Doctor Carlo and Brandon 2. Jacksonville Jaunts

   (4 reviews)
IMG_0217.jpeg

This is a continuation, roughly fourteen years later, of my previous story, 'My Friend and Protector' (https://gayauthors.org/story/lee-wilson/my-friend-and-protector/).

Carlo no longer needs Karl as his protector, but as a result of something related to his psychiatric practice, he needs his husband Brandon more than ever. I don't believe needing to read that first is a requirement to enjoy this one.

Anger, depression, suicidal tendencies, suicide, and possibly actions bordering on insanity will be topics throughout the story.

Character driven as opposed to relying upon melodrama is one of the hallmarks of a @Lee Wilson story, and this one features well drawn characters in spades.

Carlo and Brandon, teenage lovers are now marred with children of their own. Featuring a number of characters from the first book in the Jacksonville Jaunts, this story stands on its own, but I must say, do not deprive yourself of the pleasure derived from reading the first book in the Jacksonville Jaunts, before reading this one.

The storylines are believable, with many of the characters experiencing the day to day happiness and heartbreak that is common to us all. There are a couple of hideous characters, but no Wilsonian story would be complete without such "humans".

Read it and enjoy.

Thanks for the great review.

This story is about Carlo and Brandon, who love each other unconditionally.  Their hard times are hard to read but necessary cause life in real life is not perfect by any means. Everyone has their own problems. A must read to take your mind off of your own problems with some tears(bring tissues) and laughter too. Too the very end.

Response from the author:

Many thanks Sherye. I'm still amazed that my stories are so well received. If I had found this site when it first started, I could have really published some things, made a little cash even. OK so, maybe not. Grazie mille (Thank you very much.)

What a roller coaster ride! We meet many an interesting person during our course of the story, both in Carlos personal and his professional life.

Response from the author:

Thanks for the kind words. Rollercoasters are fun. Both in reality and in stories. What life isn't filled with ups and downs?
