@K.BeN~ That guy is really cute. For me, this is awkward but I'm going to say Natalie Portman, or Evie from V For Vendetta. The awkwardness being that Natalia is female... Male... hmmm. I don't think it'd be anyone from a movie, definitely from a book. Possibly Phineas from "A Separate Peace" by John Knowles or Liir from "Son of a Witch" by Gregory Maguire. OHHH I know! It's Armand from Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles. He had my heart from when he fell in love with Louis in "Interview With a Vampire". That is strictly in the book character and not in the movie adaption; I haven't seen the movie adaption of IWaV ~Mikie

No joke I was just about to post this. Such a powerful, moving song that like many songs makes me think about my ex boyfriend. Here's a to the video ~Mikie ETA: @Trebs, I agree about "Somewhere" as well. Also "Walk On" from Carousel, especially Judy Garland's version.

Me too. I love my pillows.

Latter Days was brilliant.

Summerstock is positively delightful. With Gene Kelly and Judy Garland <3 I'm glad, Mark M, that I'm not the only one who thinks the Lion King is a classic.

NOOOOO. Don't do it!! Sorry. In my one semester at U-M, I've had it programmed that Helvetica is the worst font to use ever. [it's also the Default font on Macs]. We had to watch this movie Helvetica and although I can't remember most of it [give me a break, I was sick my entire first semester], it basically said that Helvetica is the worst font ever in existence. And most of my teachers pretty much agreed. TNR 12 or 14 is my favourite. =)

On a sort of non-Glee note, congrats to Jane Lynch who apparently married her girlfriend on Memorial Day. I can't wait to see what happens at Regionals, and Jesse is a douche. [see most recent episode]. Oh, and I'm mad that the latest Glee soundtrack didn't include the rendition of "This is a Man's World" that Quinn did, because I thought that it was brilliant. Even when Quinn sang during the series, she never sang that good. It was crazy. And I'd love to see Kurt's french Celine Dion solo that he allegedly did for the Cheerios that won them Nationals. That certainly had to be something... ~Mikie

Yes. Indeed. "I Dreamed a Dream" was pretty brilliant. Can't stop listening to the Glee version of it. Also loved "Poker Face". I'm hoping that this magically charts at number 1 next week on the charts. But I hope that with a glee song every week. The scene with Kurt's dad and Finn was pretty intense, in fact "Theatricality" lived up to it's name when it came to intensity. It was just an intense episode. Oh how I love Lady Gaga. I also love the fact that the club was able to deduce that Vocal Adrenaline was doing Lady Gaga by the mere fact that the fabric store was out of red lace and another store was out of Christmas lights. And despite Kurt's crush on Finn, Kurt was just trying to make his dad happy as he expressed in "Rose's Turn". Just saying. Just because Kurt wasn't completely in the right doesn't mean he was completely in the wrong. And I could go off on a tangeant now but I won't, haha. Can't wait to see New Directions square off against Vocal Adrenaline in two weeks, or to see which side Jesse will be on. ~Mikie

So Glee is kinda my new addiction. I just literally jammed out to the "Power of Madonna" EP they just released. It was good to see Kristin, but I was kinda hoping that her and Idina would duet sometime on the show. It would be so good. Mr. Greg, I'm a little amused that you referred to the "other asian" as such, like Sue Sylvestor did. [my friend and I have been joking about how he doesn't really have a name ever since that episode]. I'm just glad that we're no longer experiencing Finn & Rachel plus back-up as much. It gets old fast, and they all have great voices, so they should showcase it. "4 minutes" with Kurt and Mercedes was pretty brilliant, especially since Kurt didn't have to sing like a girl, even though I enjoy it when he does. Speaking of which, I would have loved for "Defying Gravity" to have been a show stopping number like "Somebody to Love", since Defying Gravity happens to be one of my all time favourite songs. I can't wait for the Lady Gaga songs later this season, either. I will probably comment as the season goes on =). ~Mikie

I love classic movies, and it doesn't get more classic than Singing In The Rain. Brilliance. I grew up watching The Sound of Music, and I absolutely adore it. Pretty much anything with Judy Garland in it, though there are many I haven't managed to see yet. So far though, Meet Me In St. Louis is my favourite. Breakfast at Tiffany's is pretty fantastic, especially Audrey Hepburn's performance. My Fair Lady is great too, but I just wish that they either let Audrey do her own singing or gotten someone else who was vocally capable. That to me just puts a damper on the magic of the movie. Sadly, I still haven't seen a lot of classics that I'd like to. I have many movies on my list. In Modern classics, I think that Titanic is such a pretty movie, along with Moulin Rouge. && My favourite modern classic (even though it might not be considered a modern classic to most) is The Lion King because I think that it's frankly the best animated feature ever made, and my second favourite movie of all time. ~Mikie

hasn't happened yet. Waiting for the right person. [Came close once. Two years ago. We'd been dating for a year and a half. I'm thankful it didn't happen now].

