Be careful, because spirits get vengeful when they're ordered around. 😜

Yes, there was a lot going on in this chapter, much of it centered around the storm and the aftermath. They handled it well and coped with what happened, and before long things will be back to normal. Frankie also made a big decision since he couldn't get a job in law enforcement. His military training would give him the needed experience, and being a vet would give him an advantage in the hiring practice when he got out. Hopefully it will work out the way he wants. Thanks for the feedback, Butcher.

Jim, thank you for the feedback and let me try to answer your questions. 1. Jake has always preferred to stay in the background. He doesn't feel as comfortable as Josh does when dealing with the boys, except for Shannon and now Nick, so he merely offers when it's something he feels more comfortable with, such as lending a hand with mechanical/carpentry/or other hands on types of problems. 2. No, I hadn't considered in Vinnie and Kevin might want to have children, but I'll give it some thought. 3. Yes, you'll probably be seeing the married hetero couples starting to have children as well. Thank you for bringing this questions up.

Yes, Trey is definitely a doting father and I'm glad you appreciate the little details that I include in these chapters. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks, flesco, and things seem to be going fairly well on all fronts, except for Wyatt's little bout with tonsillitis. Yes, I'm sure Julie is pleased and feeling that she made the right decision by asking Danny and Brandon to take her children, and Julie and the twins seemed to be very happy in their new home. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks, flesco, and there's a lot going on. The haunted house, and the disagreements there, and the combined birthday party for Wyatt and the twins seemed to go over very well. I'm glad you enjoyed reading about it and enjoyed the ideas the adults came up with to make it work.

Both of my sons had their tonsils out, one when he was eight and the other when he was fifteen. It's much better to have it done when you're younger, so Wyatt will do fine. Sorry to hear about your brother.

Yes, there's a lot going on and everyone is jumping in to do their share. Unfortunately, Wyatt is suffering one of those childhood maladies that so many children often face, but he'll do well in time, and the others have a lot going on as well. I'm glad you enjoyed this.

When Brandon and I arrived home on Monday, Dad came over to tell me something. “You received another package and I put it in your bedroom.” “Thank you. Do you know where Ryan is?” “I believe he’s up in his room doing his homework.” “Great. After I check in with the other boys I’ll go up and see if he’s ready to take a break. If he is, I’ll open the box so we can see what’s inside at the same time.” When I went to say hello to the other boys, I also asked if they had any homew

Yes, this was a convoluted case with many twists and turns, but justice prevailed. It's difficult to say why Hubbard is still so fixated on the Currie family, but he is and still trying to get them in trouble even though they aren't involved. Fortunately, Josh had let Mark borrow the car during that time to attend his conference, otherwise the boys might have been convicted and all of their lives would have turned out differently. You're probably right in suspecting that Hubbard isn't done with the family, but how long will he continue his vendetta against them and what will it take to get him to stop? If being paralyzed and in a wheel chair doesn't do it, what will? Possibly someone's death will be the only way to end the antagonism.

Thanks, flesco, I'm glad you're still enjoying this story.

That was very generous of you to give up your free time that way. My uncle was retired at the time and he would go to the nursing home every day during the lunch hour to have lunch with his wife. He'd either take something with him or pick it up along the way and then they would eat together. I had to give him a lot of credit for never missing a day until she died, because it was difficult for him to see how she was deteriorating.

It's not exactly a penchant. Cody was based on a real character and I decided to portray his life without changing the details. Albert was getting old and had health problems, and unfortunately it led to his death as well. Brent was a different issue and I decided to use his death to illustrate a problem I had seen in the news around that time of young people not in seat belts dying in accidents. I'm not a bloodthristy guy looking to create problems and kill off all of my characters, however I do appreciate your feedback.

Chapter 40 - Our Worst Nightmare
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 40 - Our Worst Nightmare
Yes, this was a very tough and emotional couple of chapters. You're right, the death of a child is the toughest thing a child could go through, and their worst fear, but he happens more than we'd like to think. It was also good the Graham was able to be there, and it was a tough time on him, and the doctor was very good and patient with them. I apologize if the Cody story line was tough on you, but it was based on a real Cody and I didn't want to vary it too much. Thanks for the feedback. -
Yes, Graham's gift put him in a real dilemma, know what he sees in the shadows and how he feels about Cody. It's a difficult situation.
-
Thank you, and both planning the haunted house and the birthday party taxed my creativity.
-
Yes, that is always difficult, but especially so for Richard, since he just came into this family. I had an aunt with Alzheimers and it was difficult to watch her decline, especially when she didn't recognize family members.
-
It's a difficult time for them, especially when your beliefs clash with what's happening in your own family.

Chapter 28 - Mixed Messages
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 28 - Mixed Messages
Yes, Cody was fortunate to have ended up in this family and he knows and appreciates this fact. Andrew is also using his talents to capture Cody at this time, something that won't be lost no matter what happens in the future,. Thanks for the feedback, Butcher. -
Thanks, Jim. I'm glad you're enjoying this story.

Thank you, Stix, and it's nice to hear from you again. By the way, I will be announcing my decision about whether I'll continue with a book 4 before Book 3 ends.

Thank you. Writing these stories forces me to think out of the box.

Chapter 25 - Cheers And Fears
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 25 - Cheers And Fears
Yes, Trey had made quite an impression with his script, as well as the work he put into it, and now we have to wait and see how he makes out at the next level. -
Yes, things seem to be going well. The Wyatt, Hayden, and Hunter's 'Harry Potter' birthday party went off without a hitch, Ryan has some new ideas for the haunted house and talked some of his friends into helping out, and Julie and her roommate are getting along well. Not only that, but Julie has been very helpful with making plans for the adoptions go smoothly, so everything is moving forward nicely. Thanks for the feedback, Butcher, and we keep moving forward.

Monday night after dinner, I met with Benny, Joshie, and Ryan in the rec room. “As you know, we’re here to discuss our plans for this year’s Haunted House. Ryan and I have talked about a few things already, so I’m going to let him explain his ideas.” Ryan covered the things we’d discussed and showed them the mask and the animated device we’d purchased, as well as the photos of the other items that would be arriving soon. Benny and Joshie were impressed with what we’d done so far, and then I
