Thanks, I'm glad it put you in the Halloween spirit - or spirits.
  2. Really, Sheriff, I locked myself out of the house and was just using this to get inside.

    City of the Dead

Thanks for the feedback, Wayne. It wouldn't have been much of a Halloween Spook-tale if he just prayed, and this is a real thing in New Orleans for those who believe. Take care, my friend.
  5. I was a little surprised when I heard Jamie’s voice on the other end of the phone, because we’d unfortunately lost contact shortly after we left home to attend different colleges. I’d first met Jamie O’Conner in fifth grade and we remained best friends until we graduated from high school. However, once we got to college our busy schedules, heavy workloads, and the geographic distance between our campuses caused us to lose touch. Even though I’d always known that Jamie was into girls, since
  6. Jamie’s dad died unexpectedly and he never got to say goodbye. This bothered him because the last time he’d been with his dad they had a disagreement that never got resolved. Jamie learns that there’s a place in New Orleans where he might be able to rectify the situation and make contact with his dad’s spirit, but he doesn’t want to go alone. He asks his friend Drew to join him, and Drew agrees, and together they embark on an adventure that doesn’t go exactly as planned.

    Chapter 1

Thanks, Wayne. Bullying is a thing of the past and the present, we can only hope that it will not be part of the future.

  15. Thanks for the compliment, but read on McDuff. I think he was a bit overwhelmed, but you'll see what happens when he get to his home and confronts his parents. I hope you continue to enjoy this story.

    A Close-knit Family

I appreciate your positive feedback, but as of the moment I don't have any plans for writing another installment. This has gone on much longer than I anticipated, and it could potentially go on forever, but I don't know if I have the will or stamina to write another Castaway book. Thanks for asking, though.

    Chapter 2

Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed this.
  19. Yes, I agree. It's too bad that bullies have so much power and effect on others. Thanks for the comment.
  20. That has been changing, now that gay marriage is legal in the USA.

  25. Halloween has never been a very big deal for me, because my mom wouldn't let me celebrate it when I was younger. She was a devoutly religious person and claimed that Halloween was a form of devil worship, so she never allowed me to do the same things as the other kids. She even sent the following note to my school when I was in Kindergarten. "To the principal, teachers, and staff at Eastwood Elementary. Please be advised that I do not want you to include Christopher Cordes in Halloween
