    Multiple POV! Exciting!!

    One

Poverty, angst and blue hair? I’m in.
  3. I fully and firmly believe they will be okay. How could a love so deep, so long-lasting, not win? I’ve been on holiday while I’ve been binging this AMAZING love story. I’m relieved to be current so I can ease my obsession with Alec, Finn and all of the fantastic characters you’ve created, @Demiurge. I could easily gush on about the many important topics treated so very well from page one but I’ll save the gushing for an epic review when this wild ride is “complete”.
  4. Much better storyline order: bummer first then boner!
  5. “You look like an annoyed blueberry.” <snort>
  6. Appreciate the heartwarming moment at the end after all that heartache. Beautifully written.
  7. This!!! That was such a glancing blow but it definitely deserves some attention in the comments! Nice touch ❤️
  8. Welp. That was brutal AF. Absolute whiplash. Total boner to total bummer. Bruh. So good. I’m with @weinerdog. Kill momma. Now!

    Chapter 18: Run

    Also #teamFilec yes yes yes!
  10. I’ve been binging too hard to leave comments with the love. This chapter though? Hail River! Some housekeeping comments: Thank you for the time hop. Brilliant. Thank you for creating a world in which Alec has diagnoses and care. Hopeful. This is another level. Feels like you really hit your stride right here. Outstanding.

    Chapter 4: Drive

Mercy. Alec has teen angst to spare, no doubt. Finn has something of his own going on beyond the obvious? River has it together better than both of them, maybe? Such exquisite tension!

    Two: Puppy

The detail in all of this is delightful! I’ll never get the puppy imagery out of my head. Or the color of the lockers. Ah, the homeschooled kids. That particular social deprivation is an interesting phenomenon. Of course they are a bit different…
  13. Seventy-two days ago I stumbled upon a story, long complete, that promised three things: trust building, everlasting memories and dispatching a dangerous mage. I dove in not realizing, immediately, that I had found Book One of Three. I stayed in because my position on shifters shifted. What a lovable, even enviable, world they live in! The real magic here isn’t found in any of the many mages to be met. It is the everlasting memories this journey offers. The trust too. Trust Aaron Stone to engross you, enrage you and entertain you. I challenge you to turn to Book One, Page One and beat my seventy-two day binge. You’ll be so glad you did.
  14. Felt the Love, rode along for the Rising, witnessed the Death. All those roads led to here. Nothing but love and admiration acquired along the way. A phenomenal trilogy and an experience beyond compare. This epilogue is epic.

    Chapter 3

“…something I thought I had forgotten, something I wanted to stay forgotten.” Morgan is a prickly one but why would he choose that? Bury that possibility? I suppose the puppy is a good start. Any way to let happiness in. A warm body to love. One more new beginning. I want to commend the distinction drawn between drifters and other unhoused people, it’s important. Aaron speaks to it so well as did Kinney. (I was well aware of the long-term hold status when I stuck my nose in here and I am not disappointed in the least.)

    Chapter 1

The use of ‘anchor’ seems quite symbolic, apt, in more ways than one here. Something heavy, a great weight. When aweigh it’s the start of a journey but still just above the bottom. Seems that’s where Morgan is right now.

    Prologue

For a brief and fleeting moment I thought you’d written a happy couple. Nope! Apparently I’m in for more exquisite love and loss. <sigh>
  18. The synopsis teases a kiss on a train but there’s more: I saw daddy kissing Santa Claus. Be prepared for more twists than you would find in a candy cane factory. Brace yourself for loss but know that love might win. Settle in for surprises, there are more than a few. Lines of communication get crossed and severed, conclusions are reached without consultation and collaboration. Time passes. Believe in the magic of Christmas? Aditus has sprinkled some here.

  19. We are social creatures, built to make connections, best when we love another more than ourselves. This series, The Watcher, explores the physical loss of a loved one and the psychological aftermath. Carefully and considerately Headstall writes my greatest fear: being the partner left behind. Whether you are 18 or 80, mated or alone, you need to read this, these short stories of love lost and found. Why? They fill my heart with hope and I know they’ll do the same for you. Tales like these help me stay in love with love.

    Chapter 6

If it wasn’t for the incompetent baby sitter would there even be this Christmas miracle? A binge so nice I’m sure I’ll do it twice.
  24. Seems Peter is a grade-A recovering idiot. Tristan is a bit hard hearted here since he’s inwardly blaming himself. Tangled web and all that.

    Chapter 3

I was just going to read the first chapter and go finish working. I can’t put this down!
