Bridge To Terabithia is an amazing book. I love it yes I do. Another worth reading book by Paterson is Jacob, Have I Loved.

I love Silver Ravenwolf's writing. I'm currently reading Interview With a Vampire by Anne Rice, and very much enjoying it. So far it's a very good read. Anything by Gregory Maguire is worth reading. Wicked and Son of a Witch are his best in my opinion. Also, the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer is definitely worth reading, though the series is considered "Young Adult"

Thanks! It's only my junior year in high school, and I can't predict the future, but I hope that we'll still be together in eleven years. And Congrats to Tiger for getting 1,000 posts, and to all the authors (including Tiger) who are now promising authors! Good job y'all ~Mikie

CONGRATS I just wanted to congratulate you on your GA Members' Choice Award for Justin for Best Protagonist/Hero! May many more awards come your way for your amazing writing. ~Mikie

I agree with Graeme. Readers might identify with different characters more than others, which is why they think the way they do. An example I'll give is that in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, I know someone who thought that Bella should break up with Edward and go with Jacob. I on the other hand felt that Bella and Jacob were meant for each other. I always seem to be the hopeless romantic that likes the first relationship the best (in most cases). Yeah. I believe it's just who people identify with the most. I understand that in A New Kid In School, and A Class by Himself, that the couples are just hopelessly in love and meant to be together (I hope). To all the haters who think that Derrick should be with Chris, remember that Tanner is the one who Derrick thinks is in "A Class by Himself" So yeah, those are my thoughts. ~Mikie

So you totally read my mind, right? I thought the exact same thing when I heard that song. The dawn is breaking A light shining through You're barely waking And I'm tangled up in you Yeah I'm open, you're closed Where I follow, you'll go I worry I won't see your face Light up again Even the best fall down sometimes Even the wrong words seem to rhyme Out of the doubt that fills my mind I somehow find You and I collide I'm quiet you know You make a frist impression I've found I'm scared to know I'm always on your mind Even the best fall down sometimes Even the stars refuse to shine Out of the back you fall in time I somehow find You and I collide Even the best fall down sometimes Even the wrong words seem to ryhme Out of the doubt that fills your mind You finally find You and I collide You finally find You and I collide You finally find You and I collide "Collide" by Howie Day

Many times you don't have to draw from your own personal experiences but maybe that of a close friend or family member. Or maybe just hearing a story can spark your creativity bulb. Yes, personal experiences definitely make a story a lot more powerful, but sometimes you have to draw from somewhere else, and you probably do. I mean, unless you really truly are a vampire mimic in Chicago, you had to get that idea from somewhere else, not personal experience. Of course you could have just randomly made it up in your head, but that still isn't personal experience. So it is possible to be original and not repetitive. Also, life is the longest thing anyone will ever have to go through, literally. There are a lot of different experiences that you go through during the process of life. I'm not even sure if it's possible to run out on experiences, because you always are constantly getting new ones. No one day is exactly the same, so there is something new every day, even if it isn't a major huge change. You just have to start looking for a new angle of these experiences. Maybe you can even reuse certain experiences, and just portray them differently. In order to stop repetitiveness, you have to portray it in a completely different light. I dunno, just some thoughts. ~Mikie

Haha you and I both have that issue. I always have to think about it and never know if I'm right or not. But those sentences both look grammatically correct.

So I've officially came to the conclusion that Moulin Rouge! is simply one of the best movies ever. Not only is Nicole Kidman amazing, but she sings, and she's amazing. So is Ewan McGregor. Yeah. It has drama, music, comedy, and a tango scene to the song "Roxanne". Yeah. It uses a lot of popular songs in it, and even has its own original song, which was robbed of the best song Oscar due to technicalities. It's pretty amazing and uses so many different popular songs it's not even funny. Anyone who hasn't seen it totally should. It's a very good movie. I REALLY want to go see Juno and Atonement, but I haven't had time to go to the movies, and Atonement is playing nowhere around where I live. I guess I'll have to wait for the DVD. Another excellent movie was Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, which I feel was completely robbed of a best director and a best picture nod. And if Johnny Depp doesn't win best actor, then there is no justice in this world. It was simply an amazing musical in my opinion. I mean sure it wasn't the Broadway stage version, but Johnny and Helena hold their own when it comes to the singing. Johnny also fulfills his duty as an actor by making the audience feel sympathetic for Sweeney, which was probably extremely hard. Yeah. Tim Burton did it again. ~Mikie

