  1. The admiration theory is interesting. I find that I admire many of the qualities of the men I am atracted to but they are never the ones that define them as feminine. I generaly like the more "pretty" boys but I don't aspire to be like them in that way. There is one thing I would like to point out. Being feminine does not nescesarily make a person anoying and vice versa.
  2. It could be worse. At least its not blood and guts.
  3. Great chapter! At this point I am most interested in what Felicia's goals/interests are. I don't know if she will wind up dating the general but I can imagine them becoming friends.
  4. Great chapter! Things are getting exciting. I can't wait for the next one...14 more hours!
  5. Someone should push him of the overpass. If trafic is as bad in Dallas as it is here, the spectacle would make for a well deserved break form the monotony of bumper to bumper trafic.
  6. You are making me hungry. I love anything with hot sauce!
  7. The reports keep coming in and they are truly frightening. I am also in an area prone to fires and I can understand how terrible it is for those who were unharmed. The agony of those who lost homes and loved ones is unimaginable. I will keep the victims in my prayers.
  8. I think the proximity to dead bodies would make the lemons unapatizing to most people, but it is common knowledge that goats will eat just about anything. (Just kidding CJ.)
  9. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade or jin and tonic (That has lemon juice, right?), or just make friends with a wonderfully creative goat. I have to agree that there is something suspicious about Felicia. I think she may already be working for two employers. Who the other one is I am not sure. I think Eric is going to ask out a stripper. I meen an exotic dancer.
  10. This story is getting better with every chapter! Even Eric behaved himself. Nice goat ; Bad strippers!
  11. Cliffhanger? Of course not. They are already below the cliff. There's nothing to hang on to. I think the whole wedding party is going to get an impromptu bath and then run for saftey (or towels.) The general seems to be staging some kind of plane accident probably to divert attention from his target.
  12. '98 Nissan Frontier. It's red and covered with stickers. Everything is simple/manual. There is no power anything, nothing talks at me, and nothing trys to drive for me. (I like it that way.) I'm very happy with it because it handels better than I ever imagined a pickup could. It also gets almost 24 mpg which is better than some new cars. If I were to buy a second car just for fun it would be a dark blue Nissan Z with 6 speed manual transmision. That's my dream car at the moment.
  13. I really liked this chapter. I like your ideas about cake decorating. There is one little typo though: "Jansen handed them each a shot of whiskey, and then Eric said,
  14. Happy New Years!!! I still have an hour and a half to go but what the heck.
  15. I didn't know they made a "for dummies" book for that. That's great I'll have to look around the bookstore. Those books are great.
  16. I like the resolution you made. I think I will make mine to loose my job while getting very very fat.
  17. I know this is not exactly the kind of writing we usualy talk about here but there are many computer /technology savy people here. I was wondering if any of you use a programing language called Labview. I just started using it at work and would like to find some useful resources. If anyone knows of helpfull wesites etc please let me know. Thanks.
  18. Congratulations on the novel! Its always nice to see one of us sucsede.
  19. Great chapter! No cliffs this time...just volcanoes. The lemons are a mystery. My guess is that someone will be driving a truckload of lemons and trying to look inocent. I can't help you on the chemistry. My background is physics. The reaction you describe sounds alot like what happens when someone leaves bleach in the toilet. Urea is chemicaly similar to amonia so does that mean that a toilet can go kaboom while someone is using it?
  20. I'm glad its not too serious. I have heard some unpleasant stories about Chrohn's disease but it looks like your case is not as bad. I'll keep you in my prayers and hope for the best.
  21. Heartwarming huh? I watched the video and noticed that the you wiped out the ancient Greeks too. That's what they get for eating goat cheese. I guess that "warms" everything...and I thought you didn't like your goat nuts roasted over an open fire. By the way, acording to recent thoeries it was an asteroid impact which created our moon. It is the easiest way to explain why the Earth and the moon have such different compositions.
  22. Happy New Year! I love the video! There's nothing like killing the dinasours over and over.
  23. It sounds like everyone has some kind of fun plan! Good luck to all of you who are trying something ambitious like putting on a concert or making a difficult resolution. I'm still not sure what I will do besides eating Christmas leftovers. Thanks for reminding we about the fireworks shows. The vegitation is much to dry in my area to have a show of our own but I will look for some on the TV. I know the one in Syney is spectacular. I hear they are going to have a good one in Las Vegas too. Maybe I should make a resolution this time.
  24. First of all, the chapter was clearly written so I could picture the action. The general's tactic seem to involve misdirection and the element of surprise. I know little about combat strategies so I can't comment on how acurate the depiction was. What struck me as interesting was the way the general seems to think like a magician. The paterns that I see evolving are as follows. The general makes things/people apear to be where they are not. He cleverly changes things that are assumed to be constant. For example, he removes the flag pole. He makes it apear that there are more people in a place than there realy are. If he manages to get to the location I imagine that his strategy will involve creating a diversion, hiding in an unlikely spot, and emerging when least expected. Beyond that I can't say much.
  25. I just spent a quiet Christmas with my parents. We have a few traditions for Christmas but nothing for New Years. We used to watch the "Twilight Zone" marathon but its the same episodes every year and we know them by heart. Though we live close enough no one in my family wants to drag themselves out to the Rose parade. I wish we had some fun things to do that don't involve dodging drunks on the freeways or early morning wake up calls. Does anyone do anything fun on New Year's Eve or Day?
