Yes I know..assess, treat, stabilize, discharge with referral..(hopefully). Back in my young and dumb 20’s I was once an EMT who saw more in 4 yrs than most paramedics do in 20. Not to say that my experiences trump all. Not at all. I just know what I see in how ED’s run with a trauma level 1 hospital. Not discounting your experiences either. Most docs simply don’t have time sadly. But when it comes to kids…you kind of should make the time maybe more than a brief 15 assessment..just my .02

Panic attacks are utterly devastating. I’m so glad I’ve healed from the hell that was my trauma enough to no longer have them but you’re correct. The author did a very accurate description of what is called a night terror when you wake from them like that. It’s essentially the same thing as a panic attack except you are woken from sleep in a sweat soaked state like that. Grounding back to find reality is very hard when you’re like that. It takes a lot of help and counseling to be able to do that. You are most definitely blessed to not have experienced shit like that. All I wanted to do was hug Nick and whisper that it’s temporary.

Ok yes, I agree that Jonah is hiding his fragility behind is antics. Nick COULD tell Jack but how he drops what happened needs to be done carefully and understand that it could very well blow up into his face and ruin his and Jack’s relationship too. Was it just a kiss? Yes. But only because Jonah initiated. That said, I feel that Jack too is too fragile to take the news right now. There’s too much going on in his world alone. Jack already stated Nick is the only one HE feels safe with and if he took the news of what happened wrong he’ll self destruct. Ok yeah I can understand the argument that Nick did kiss Jonah back but two things need to be kept in mind here. First, they’re both horny teens with very little self control. Secondly, anyone would be very hard pressed to resist kissing that little imo back. That said, Nick…you need to create some distance from Jonah for a while. Jonah is going to continue to press. With his lack of filter and understanding of social cues much less of his respect of Nick’s boundaries, he’s gonna blurt it out at the wrong time and that could be very well possibly more destructive to Nick and Jack’s relationship too. Perhaps the best way to break what happened between Nick and Jonah is for Nick to create distance from Jonah and for Jack to notice and ask Nick. Nick needs to make very clear he didn’t initiate, desire it and is very scared of how to tell Jonah for fear of his reaction. On to the next chapter!

Honestly, now isn’t the time for Nick to confess anything about what happened between him and Jonah and he also better make damn sure Jonah keeps his lips shut. Perhaps the best person to talk sense into Jonah would be Christian. He seems the only one that Jonah listens to and respects because he sure as shit doesn’t respect Nick’s wishes or personal space at all. All this cuddling bs is Jack off porn for him later and is 💯 entirely self serving. As cute af as Jonah is, I’ve been getting pretty tired of his act towards Nick. He doesn’t grope Jack like he does Nick. Tbh Jack has every right to throttle him one but he too is blind to his act too. Nick’s best bet right now to alleviate any guilt he’s got is to talk to Christian and have HIM put Jonah in line because Jonah doesn’t care about the friendship he just broke between Nick and him.

Agreed. It looks like there’s a bit of an issue there with dear ole Nan. I think however, that Nick’s mom is preparing in the background for eventual pursuit of permanent termination and then adoption. Get the right judge and it could work.

First off that took forever to happen. Mind you I’m not complaining because it needed to. I don’t even care it needed to take so long. I’m just relieved it happened before the start of the school year. I suspect that if Joel and Dav start the year out coming out as a couple and WHY Joel transferred I have a feeling his transfer will be more widely accepted because I have a feeling their generation will be more open and understanding and not make their own wrong assumptions. I might be wrong there though. Plus they already have lots of support with Gavin and Cole. Anyone who wants to give them shit will have a rude awakening coming. Secondly, Davin admitting to his childhood crush of Cole has me thinking that’s how he REALLY knew Joel was gay. I think both boys showed more signs that Cole picked up on and he put two and two together. I strongly suspect at some point in their earlier teens, Davin made a pass at Cole. But Cole didn’t shun him and that speaks volumes. Again, I may be wrong there but if Davin is this forward now with Joel, it stands to reason that he’d have been so with Cole too. Thirdly, I love the interaction between Joel and Celia. It won’t be long before Joel will finally let her embrace him like he needs but doesn’t realize.

Bravo to all. Glad to see Nick and Jack address their shit. Nick I think struggles most with depression more than anything else. jack, C-PTSD and depression. Sometimes more than one person struggling together can affect the other. Like, they rub off each other. this can create for some tense times. But it’s good to see both boys recognize their struggles affect the other . Nana and Jack’s mom have a good plan. oh and Jack’s “he’s winning” comment on Mr. bojangles is pure gold.
