Coal and natural gas power plants would likely shut down within days due to fuel depletion, while hydroelectric dams or nuclear plants could potentially continue operating for longer periods. ——————- So I’m going to assume it won’t be a problem based on the current activities in the story.

I wouldn’t be a lot of help. Although maybe I could have found something on tv for them. Only that the pumps require electricity to run, especially the newer digital ones. But there are ways around that. Local channels specifically were mentioned, and that would be true. More channels were probably loaded with news. I know at those ages I didn’t pay attention to the news. Except maybe at 8 on my brother’s birthday when we first landed on the moon. True. The animal aspect was completely overlooked by this stupid author. It could have added a few more chapters. Fitting it in after completion wouldn’t be easy.
