went hiking the following every other week session. So why has Jim invented some deep relationship between Jon and his sixteen year old son, after they have spent a total of one boxing session together?

I admire Walter's mom for disregarding her husband's wishes to stay by his side. She probably saved his life. I have faith that the taskforce will figure this out. The elder Walter is sloppy and there are a lot of smart people trying to catch the Wolf. I have a feeling that his wife and/or his "spare heir" will be the source of his undoing.

I'm hopeful that the bikers are just supportive, I doubt predators would have allowed Daniel to attend the meeting in the first place. Daniel's lack of reaction to Joshua now makes more sense. I can't wait for the reunion!

Deirdre’s idiot boyfriend
CincyKris commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Deirdre’s idiot boyfriend
My gut is telling me that Deirdre knew all about the smuggling, but rationalized it was ok since it was only handbags. I don't think she is smart enough to link smuggling handbags with an organized criminal organization and what else might be smuggled. Maybe she guessed at it but put her head in the sand because it was convenient? I appreciate that you are, yet again, showing us the effect of bad press and gossip on the unintended victims, the family of the culprits. While my opinion of Jasper is unchanged (he has always been detestable), Deirdre started out bad, slowly rose, now she is back in the toilet! -
To the Range! - Part 3
CincyKris commented on Late to the party's story chapter in To the Range! - Part 3
Alex keeps showing what a great dad he is, through his actions. -
I have to admit that I'm beginning to wonder how Ray has managed to live so long. I am guessing he has had people much more intelligent than him as carers. Will he get out of his brain fog now that he's warm, fed, and rested?
-
Well that was quite an overreaction by Jim. The least mature person in this chapter was the oldest.
-
I was surprised that Jon was Korean-Canadian, but that is kind of on me. When there was no physical description of the guys (other than their builds), I just assumed they were both Caucasian. I liked the mostly comfortable way the men interacted. Their was the occasional awkwardness that is expected from a new relationship, but mostly a feeling of comfort.
-
I think that's because of the time continuity issues. We were told in chapter one that he and Cammie met in college, married and had Keith within the first year, Alex 7 years later. They divorced after 25 years of marriage, making Keith 24 and Alex 17. If we add another 5 years, which we apparently need to now, the boys should be 29 and 22. That doesn't work at all with the storyline. This could all be solved with a simple edit of the length of their marriage to 19 or 20 years. This is otherwise a really good story.
-
So, it's not just me! It appears the new son might have been added on one of their trips to Italy. It's great that Bryce is open with his parents about sex, he's a lucky boy. This was another sweet chapter.
-
Of course any mention of Jasper being locked away is welcome news. But, I am also worried about Deirdre's reaction. They have recently improved their relationship, will send her the other direction? Will the police disclose their sources? Surely Deirdre is aware of his dodgy side gig, was she expecting this result eventually? I'm more comfortable with her as a long distance parent.
-
This was sweet, in the best way possible. Alex could have had a truly helping childhood with his condition and being mute, but his loving and accepting family made all the difference. I love his brothers.
