There was no more discussion about Herb, either that night or anytime afterward. And that night, and the next two nights, there was no discussion at all between Lacy and Dylan. Tuesday I looked for Herb at bowling but he wasn't there. His team was using a sub. I started to wonder if he quit because he didn't want to have to deal with me, or he was just sick. I'd find that out two weeks later. I'd find out something a lot different before then. Friday Lacy came home from work

Judge Ridge may very well make another appearance. They’ll both gladly sacrifice an hour or two of sleep a day to make that happen. Ah, youth. -

Yeah, they needed a break, well, another break. Thanks, dezgo.com is my AI friend. -

True on point one, but hopefully he'll see less of it. Could be he already has the nutso gene. I figured it was about time the boys had a run of good luck. -
Saturday July 29 We'll tag along in Derek's mind now for the next little while. Damn, there are a lot of things to sign when buying a condo. I guess it's the same for a house. No wonder people don't do it more often than they have to. But we started early, so by 10 AM Jeremy and I were homeowners. I understand it went smoother because we weren't getting financing. We thanked the realtor and lawyer and headed over to our new home. We'll be taking Adam's bedroom set for now for his room,

Honesty can be brutal sometimes though. A little spoiler for chapter 9 I suppose. -

Cool. I was figuring on a small company, highly profitable, $40 million or so overall sale price. I honestly don't know. I think the last time I bowled when around 2005 in Pennsylvania. Pro bowlers need to learn somewhere, I guess. -

Mine too. I guess sometimes we write what we feel. -
Tuesday It's my first night out after deciding with Lacy we'd each take one. I joined a bowling league. They were partway through the summer season, but I got lucky, one team had someone who had to drop out for health reasons. I would have been a floating substitute otherwise, but this way I would be on the same team the rest of the summer. It's a four-man league, they let me lead off tonight because I had to establish my average. In the past I was the closer. I wasn't sure I'd bowl my earl

Smokey (Robinson) Brings His Friends to Visit
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Smokey (Robinson) Brings His Friends to Visit
Good thing this is fiction. 😀 But if you were given a choice, do one or die, which would it be? J/K. -
Raptors, huh? Like maybe they could transition into velociraptors. Since they’re doing birds, how about a pterodactyl? They could start a panic. Or better yet, get jobs in the Jurassic Park franchise. OK, enough silliness. Great chapter. Next one, don’t let them transition back from an owl when their head is pointed behind them. Ouch. There are probably other animals that could have dangerous consequences based on their physical positioning. I’d love having the ability, but I’d be scared out of my wits that I’d transition back and do myself permanent damage.

Yeah, not quite at the adoption level @BoyLove mentioned, but close. Adam is 4. He wouldn’t even understand gay. Point one: I think I’m going to have fun writing. Point 2: Can’t you just see them squirm having to visit with two married gay men? I’m not sure I’m going to write that one though. Well, he is the unemployed one. Not your best prediction. 😇 -
Friday July 7 We'll start out with Derek. I call captain Fellows to talk about yesterday's callout. I have every intention of quitting. My cousin Adam made it through the night, and I've spent most of the day at the hospital with him. Granted, he doesn't know I'm here, he's still unconscious, but it makes me feel better. I step into a waiting room to make my call. "Hello Derek. How are you holding up?" "Not well at all Cap. I'm at the hospital with my cousin/nephew. He's hang

Relapse is always possible, haven't planned that far ahead yet. And no buns will be expected. -

It's not an uncommon belief that gay men prey on children. Plus, Lacy had attitude assistance from the tumor. No siblings are planned. We'll assume some kind of birth control was used. -

Lee Wilson posted new chapter in Before And After the Divorce
Monday It's been three days since the last update from Dr. Hsu, but the nurses keep us apprised of status. Continuing the doctor's snowball analogy, the snowball is still rolling down the hill, but summer has arrived. The shrinkage of the tumor and its dead cells has picked up speed. In the past three days, it has shrunk another 5 mm, down to 31 mm. The layer of dead cells is increasing even faster, being approximately 2 mm thick itself. It's not completely uniform, but the nurses say that- 22 comments

I think that qualifies. But what career change does he make? There’s still some mystery left. -

I should keep track of the times you all read my mind. I actually did think about that. We’ll just have to wait to see what happens, I guess. -

True on the investing. Maybe he’ll meet someone at the bank that can help him with that. Hmmm. Career change. Where have I seen that before? Oh, yeah. The prologue. -

It can’t be all bad. That’d be as boring as everything going well.
