  1. Thanks for responding! And here's to all the people now and in the past, that have made others get the feeling to write. Oh I got so many of such people in my life! To all of them...
  2. @Doha
  3. Thanks for responding! I agree, shorts give you a lot of space for experimenting. Certain writing styles, I don't think will ever work in long forms but they work spectacularly well in shorts. For example, I once wrote a micro piece were I kept changing the tense on every alternate paragraphs to show persent actions and flashes of memories without explaining much. That sort of writing won't work in long forms; at least not as densely as I used and throughout the story. Short is where you can try those fun tweaks. Oh, I confess, I'm an inspiration-hoarder! I save pictures in both my laptop and my phone to use them someday. Random pictures that may seem redundant to others but not to me. You may relate, some pictures whisper to you at first glance! Arbitrarily encountered pictures e.g. a corridor that looks too used but now empty, a front porch with a light on but the door is closed, a desk besides a window, an old terrace under a cloudy sky, rain glistened streets at night, a shabby building in a posh surroundings, someone standing in a crowd and yet so lost that he or she stands out - there are so many pictures in my folders!!! There are so many stories to tell. Maybe I need to clear out some memory spaces afterall 😅 Thanks for sharing the link. I'll be happily sharing my stories there, soon.
  4. Thank you so much for responding! Creator of prompts - I never thought of it but now your work sounds amazing!! It must be so damn hard to think of a thought-nugget that can spark wires in so many creative minds. And you're right, none of those stories and poems are yours, ture. But then, you are the mastermind!
  5. Okay so now you are letting @Doha to have Rusty!!! You are so shifty @J.El
  6. Thank you for taking a time out and responding! As you can see, so many authors have said the same thing as you did and now, truth be told, I slightly feel ashamed that I let such a novice-like irrational guilt overpower me. I totally agree with what you've said; it makes no sense to regret using story prompts from one source when you rely on so many from other sources, one way or the other. Yeah, muse comes in all shapes and forms. And as @northie said, "there'd be a large hole if they didn't exist." I personally don't face much trouble with writer's block unless I'm aiming to write a "purely mine" story aka to write a story without help of any prompt. And also when I'm trying to write a story of a longer format. I will check out your inputs on writer's block to find some solution. Thank you for mentioning your article.
  7. Rusty and I together, happily ever after - yeah, that must be a tragedy for you and comedy for us! But don't worry, I won't write that story. I don't have the heart to hurt you like that and it's really not my style 😎
  8. No! Rusty and I decided that our reality should remain private so that only we two get to cherish it ☺️ Maybe I'll write a rom-com around Connor and your reality, if I'm allowed ofcourse.
  9. We get it @J.El we get it! 😏 You love Connor, so we shouldn't call that creep a creep 😑
  10. A different vibe...
  11. aceptado 🤗
  12. The most effective humours are driven from reality, only the angle of observation is thoughtfully manipulated. So Rusty and my relationship is as real as it gets, just the point of view is redirected. 🙃Rusty and I are glad that we could make you laugh. ☺️
  13. Wow! I mean just wow! When Matty came to my house, asking for notes on how to play the real life me, I wasn't expecting from him to learn so fast. Good job Matty, you captured the everlasting strength and sweetness of mine and Rusty's relationship perfectly; so much so that I feel threatened! Nah, just joking 😁 With Rusty holding my hand, there's no threat to me, whatsoever. 😇 Okay, just send Connor on a date with John. The William dude is jealous AF! I'm pretty sure @J.El is trying his best to keep Connor all to himself. But I'm counting on @J.El's big heart; I'm sure he will share Connor with John. And I like Zoey's tactics of milking two cows, yes I do and I'm not ashamed. It's a freaking cake we are talking about!!! How can you not? Mother Han is cool and we all knew she would be super cool. Roy Darker on the other hand, sorry sir but you've just crossed the line with your remarks on Francine! You've got to make a lot of effort or I may have to agree with @J.El early presumption of you. Last thing - can we please invite Ray and Hannah for the cake ceremony? They both deserves to be a part of this celebration.
  14. I like the way you reviewed this book. Often, reviews are dense talks about what's there in the story, film or any other art work for that matter. But very few considers the artist's personal position in life while creating or publishing the work. You took aunt Christie's evolution as an author into consideration and that took this review a notch higher.
  15. Sounds very interesting! Plus point for a reader like myself - it has drabbles in it. Writing drabbles are hard but when you can make them land, they are extremely enjoyable.
  16. Now that books and movies are allowed here.... 'Lie With Me' by Philippe Besson. Warning, this story has a tragic ending but somehow it works! Maybe because the author reached that ending along with the character and not with his publishing company's demand. The story has recently been adapted into a feature film and I'm dying to watch it!!! It was released last year and still, I can't find it on any streaming platform. Here's the trailer for you 👇
  17. You are a celebrity 🤩 It's in my binge list. I will watch it next year. Got no time for a series this year.
  18. Heard good things for this one but couldn't watch it. Unavailable for streaming in my country ☹️
  19. Yet to start but saw couple of clips on YouTube. Not half bad. Smiley is a one time watch, purely made for relaxation. YR season 1 is effective and season 2 is unnecessary. That whole season could have been skipped or better merged into two episodes! Elite is one of those shows were I can't bring myself to like just one single character! Forget about story; if I don't care for any of the characters, why would I want to know who dies and who kills?! I only watched Elite season 1 - episode 1 & 2 and I was done. 😑 Same thoughts, so never started with the journey! So am I. We are Picky-mons 😃
  20. Wrong video alert! Wrong video alert! 🚨🚨🚨 It's the trailer for the movie, not the series! Just Google it, the series is with the same name.
  21. Sorry for the double links but can't edit it out! And where do we talk about gay books and films?
  22. Have anyone seen this ☝️ HBO comedy-drama Looking? Heard praise for it but yet to watch, so I can't vouch for it.

    All the Signs

Either way, I don't think I will feel bad for Olivia! Personally, I'd rather see her rot behind prison bars but still....
