I once lived on a dog Until it tired of me It scratched and I flew off Hated, 'coz I'm a flea I was without my dog It seemed I had no purpose No other choice had I But to join the circus It wasn't in a big top Like circuses you'd see 'Twas on a patch of dog hair And full of fleas like me It wasn't just for fleas tho' A spider there I saw He was so kind and gentle It left me quite in awe I jumped a little closer wary of its web I think I saw a fly t

Another 2025 Poetry Anthology - Diversity entry. Apologies to Mary Howitt for paraphrasing her poem's title. Members of two different species experience love and hate.

Maybe a stupid question, but couldn't Devin simply transition into something smaller and let the parts just "fall out"? He'd have to move bones and things around anyway, just transition around the plates.

You missed a grand oportunity for a play on words, here: She also said that she’d rather see Dad eat a little more of it than having it go to waste, so it went to Dad’s waist instead.

I guess you're just going to have to wait until tomorrow for a better explanation. I will say this though, it may not be completely accurate from a "is this even posible" perspective.

Part One: I Have My Own Alexa?
Lee Wilson commented on Jason Rimbaud's story chapter in Part One: I Have My Own Alexa?
I tend to think that Jake was just happy to be able to show off to an older boy. -
You will find a kindred spirit in a few chapters. Maybe not even all 10. I do write pretty nasty antagonists, don’t I?

It’s not too late to change it! -

Tyler lets the cat out of the bag with mom. Will she tell dad or wait for him to? Hmmmm -

That would be one way to get the desperately needed ‘A.’ -
ML doing something good for someone else? I don’t know. Gotta think about that.
-
Sounds familiar, don’t it?

You don’t really want me to answer that question, do you? Partial answer on Thursday, the rest of it Saturday.

A stuck elevator. Hmmm. In the famous words of Maxwell Smart (no relation to Lionel), 'Would you believe' she gets shot in a botched robbery attempt by someone even dumber than her, not realizing everything is free? No? I didn't think so. Best we can hope for is alone somewhere else, maybe.

This was the first of Ronyx's stories I had ever read. It's a story about good versus evil. While evil lands a couple hits over the course of the story, good finally triumphs. Teenage angst and struggles abound to keep one interested all the way through. As with any good story, one begins to feel he knows the characters personally. They are written well and everything about them is believable. I've used this phrase in a review before, recently. What are you waiting for? Get off your ass and read this story. You won't regret it. Now, leave me alone so I can read some more of Ronyx's stuff.

Hardship overwhelms friendship. What Lucas went through shouldn't happen to anybody. But it forced him to take a fresh look at his life, and though disabled, he came out stronger and better in the end. The rest of Lucas' friends banded together to come to his aid, both physically and emotionally. All were better in the end for it. I anxiously await the sequel starring Neil and Chandler.

A human Guinea pig. I like it. But won't use it. I have other plans for ML.

Until and unless the CDC, WHO, or other health organizations appear, other nations may be hesitant to render assistance, for fear that whoever they send will be affected. It's apparently airborne, but who knows what level of filter may prevent inhalation. I'll provide a minor spoiler, it's not technically a virus.
-
As usual, all very good points. I didn't consider masks, mostly because our little band of ten is immune. Batteries and the like are something that should be considered. Perhaps that is in the minor details we're not privy to.
-
We have another psychic prediction. Let's wait and see what happens to ML in chapter 5, shall we? New order, I guess that could be considered covered in a couple chapters too.
-
Got that covered coming up as well, chapter 6 actually.

One negative about car radios is, unless you've got Sirius or whatever, all you can get is a local station. Also, if there was nobody left in an area of the US, how would anybody else know everyone was dead unless they tried to call or visit. Visitors would suffer the same fate as who they're visiting, at least until some point in time. I'll say it won't EXACTLY be a global issue. Could there be side-effects? Not saying. The scope is limited, as you'll all find out in the next two chapters.

Attitude adjustment on order. Unfortunately, they're currently out of stock. Marie-Louise has been placed on a waiting list. Bronchitis may help in the short-term, but once cured or cycled through, one would be susceptible to the actions of the mysterious illness. Humans are a social creature, being among others is very nearly a necessity. Not much forethought about batteries and the like. I will provide a minor spoiler and say there is a Staples and Target nearby, so additional supplies would be easy to obtain.
-
Oh, you don't know how funny it is that you called her Mary-Lou. But she doesn't know how to stop. More proof next chapter. They will get some answers.
-
Wrong President, hehe. Yes, answers are indeed in the cards.
