  1. Thanks, pvtguy, and I'm glad you appreciate that at times I try to educate, not just entertain. That's what the vacations and some of the history lessons were about and I'm glad it's paying off.
  2. Awww, how sweet.
  3. We drove the SUV in the morning, since we were getting a large pet carrier and we would need the extra room. When I got to the office, I told my nurse that we were willing to take two pups for the boys, and then I showed her the photos of the two we wanted. I also told her that we’d like to pick them up after work on Saturday. “I wondered if you might be interested in taking one of them, but I never guessed you’d want two,” she responded. “I’ll call my friend on my lunch hour and make sure
  4. Don't forget about places like Intercourse, Pennsylvania; Climax, Georgia; and French Lick, Indiana.
  5. You forgot about Gowanda, Skaneateles, and New Berlin (which the locals pronounced New Burr-lin).
  6. That was a sad end for both brothers, but thanks for the feedback.
  7. Yes, flesco, there should be interesting times ahead. We'll see what happens with the puppies, and how Ryan makes out on his trip, as well as how things will work out with Holly. Thanks for the feedback.
  8. I'm glad you caught and understood the Shady Pines reference. I wasn't sure how many would connect it with the Golden Girls. As far as Jake's concern, I'll consider that and see what I can do about that. Thanks for the feedback.
  9. Thanks, Tor.
  10. Yes, puppies seem to bring the smiles to everyone's faces.
  11. Brandon, I've never quite figured out what dogs have against the mailman. What kind of dog was it that she would knock you over? Must have been a large dog and you must have been very hungry. lol
  12. Yes, Stix, a couple more adoptions. As far as the puppies' names, I think the boys will take care of that. Thanks for the feedback.
  13. Davey, I was wondering how many Golden Girls fans would catch the Shady Pines reference. As far as the beagles, they're very cute and what was available, so we'll see how it works out. Thanks for the feedback.
  14. Yes, the boys will be getting pets.
  15. When we arrived at work on Monday morning, my staff wanted to know if Brandon and I had enjoyed our weekend away. “Yes, it was wonderful,” I answered, and then I told them everything we’d done – well except for making love. After I finished filling them in, my nurse asked a non-related question. “I’ve got a good friend whose dog had a litter of puppies a few weeks ago, and now they’re old enough to leave their mother. Do you know anyone who might want a puppy?” “What dog breed are we t
  16. Thanks, flesco, and that was quite a tribute. The memories of Danny and Brandon's long journey together, because they became fast friends shortly after Josh took Danny in, has been remarkable. The two of them have grown from curious teens, to professionals and fathers, and hopefully they're providing their sons with the same great example that Josh provided for them. Thanks again for the excellent feedback, but no promises about continuing this story. Each book becomes more and more difficult to write, because I have to come up with an entirely new set out subplots.
  17. Thanks, tor, and I was able to hear your shout out even before I logged onto the site. LOL Thanks for the feedback.
  18. Thanks, Stix, and the story is filled with memories. Brandon and Danny's first sexual encounter was back in the very first book in this series, so you have to have a good memory to recall what happened, but they've been a couple ever since. It is a relationship that has grown and blossomed throughout the years, and now they are the ones carrying on the tradition Josh established. Thanks for the great feedback, Stix.
  19. Thank you for your suggestions, and they will definitely be setting out on a weekend trip for the wedding/birthday celebration. That will be quite a shindig, so I hope you enjoy it.
  20. Thanks for the feedback, James. When Josh was in charge it was easier for him to take the family on vacation, since he worked for the school district. It's more difficult for Danny and Brandon to get away, but maybe we can work something out, somewhere down the line.
  21. Thanks, Xander, and there's still a ways to go.
  22. Thanks, Wesley.
  23. When we tucked the boys in on Thursday night, we said goodbye to them, not just goodnight. We did this because they’d still be asleep when we left for work in the morning and we wouldn’t be returning home before we left on our trip. We also made sure to tell each of them, and we emphasized it for the twins, that they would have to wear their swimsuits if they used the pool over the weekend. We didn’t want to take the chance of them forgetting, and they all assured us that they wouldn’t swim nake
