    Thanks for the feedback, Terry, and I'm glad you're enjoying this story. I'm a history buff, so I drew some of this from ancient battle tactics, so I must admit that this is borrowed in part from others. Things are about to get interesting, with three groups to track: Beraut and the main army, Commander Elgin and Kieren's group. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story.

As far as any similarities with Global, I'm not familiar with that work, so any similarities are purely a coincidence. As far as the prologue, so were correct in interpreting that I did this to show the utter evil portrayed by the protagonist.

    Thanks for the feedback, Gary. This battle can't be won unless we know what we're up against. We made have made great gains, but now we must fight to keep our hard-fought victories and not slip backward again.
