Another great story from @Headstall. From the first line, you feel like you know these characters and are involved in their lives. They come alive with their dedication, with their flaws, bust most importantly, with their love for each other. They are as lifelike and realistic as can be, just as one would expect from a story by this author. Once again, he manages to captivate me and made me lose a few hours of sleep because I couldn't stop reading. I can't recommend this story enough, it is at least on par with his former stories. Simply put, in my opinions there is no better author when it comes to tales of the Old West in this website! Thank you Gary!

Here in the third and final part of Wearing Green on Thursdays, we follow the life of Bruce Hutton after college. We accompany him on his first steps in the real world as he deals with the aftermath of having his partner ripped away from him, of having to figure out his purpose in life and what role men, love and sex play in it. Again, thanks to @Tim Hobson's amazing writing skills, this is a joy to read and a very entertaining, and at many times heartwrenching, closure of this series. Thank you for writing these stories Tim!

Bruce, who we already know from the first book of this series, starts college and a whole new part of his life. He discovers a lot about life, about sex and about relationships. He isn't the same boy he was back in the first bopok but is slowly moving along to become a man. Is it smooth sailing? No, definitely not. And I highly encourage you to read this very well written second book of a great series written by the incredibly talented @Tim Hobson. Thank you for writing this series!

We follow Bruce and Craig through discovering that they both have feelings for each other that go above and beyond friendship. And I can tell you, it's worth every single page. You'll laugh with them, you'll shout at them and you'll cry for them. As with his previous trilogy, @Tim Hobson doesn't disappoint one bit. And if the other two volumes of this trilogy are as good as this one, it's for sure a candidate for the Top 10 books on GayAuthors.

If novels dealing with sci-fi, time travel, romance or wars are your thing, you need to read this book. If none of the four mentioned genres are your typical read, you should read this story nonetheless. I’ve rarely come across a story so multifaceted as this one is, so we’ll written or so immersive that it sweeps you off your feet from start to end. dkstories captivated me from the first chapter, and took me for a wild ride that was worth every single minute spent in his world. Davey, the main protagonist, gets transported back into his youth, and while he’s actually a thirty-something, he’s reliving his teenage years, trying to fly under the radar and not give away the fact that his mental age differs widely from his physical age. In trying to keep his family away from things that happened before, or will happen from his current point of view, he sets events in motion that he can’t stop once they are under way. Thank you for this book, dkstories. I can see myself rereading this book in the future.

Wow what an enjoyable reading experience. The characters, the suspense, the science, the images it conjured up in my head. I’ve had a hard time not to stay up and read it all in one go last night! I highly recommend giving this story a chance to immerse you in its world. You won’t regret it if you enjoy sci-fi and a bit of romance.

Stepping Through the Mirror
Pascal reviewed Headstall's story in 2016 - Winter - Rewind: Pre-2016 Themes
I am usually not a big fan of short stories, but for some very special authors I make an exception here and there. This was one of those, and it turned out to be a very good decision. We get a glimpse of Blake’s every day life, which isn’t bad in any way, he just has to live in some very big shadows. Right after that glimpse, we have the chance to follow him on a very special evening. At least a very special evening for him. That sadly doesn’t mean his family sees it the same way, for them, there are more important things they have to attend to. But maybe Blake will finally get what he deserves: someone who sees him. Thank you Gary for this very sweet story. Your ability to make characters come alive, to turn emotions and the inner workings of your protagonists into words and to make the reader feel is amazing, as always.-

When you see a story by Mrsgnomie, there’s always a chance of at least 50% that it won’t be good. This is one of those stories. We follow two very well carved out characters through several years, from infatuation to love. Both guys grow a fair amount and realize what is important to the other one and how to overcome some obstacles. No, this story isn’t good. It’s amazing. It’s very typical for Mrsgnomie, which I mean as a big compliment. Thank you for this, this will be a favourite of mine, just like so many of your other works of art.

What a great story. It’s got it all, first and foremost a few great characters and absolutely fantastic storytelling. I highly recommend to give this story a read! The connection to Larkspur and the good doctor was just an added bonus and made me want to to back to those two stories again!

When you stumble upon a story from @Dabeagle you know with certainty that it's going to be a great ride. House of Frost for sure didn't disappoint! There are the great, well carved out characters (main and supporting!), there are twists, there's horror, there's romance... Oh, and also a spark or two of magic. But above and beyond all, I think this is a story about friendship and love and how that influences even the strongest person. Thank you for this story!

WOW, what a story! I’ve read a lot of stories and books, and this one certainly belongs up there on top with the best of them. With every new chapter the reader gets deeper into a special and carefully woven world, that at first doesn’t make too much sense, but then, after twists, turns, revelations and surprises, it all fits together like a 10‘000 piece puzzle. And uncovering it all is as satisfying as working on and finishing such a puzzle. I love how this story mixes different genres, first and foremost fantasy and coming-of-age, so easily with each other and manages to perfectly match dark, serious tones with some light, happy and funny moments. The way each character is carved out and developed throughout the chapters is amazing, and they all just fit nicely together and complement each other. I am hard pressed to find something negative to say about this story, the only thing that comes to mind is maybe the length of the chapters, but that’s mainly because I couldn’t stop when I should have stopped so I had a few short nights thanks to this story. I am very happy to have discovered this, and I am even happier that the author is working on a sequel. Thank you X

We follow Kye, after he makes a decision that will change his life forever. The question is though, will he be able to change too, overcome his learnt behaviour and thinking? What a fantastic story! Every character is so well written, they come alive in every scene. Thank you @craftingmom for making me cut a few nights short 😉

In this fifth part of the series, we get to know Siku, the polar bear, better and join him on his journey to find his true mate. Of course it’s not all smooth sailing, so be prepared to not being able to stop reading until you’ve come to the end. This is as well written as the previous four parts and the author continues to show his strength in writing each character in their unique and very believable way. Thank you @Grumpy Bear for these five stories. I hope there’s more to come. Maybe a Charlie spin-off?

As the last one of the Tales Along the Way, this story is the conclusion of three great books. We accompany an American to Peru, where he gets captured for ransom. While witnessing his ordeal, we also get to see how his family back home deals with the situation. Compared to the second one, the author treats us to more action-packed scenes while not forgetting to carve out the different characters or gift us some well written erotic scenes. The only thing I could criticise about this series is the speed of which the protagonist of each one of the three books falls in love. But since this is the only point of criticism I have, I much rather focus on the immense talent of the author and recommend these three stories (and most likely any future stories he’ll write) to everyone in need of a captivating story. Just make sure to have two or three days with not many other plans. You’ll have a hard time to stop reading.

After The Knight’s Tale we have the pleasure to read the next story of this series, this time about a Catholic priest who starts to question his faith, his sexuality, and during the story, his feelings as well as his morals. This takes him not only onto a journey across America, but also onto a journey to himself. The tone of this story is different from the previous one, which only shows the authors ability to write different characters and different story-lines. It’s much less action-packed, the focus lies more on the inner struggles of the protagonist. I highly recommend reading the other two books in this series as well, each one is a great book and all three together showcase the immense talent of the author.
