  1. A boatful of lawyers capsized in the ocean. Why didn’t the sharks eat them? Professional courtesy.
  2. That’s a tough question. Tune in tomorrow to see what the answer us.
  3. Definitely more street savvy is Mo. Exactly, the drastic thoughts of a man suddenly thrust somewhere he had no expectation to ever be. That and he's small, picking on a guard might simply have gotten him laughed at. Yes, we shall.
  4. You'll tell us what it is when the time comes, I hope? Wow, I didn't think anybody else knew about Todd's 2nd street motel.
  5. For that, yeah, majorly stupid. Lost a hundred or more IQ points for that comment.
  6. Yeah, right? And to think I was writing him as someone smart. Maybe he's just a little ignorant about some things.
  7. I think I know someone dumber, the author. 😁 He never thought about any of that either. I'll agree with you on Fred's lawyer. Fortunately, we're done with that moron. A stretch about Mo. Hmm, let me see what I can do about that. Oh, wait, the rest is already written. I guess I can slide something in about Mo. Funny you should Mention Ben Franklin. I actually considered making a historical reference to him but changed it to Custer.
  8. That he is. If I must say so myself, the next chapter is quite a bit more interesting. You can all find out why after six AM EDT tomorrow.
  9. Crossed fingers is exactly right. Although all Watson was in this case was the messenger. Okay, maybe he followed Bully's case, but he doesn't deserve too much credit. Interesting thought. Gotta think about some changes in a later chapter perhaps. Not sure how big a settlement he could wrangle, federal guidelines are $50k per year. I guess $18.75k for 4 1/2 months would not be rejected.
  10. Nice escape, but will Omar's earlier threat actually come to pass?
  11. He was: "Why am I getting out so soon?" "Williamson pleaded guilty to murder-two to avoid the needle." So, there was no trial. To be answered in chapter 9. Simple answers are yes, but exactly what forms, you'll have to wait until tomorrow. Chapter 10 will drop Monday.
  12. Fred was escorted back to his cell. It wasn't free time yet, so he just sat there in his cell, considering what the news meant. If he gets out in about three months, everything he'd gone through with Mo will be for naught. His thoughts ranged from simply having to get used to it, to what could he do to stay for fifteen more years. At dinner, he told Mo that he had news from his lawyer but didn't want to talk about it in a crowd. Once they got back to the cell block, they sat down in Mo's cell, a
  13. As implied before, Fred's lawyer isn't the tastiest donut in the box, so Fred is SOL. I do like the points about damages. I think that will be brought up at a point in the future. Stockholm Syndrome? Maybe, maybe not. There will be a mess beneath the shoe racks, for sure.
  14. Fred definitely wouldn't want to leave. Living next-door did come up at the voir dire. Bullard indicated he didn't know Fred other than seeing him, and the judge, rightly or not, didn't seem to care.

    Chapter 4

He's a much confused fifteen-year-old boy. Many of which are confused regardless of the situation.
  16. Apparently, the prosecution's explanation of unprotected sex within the past few days was believed by the jury, but Watson definitely fucked up there too. In the end, Fred will be OK.
  17. Fred wouldn't want to be moved away from Mo, things are going in the right direction anyway. Watson definitely not on the top of his game for missing that stuff.
  18. Yep, things are looking up.
  19. All valid points. We shall see how this situation evolves shortly.
  20. Since it wasn't Dennison on the block that night, the prisoners figured something happened. They weren't locked in their cells yet, so Mo took Fred aside. "Denny isn't here. While it's possible he called in sick, we need to get in sync in case Winters canned him or something. He may have let the Warden know who visited whom to try to get out of it somehow." "What do you suggest?" "As long as we both stick with 'it wasn't me,' we should be okay." "I'm guessing you won't crack,

    Chapter 4

Why isn’t there a groan emoji?
  22. I know. It’s difficult to not keep sharing.

    Chapter 3

I’ve written both ways, a chapter at a time, never getting too far ahead; and completed a story before I started posting. Switched over to the second mode after I had three stories going at the same time. I think I pulled that off ok, but I like being further ahead. Still tweaking chapter by chapter, but essentially complete. 5000 words in a day? I think I’ve done that in a couple hours a few times. Motivation is a big factor. I can just as easily struggle with getting through a chapter over multiple days. The key for all of us is write at whatever rate you’re comfortable with. I know as a reader, I want more, faster. I also know that isn’t always possible for a writer. Case in point, I just completely caught up with Ridley Pearson’s ‘Kingdom Keeper’ series's, along with ‘The Return’ and ‘Inheritance.’ I finished a couple of those in a single day. I highly recommend them, even though they’re intended for teenagers, I thought the series was awesome.

    Chapter 4

Whoa, completely didn’t expect that. Hopefully that doesn’t make things weird for them tomorrow. I have to wonder if Olivia is the kind of girlfriend that helps the gay boy look straight. I’m not sure, but Liam and Mike’s nocturnal activity might have gone a little, shit, waaaay past “normal” experimentation.

    Chapter 7 S2

Good chapter, lots of topics to digest. Kind of sad they’ll need to kill off a couple of the coyotes, but that’s Darwin for you. Gave me a thought, could they transition to extinct creatures? A T-rex would scare the shit out of the coyotes.