Me and my best friend aren't the only ones who use "happy-making"?! That's kind of amazing. that just made my day. But seriously, the movie is amazing. It is seriously one of the best films I've ever seen. I'm crossing my fingers that tonight this movie and it's "blues" will be taking home some gold. I will be seriously disappointed if Avatar does not win Golden Globe for Best Picture-Drama. I mean, I know that the Oscar nod for Best Picture is in the bag [especially with the field open to 10 best picture nods this year], but I'm hoping that a win at the Golden Globes will propel Avatar to a win at the Oscars. And it's not just because it'll be the second time ever I've actually seen a film win Best Picture before the awards. But I agree, FishWings, the notion of coming out of that movie with suicidal thoughts is ridiculous. Avatar is one of the most happy-making movies I've seen in a while. ~Mikie

I just have to say that my friends and I still jam out to "Believe" by Cher. Mattie, I totally feel you on Shania. There was also no Julie Andrews, glad to see Judy Garland up there though [again, though, no Liza]. I guess I expected the list to be a tad bit more theatrical. ~Mikie

Thanks y'all =). Sorry I didn't send this thank you until now... it's been an eventful couple of days. But nonetheless, I appreciate the happy birthdays a lot. It definitely brightens my spirits =) ~Mikie

well I didn't wear hats until this past summer. Where I decided to get like four, which I wore a lot during the summer. [2 fedoras, 2 military style]. I haven't worn them as of late because it's apparently disrespectful to wear hats to classes, and I haven't had any other reason to, other than to look cute [obviously not in class]. But I love my hats now. [and if you don't think you can pull off a hat, think again because there are tons of different styles and I'm sure one is bound to be the right one. You just have to have faith and keep looking for it]. ~Mikie

Might be an overstatement... but the greatest show on television right now. Yeah. It is an overstatement. But that show has me sooooo freaking enthusiastic. It really makes me want to sing... which isn't a good idea right now [cuz I have a throat infection], but I do love to sing. Way too much. and Glee only further makes me want to sing. Ahh I love it. Kristin Chenoweth was absolutely amazing on the latest episode. Her voice kills in the best way possible. Especially when her and Lea Michele [Rachel] sang "Maybe Someday" sort of together. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about the show. I'm hooked. <3 Mikie

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb8yul5vQhc...vid-twilig.html Really?! I'm very excited about this... But I'm very disappointed in the haircut...

I think that this needs to happen, and soon. Like as soon as they finish Harry Potter 7 part 2... or even before that... It'd be brilliant...
-
Best wishes! Hope you get better very soon! Spinal problems like that just sound scary. You're very brave to have the attitude you do. Keep up the high spirits, dude!

I agree. Your blue rose is very pretty, Krista. My new avatar is something I just created for HIV/AIDS awareness. Three of my friends and I are, for our senior project, having an HIV/AIDS awareness fundraiser selling awareness ribbons and t-shirts. It's something all four of us are passionate about, and it will hopefully turn out well. I made the logo as something to possibly put on a tee shirt or fliers or something. Yeah, tell me what you think. Attached is a bigger pic for a closer look ~Mikie

I have every intention of attempting such a feat, but who knows if I'll actually get it done... I tried last year and got to 8,000, but I started on November 23rd, in my own defense. Good luck Corvus, and anyone else who is gonna try!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-T7dcdFSMw Yeah. Just yeah. Travis Wall is amazing haha. That song does have to be one of the top...

I'll say it, haha. My favourite gay "thing" [he's not a thing, so person] is my boyfriend. My favourite non-significant other gay person is my best friend. Gay movie: Matthew Shepard Story [makes me cry everytime, not gonna lie] Gay singer: Melissa Ethridge Gay TV show: the L Word [my friends are a bunch of lesbians, what can I say?] Gay novel: umm I think it would be Empress of the World by Sara Ryan... or Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire. Yeah that pretty much sums it up.

thanks to everyone for your positive comments about my picture. I appreciate it muchly. And Bry, nice picture [that's not fair, I didn't look that good two years ago]. Haha. My vote goes to grey/green, and they're very perdy. The only thing that puts me off about them is that they remind me of my now ex-boyfriend, who had blue/grey eyes... But your eyes are still very very pretty. PlugInMatty, very nice picture. Your glasses are like the exact same frames as mine, except mine are gold-coloured. [i got glasses after that pic I posted was taken].
