..............A big thank-you is indeed in order here, I haven't read them all yet but will given a little time. I very much appreciate all who have given time to the anthology.
.............Hahaha!! Chapter 9 was definitely a cliffhanger, chapter 10 was very very tense!! It is kinda funny the way they are both reacting, Jake finally accepting himself and Ry going thru the reverse order to achieve acceptance of his friend. Jake; I can't be gay, I don't want to be gay, G_d please fix me, OMG I'm gay!! Ry; he can't be gay, I don't want him to be gay, G_d help him not be gay, OMG, my best friend is gay!!
.............Perfect title of the chapter 'Errors of Ommision', starting with the 'boy's' parents, seems JT was amiss in showing Jane the invitation. Seems she will return the favor but not telling him where she is going! Our Exotic dancers are omitting the fact they aren't a couple, but Eric has already booked them a two bedroom suite, is Eric's 'instinct' on top of that one already? Why else would he suggest the kiss? Helen, perhaps being awakened at 4am naturally wants to omit to Eric his mother's surprise attendance. Finally Scar and Yuri are also hiding their agenda plans from the General but want to use him, hummm! for what means?
I declare this chapter to be absolutely full of cliffs ( I can't recall how many times the word was spoken here) But the chapter is devoid of any cliffhangers!!
.........Thanks Kanaye, a great story! I didn't have a problem with Dillon still being in the closet, but why he never approached Gabe before is a mystery to me. I wonder if Theresa had an inkling!!
.......Interesting story!! Poor Corey having a father that controlling, adding that he also his coach and teacher is beyond annoying!! (Reminds me of my Marine Corp Drill instructor Step-Father) But stepping into his son's sex life is way out of line, what is he going to do when finds out Corey is also gay?
Good point! I didn't take into account of Rick's social development prior to his new environment. It was his (to be blunt) goody-two-shoes attitude (apologizing for the flowers and making Drew do likewise) his seemly trying to please. He was attuned to that, which lead me to believe he was just role acting on the boy friend angle. But your position that he was naive due to his age and lack of social situations makes a good counter point.
...........Quite true, a very intense ending, hummmm!! borders on cliffhanging. But I'm not the judge, perhaps CJ can make valid points since he is near expert in the subject!!
................Unsure is what I feel here, it would appear that two friends went beyond their boundaries in friendship and one or the other perceived a different relationship evolving from such. Lust overcame those boundaries, and it was in that the destruction began. The friendship now evolved into an unwanted relationship by one. Probably by both but instigated by one, resulting in a hurt by one that can never repair the relationship as friends as once was. The line crossed, will only make matters worse, a lesson sorely taught.
..............Well Graeme, another enlightening chapter! It is obvious that Rick is not gay, but still harbors confusion when around Drew. Rick seems like a good person that always wants to do the right thing so it is confusing that Rick would make Drew 'do the right thing', when in fact Rick is being dubious with his own truth. Since Rick doesn't believe himself to be in a real relationship with Drew, he is amiss in the Drew's reaction to Sharon coming along. Prompting Drew's fatal utterance within earshot of Rick's clumsy Mom.
...........Another great chapter Graeme, I was surprised Rick wasn't more banged up then he was. I guess it was lucky Phil was pulled off by his mates, I wonder if he will face attempted murder or just a simple assault. No doubt it was premeditated and kicking the victim in the head while he was down would probably be seen as attempted murder here in the states. We will see how it plays out 'down under' I guess.
