  1. Jeff’s level of stupidity hasn’t reached its peak. But yeah, the brothers aren’t as broke up about catching Stephen and Michael as true homophones might be.

    Progress

Well, the physical side is improving, now the mental side needs to catch up. Or at least start showing signs of returning memory. I think once he’s out in the world there will be triggers to his memories and things will come back. Like a broken chicken leg, Shepard’s pie, or hearing a name. Heehee.

    First Contact

My thought when the name meant nothing to him was that maybe the adoption papers were prior to the adoption and Josh is/was his birth name. I saw mine and I was initially named Peter Andrew.
  4. One thing I found funny. Not haha funny. My amnesiac forgot he was gay. It was one of the first personal details that came back. This line was great: I could feel that particular appendage clear as day, and it definitely felt like my favorite one.
  5. Yeah, you got me there!
  6. Storms are mostly mild from here on. I think, at least I’m not remembering anything too bad. Getting caught is over too. Art’s dads are great. Seth? Yes, we’ll see.
  7. The boys go back to school, and another school-week passes without much excitement. But the weekend arrives with Sam having a sleepover at Virgil's Friday night. We turn into voyeurs once again to watch the goings on. Sam/Virgil "I'm glad your mom let me come over for a sleepover tonight. It's been a while since we did this." "Yeah, not since the last sleepout of the summer did we sleep together. Plenty of other times we 'got together' though, hee hee." "Yeah. So, Virge, do y
  8. Definitely dumb laws everywhere. But comment away, even almost 3 years later, I appreciate them.
  9. No traditions now, but growing up, mom always made ham and an egg-based cheese she’d call cidec, but googling, it seems to really be called Hrudka. Earworms? Too many to mention.
  10. Thanks. I can be surprising. More of that is coming. It’s all new for Stephen, so he doesn’t want to commit too strongly just yet. That won’t last long.
  11. Wow, what an asshat Alex is. Peru might be a big mistake, for both Alex and Cody. Alex mouths off to the wrong person surrounded by Peruvians, he may come home in a box. Methinks Cody will eventually regret not staying with Oliver.
  12. All good comments. Aside from counseling, I don’t dwell on Bobby’s feelings. Peter? I don’t go there much more either. My thinking is maybe the parents know but keep it quiet. Obviously Scott doesn’t based on his reactions in chapter 2. Loose ends? Not Willie and Davey; but a couple is involved.
  13. Definitely ideal candidates.
  14. Quite right, even, bloody well right.
  15. Got it. No unexpected breakups. Bobby will be fine. I think.
  16. Teens I usually just send off to jail and kill them off later, often in an epilogue. Yeah, the tanker truck crashing the cult’s admin building was sweet. It was however a variation of a bad guy’s end requested by @Summerabbacat.
  17. Yeah, there’s a lot of that going around. Oh, wait, mine told me to leave.
  18. Had to put a little scare into you all. Yeah, Bobby will need time to recover, but a full recovery looks promising. I initially wrote this before I started getting nasty to my characters. I’ll have to make sure they get a mention in the epilogue.
  19. Thanks. But don't quit your day job.
  20. Art - With Dad #2 - Winston Stevenson "Hi dad. How was work?" "Stressful. I had to deal with assault charges on two kids today." "Was this about Bobby Lassiter?" "Oh, right. I forgot you know his brother. Yes." "Davey Aranson and Willie LeDeuce?" "Right again." "They going to jail for a long time?" "Well, unfortunately at 14 and 15 they're too young for traditional jail. But they are going away to juvenile hall for a while. At least until they're 18. At th
  21. Thanks. Jeff runs hot and cold for a bit. Sometimes it only takes once.
  22. Congrats, @Jeff Burton!
  23. She may have given me a few story ideas, but the nastiness and demented characters are all me.
  24. That is left up to the reader's imagination in this story. Once incarcerated, Willie and Davey are forgotten. Unfortunately, too true. I took Italian as my language elective in high school, 2 years IIRC, but most of it is gone. Any Italian here was provided by Dr. Google. And yes, the real person behind Lee Wilson is 3/4 Italian, although not according to ancestry dot com. I like to say I have a quart of Scotch in me as well, even though I won't drink the corresponding liquor.
