Not going to lie, the confession on the way to the meet had me bawling huge crocodile tears. I’m proud of Joel. I’m proud of Cody. Lisa is still undeserving. Joel’s dad is still whipped but I can understand his position is very difficult but good lord man grow a set. Trace was pissed and rightly so. Celia, I expected, to be pissed but she kept it cool and calm and that I think, kept the cops from being called. Speaking of, I wondered if they’d be involved at the house when Trace and everyone arrived in a domestic between Joel’s parents. Oh well. Good chapter

I wholeheartedly agree on all points. I wasn’t too pleased Nick’s mom invited Tommy without consulting Nick first but I get it too. Tommy provided Nick with a much unrealized but very much needed change of pace and break from just Jack all week. Not that there’s anything wrong with Jack because how I envision Jack in my mind & I wouldn’t want to be apart either. I think it was just enough space apart however and it was good for all involved. Maybe Tommy might find it in his interest to ask his folks if he could transfer to HW…? Sounds like public school keeps him in the closet. I agree Noah is not going to go away either. The way Jonah essentially attacked him now has me worried. Will he reciprocate? Jonah is alone now more frequently now that Danny and him and hit the breaks for a while. Yeah. I’m a little worried for sure.

Not gonna lie I’m a bit worried about Mr. death breath back there on campus. I wonder if whatever letter Nick’s mom writes will be causing more trouble vs fixing what needs fixing

This chapter definitely felt like learning to surf and finally getting the hang of it. Next chapter, The wave crashes ..avoiding rocks gets tricky

Ah yes I forgot to comment on Mr. J. Gag! The fart scene would’ve been a total dad move on teenage boys and hilarious IF it weren’t for whatever the fuck he was concocting in the kitchen didn’t happen first. Since it did, his dedication seemed very…out of place but to be so makes it fit his character perfectly. It was a weird scene. Judging by the reaction of the boys, that guy has some serious gut rot going on. This dude is not creepy in a predator type of way but…more idk just weird..like unexplainably weird. Some vices and hobbies with odd ppl you can at least understand ..but this dude? Nah just straight up oddball.

Happy sigh… I am so relieved Jonah came to his senses and apologized outright to everyone especially directly to Danny. Maybe there is hope yet for those two to try again after a spell. Kit and Emory.. yep love that. I get Noah …tried to save face with Nick however it was for the wrong reasons. I say that because he has more to learn about himself and how he treats and views Nick. He showed his hand by using the excuse that he was just a horny 15yo (lame af that was) and then as if THAT wasn’t enough of a reason to slam the door in his face, he goes and asks Nick if he wanted to be BJ buddies after Nick already told him he is in a committed relationship with Jack. Dude! Really?! Go pound sand. Danny is waaay more mature than Noah is and that honestly is sad given the age difference.