I honestly don't think that gender matters. It's only the story that matters. I've read a lot of amazing stories involving a lot of different pairings. There have been "boy meets boy" stories that I didn't care for, but I have also read an AMAZING "girl meets boy" series of stories. It really doesn't matter to me, both have similar impact. I guess it's because even if I can't relate to it, I am extremely close to someone who can, and through them I can relate to the story. ~Mikie

Buying the day of seems like a good option for NYC, but don't do it for touring shows, or at least not the really popular ones. Tickets for Wicked in Detroit sold out within the first hours they went on sale. I'm very glad I knew about tickets going on sale. I really wanted to see the Lion King when it was here a couple months ago, but I didn't get to. Hopefully something else that's good will be coming soon, since I love my musicals, yes I do. ~Mikie

I have seen Wicked, Mama Mia!, and Hairspray and I will say all three are amazing productions. Wicked was my personal favourite, but both of the others were still spectacular. I actually saw Hairspray on Broadway whereas I saw Wicked when it traveled and saw Mama Mia! in Las Vegas. I would recommend any of these musicals. Wicked is a drama in a comedic sort of way. It has its funny parts and dramatic parts. Mama Mia is very happy-go-lucky and just a lot of fun with all the ABBA music. Hairspray is also a mix. The Broadway version I will say is much more spectacular than the new movie adaption, of course. ~Mikie

I picked Irish, but I love every single European accent except probably German. I don't know why but I just don't find German as sexy as Irish or French or Spanish. But my Irish favouritism is biased because after spending two weeks in the summer on the island, one tends to fall in love with it. Ironically, it wasn't the same when I went to Spain.

So looking forward to seeing The Golden Compass hopefully today. Enchanted- Seriously, I felt it was the best movie Disney has made in quite a while. I really appreciated the fact that animated parts were not computer 3D animated but classic animation. It was seriously an excellent movie, and much better than my mom and I expected. August Rush- Again, extremely good. Many critics thought that the movie was too sugary sweet, but would they rather have some violence in it or something? I don't know, but I really enjoyed it. Definitely had me crying by the end of it. Evita- If you need the definition of a dramatic musical, Evita is just that. Everything about the movie is handled in such a dramatic way that just increases the overall affect of the movie. It's a really good movie, and both Madonna and Antonio Banderas are amazing in it. The Producers- AMAZING. It's one of the funniest movies ever. The Lion King- Simply, the best Disney movie ever in existance IMO. A Walk To Remember- *sigh* Just simply amazing story. That's all I have off the top of my head, might add some more soon.

What you just said was an oxymoron... Families have the right to a peaceful funeral... BUT people can protest at the funeral Which is it? Can the family have a peaceful funeral or can people protest at the funeral? Because having a protest at the funeral seems anything but peaceful...

Tomorrow I'll be celebrating 7 months with my boyfriend

GAHHH... I wish I had seen the musical, but sadly I haven't. My best friend and I are RENT freaks. I wouldn't be surprised if we could both quote the movie word for word. LOVE the music.

I just had to stop and say that I'm thankful that neither of my parents are government employees for the state of Michigan. As of not too long ago the government of Michigan officially shut down, and over 35,000 people employed by the government have been told not to show up to work tomorrow.

Lyrics to Academy Award winning song "You Must Love Me" by Madonna... It's from the movie/ "rock opera"/musical Evita where do we go from here? this isn't where we intended to be we had it all, you beleived in me; i believed in you. certainties disappear what do we do for our dream to survive? how do we keep all our passions alive as we used to do? deep in my heart, i'm concealing things that i'm longing to say scared to confess what i'm feeling... frightened you'll slip away you must love me you must love me why are you at my side? how can i be any use to you now? give me a chance, and i'll let you see how nothing has changed!! deep in my heart, i'm concealing things that i'm longing to say scared to confess what i'm feeling... frightened you'll slip away you must love me you must love me you must love...me

My two absolute favourite novels are Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West and it's sequel Son of a Witch both authored by Gregory MaGuire. Some other favourites of mine include: Angels & Demons by Dan Brown, which of course leads up to The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. But I actually liked Angels & Demons more. I'm currently reading the His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman. (The first book is going to be a motion picture in theatres around December, The Golden Compass I also love the Inheritance Trilogy by Christopher Paolini. I cannot wait until the third book comes out next year. I must say that I liked Eldest more than Eragon. The one other thing I cannot wait for is the sequel to Son of a Witch. I pretty much enjoy anything by Gregory MaGuire. He's my favourite author. Last but not least, the Harry Potter books are among my favourites
