    Chapter 48 S2

Yes, they use pop-top cans for many beverages, but not for wine. I'm not sure if they're afraid if the wine might become affected by a metallic taste or not, but they'll stick to bottles and cardboard boxes with a plastic bag inside for now.

Hmmm, that would be interesting. If they were to do that, however, I hope they would choose to transition into a smaller dinosaur, like maybe a velociraptor - but a kinder, gentler one.

  15. Chapter 48 – May Madness Shortly after the alarm went off at 6:30, the phone in our room rang. “Good morning, Mom, and we were already up,” I said upon answering the phone. “I just wanted to check and make sure you were awake.” “I know, but I already had that handled. “Ok, then we’ll meet you out in the hallway just as soon as you’re both dressed.” “Ok, we’ll see you in a few minutes then.” We quickly used the toilet and sloshed some mouthwash around

  24. The first records of ruminate come from the mid 16th century (1500s). It derives from the Latin verb rūmināre, meaning “to chew the cud.” Rūmināre comes from the Latin rūmen, which gives us the English rumen—the first of four compartments in the stomach of ruminant animals. People ruminate for a variety of reasons, including : the belief that by ruminating, you'll gain insight into your life or a problem. having a history of emotional or physical trauma. facing ongoing stressors that you can't control. Key facts about rumination: Four-chambered stomach: A ruminant's stomach has four distinct compartments: the rumen, reticulum, omasum, and abomasum, each playing a role in breaking down food. Cud chewing: When a ruminant eats, it swallows food quickly without fully chewing it, then later regurgitates it as a "cud" to chew more thoroughly. Microbe fermentation: The rumen, the largest stomach chamber, is filled with microbes that ferment plant material, producing volatile fatty acids which serve as the animal's primary energy source. Efficient plant digestion: Rumination allows animals to digest tough plant fibers that most other herbivores cannot easily break down. Examples of ruminants: Besides cows, sheep, and goats, other ruminants include moose, camels, elk, bison, and antelope.
