At least it wasn’t right after eye surgery this time. Not sure how long you’ll have to wait. Only 2 chapters drafted and I haven’t checked with all my editors/readers about that one.

Thanks for the comments. Had a family situation come up this weekend. But I went ahead and published as scheduled. I’ll respond to the comments soon as I recover from a 2-day drive, round trip from Georgia to Pennsylvania, and loading a truck in the middle.

But it’s easier to charge a lot extra for a $10,000 procedure than a few hundred dollar extended office visit. Good thing I didn’t really cover the insurance aspect.

I have to have at least one asshole in every story. Very simple, just the fee for an extended office visit. With a Dx of Leukemia, the insurance company were left unawares. Uncle Marco would have been there, but he was still serving his life sentence.

Not quite as bad as you think. My comment from chapter 3: I don't remember where I found that, but I remember seeing that about 5% of patients are blast patients. More than she could possibly handle, but even the blast phase isn't a guaranteed death sentence. The survival rates go up every year.

Probably not all of those patients will hear about her skill. I'm not expecting her to be overrun, just very busy. More on this in chapter 7.
