    Chapter 1

Oh the cute. I'ma die. I feel like I should have fiery anime-style fan-girl eyes right now. Moar!
  2. Heh, I don't remember ever "telling" my mom. When I first came out it was to a friend of mine named Chelsea and I was nervous, twitchy, stuttering, and freaking out altogether. When I finally said "I'm gay" she just looked at me like she was confused for a second and then said "I know" and then it was business as usual again and we went to hang out and do whatever. As far as my mom though, I think I just dropped the hint and she picked it up and we rolled with it. I never had to deal with coming out to her. She always just seemed to know and accept it and has never been anything but sincerely supportive. This is the same woman who tells me that when she gets rich she's going to hire a pool boy and name him Pedro and make him wear nothing but a speedo, though, so maybe we just happened to have common interests.

    Chapter 4

Chapter Four My eyes focused on the road uneasily. The only sound was the roaring from the open windows. As fast as I exhaled, the wind violently ripped the smoke from the car. I looked over toward the passenger seat to see Wyatt staring out the window. He hadn’t said anything yet, either, and I wasn’t even sure if I was supposed to be dropping him off at his house or if he wanted to hang with me for a while. I pulled into Heather’s driveway and came to a stop with a sigh. “I’ll see y

    Chapter 3

Chapter Three A week later, Wyatt and I were still going strong. It got kind of difficult to keep it hidden from everyone, though. I thought I was in love with him before, but as each day went by that I saw him, that notion became more intensely rooted in my mind. Each day I got up, I got up because I knew I would see him or talk to him. It was definite motivation to get the hell out of bed, let me tell you. School passed in much the same fashion, except health class was all that mu

    Chapter 2

Chapter Two The next morning I got up and trudged my way to the bathroom. Looking in the mirror, I noticed my hair fading a bit from dark to light blue, so I made a mental note to re-dye it soon. After I shaved and showered, I picked adidas cologne and deodorant, and my usual khaki pants and navy polo. God, uniforms fucking blow. I couldn't get Wyatt off my mind. The way he acted, the way he looked-- WOW! I couldn't wait to see him again. He was just, amazing. Everything about him seemed t

    Chapter 1

Chapter One My name is Josh Corin, and this story revolves around me (you know, like the universe does?) and the guy I fell in love with my sophomore year of highschool. You'll figure it out as you read. I guess you’d like a description of me, right? Too bad! You’ll find out more as you read. I woke up and got dressed on first day of school. Uniforms suck; khaki pants and a navy polo (tucked in, of course) were standard. I grabbed my book bag, ID, and saxophone and headed out t

    Out of a Dream

A classic love story, with all the elements of teenage lust, hormones, angst, and heartbreak everyone experiences. Josh and Wyatt struggle to scratch out a safehaven of happiness under pressure to just be normal boys.

    Story

How are you feeling today?” the man asked, uncrossing his arms. He’d always had to make a conscious effort to keep them uncrossed when listening to patients. Crossing anything was the body language equivalent of ‘shut up’. “Terrified,” was all that the Boy said. Today, he looked it. “Have you thought about why you feel that way? You said the same thing last time, and –,” the man was cut off. “Everyone expects something from me. Everyone. All of my friends, and my entire family,” the Boy

    Rave Boy

Rave Boy is Joey's story, about his descent into drug addiction and habituation, as well as his relationship with Jonathan. Definitely not for the bright and shinies of the world, Joey's story is a trying tale of a boy stuck in southern Mississippi, battling depression, and attempting to make it through another day. Self-medication is the method of choice, and Joey finds himself fighting to be happy.

    Poetry

No Idea Do you know what love is? Have you seen the moon, hanging high, Sending rivulets of rays drifting dreamily Toward where lovers lay? Have you met the one, The one who makes complete The life that you must lead? Now have you lost the one, The one that made complete The life you will not lead? Have you cried yourself to sleep, Knowing life is not complete, And these rivulets of rays, That place where lovers lay, You'll never see again? Then you have no

Fin du Rêves You know how when you're little, everybody and their mother tell you you're special? They brag on you, and make you feel like you really are different from everybody else. You get that assumption stuck in your head that you're GOING to live happily ever after. Even if the world is about to blow up, you'll be the one who gets to ride the spaceship to Mars and survive it. You just HAVE to live happily ever after, right? I mean, you're the main char

    Chapter 5

Chapter Five There is magic in the jarring and abrasive surrounded by soft normality. Break it down. Words are beautiful, every word. Each has a feeling, an idea, a memory, a smell, a personality. Idea is pensive; feeling has furrowed eyebrows and a hand to its chest. Memory’s eyes are perpetually staring through to the distance. You get my point, right? Yes, there is beauty in words. The magic I’m talking about is the sense of extraordinary discovery, the tinted glow emanating from t

My head felt like someone had split it in two, and I rocked back and forth on my feet. “Whoa there, happypants, you okay?” He reached out and grabbed my hands to pull me back down on the bed. I always smell good, but today I used some kind of coconut lotion my mom had in her purse on the way to school. Girls always notice, boys never do. The stale, antiseptic odor of school assaulted my nose, slicing through coconut and cologne. As the bell rang and my breakfast table loitered, squeezing out the
