The Masquerade

"Please Alex," said the voice of my best friend from childhood.
"You know how I feel about Storyville," I replied, twisting the phone cord with one hand while I stared at the calendar on my kitchen wall and dreading the date that was rapidly approaching.
"It's been six years, Alex," he said, and I could hear the pleading tone still in his voice. "I promise the party won't be bad, and you'll have fun. Have I ever l
". . . and the marketing department has the figures that we need, so we can start ordering what we need to have the expansion packs ready by Fall," Margot was saying, and I was embarrassed when I understood that I'd tuned her out for most of what she was saying.
I didn't make a habit of tuning out my assistant. It was just that I couldn't wait for five o'clock on Friday. That was the time when I would leave this office, this building, and head off to the farm for a much needed two week vaca
It had been a week since Marty had left, and we missed him like crazy. All of our friends missed him. I missed him most of all. I didn't understand why everyone had to be so cruel to him all of the time. At least one of us, our group, had tried to make sure that we were with him all of the time at school. We just couldn't be there at all times, and he got hurt. He got hurt because of homophobia and ignorance. That's all there was to it. Marty got hurt because he was gay. That's what made me angr
I'm not sure about Eddie's dad's involvement in the fire. I believe he at least knows something about it. Anyway, very good chapter. I only started reading the story yesterday and I'm all caught up. Hats off to Mr. Kirk. A departure from his usaul genre, but a great read!

I just found this story last night, and I was so happy to see the continuation of the "Do Over" series! I was shocked and pleased to see it coming from Brian's pov. I'm looking forward to reading the story as it unfolds. Hats off to Dan. He's done it again!

Thank you everyone! It's been a strange day. I just got home from my birthday party and nearly couldn't make it home. Not because I'm drunk (I don't really drink) there's ice everywhere! Still trying to figure out how to live single again right now. My birthday was great though! Thanks again!

That's only happened a few times for me. It happed a lot when I was writing The Spell, but not so much while I wrote The Craft, because the type of sex that was in there just wasn't my idea of a good time. I usually feel silly when I write a sex scene. That's probably why there isn't much sex in most of my stories.

What, no ELO?
Ozzy but no Sabbath?
no AC/DC? No Zepelin --
dude you're a freak

This is just what I have on CD. AC/DC, Zep and Sabbath are on the original album format. [for the kiddies, that's what you play on a turntable. Do you know what a turntable is? (vintage audio info link))
ELO?

LOL
I won't even go into what's in my own collection. I don't want to get slammed for it.
I do like Nirvana, though. I'm also really big on the heavy metal music right now. I'll listen to just about anything as long as I can understand it, though.

Now, I'm very interested in anything new that Dom will write, but I really hope that DD doesn't become a back burner story. I'm really eager to find out what Rory's life will be like now that he knows about his household.
Wow! I'm reading too many stories when I should be writing the two of mine that I have going!

Pyro,
I'm sorry that I haven't emailed you lately. I have been reading your stories, and I love them. I've just been dealing with school, work and Jordan. I hope all is well.
