Lacy's Status and Its Effect
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Lacy's Status and Its Effect
I'll attempt to continue with my every three-day posting schedule. I've got most of the first draft written, so you should see the next chapter Friday morning, Eastern Standard Time. Your concerns will definitely be covered. -
Lacy's Status and Its Effect
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Lacy's Status and Its Effect
Lacy has one much older sister, mentioned when the wedding was the topic, although her being a lot older wasn't obvious. I don't see an aunt entering the picture and making waves. -
Lacy's Status and Its Effect
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Lacy's Status and Its Effect
Sorry for what you went through as a child. I can somewhat sympathize because I lost my first wife with young children, one, not so coincidentally, the same age as Dominic. As an aside, for anyone reading my other current story, 'Rocked to the Core', my youngest was four at the time, same as Adam. Mine are both girls. I guess my next story has to have a daughter that is almost eleven losing a parent. Ummm, maybe not. -

Hmm. It must have been lost in a save. I was sure I indicated somewhere along the line that Lacy's parents were both dead, but I just checked my copies, not there. I'll make sure that point is obvious in chapter 11. So, no, they won't be causing Dylan and Dominic any problems.- 30 comments

Dominic and I are waiting what seems like an eternity. But I'm watching the clock on my phone, and it's only been twenty minutes. I'll give it to thirty then I'm going to try to find something out. Dominic cried himself to sleep after ten minutes. Two minutes after my self-made deadline, a doctor comes out. "Mr. Pastore?" "Over here." "Maybe you can put the child down and walk a little way away. Close enough that we can see him, far enough he won't overhear." I lay Dominic do

Going Home, Night Terrors, and Party Plans
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Going Home, Night Terrors, and Party Plans
Natural parents or not, they’re young and will make some mistakes. Nothing tragic, I don’t think. I think you’ll all be a bit surprised by what happens Friday the 18th. -

Like I said before, they need to have a run of good for a while. Derek’s young, psychology doesn’t come to the front of his mind easily. Even with Frank having mentioned it after the hostage situation. Mild spoiler: He needs a stronger trigger. Party will be fun, I’m sure. I’m not planning any twists there. -

Bzzz. Try again. Probably not anywhere, but it's more lunch fare than anything else. Geez. I hope so too. 😇 -
"We should celebrate. The current job has a tight schedule, so I could only get a couple hours off this morning. We can do dinner tonight, but maybe you can put together something for the weekend, Derek?" "Great idea. Sure, I can handle that." "Cool. Invite everybody you can think of. Definitely Mrs. Perch. We really blew it not thinking of her for the wedding." "Yeah, good point. She'll be my first call. Although she'll probably be at work. I'm not sure what she does though."

So far, so good.

Another good chapter. Now we know a little more about Michael. I wonder if something might happen between he and Donna when he’s no longer a patient.
-
Another good chapter. The characters are easy to get used to. Even though I haven’t read any of the previous stories, I feel like I know them already.

Good start to the story. I guess I joined in the middle, this being a sequel. Hopefully I can keep it straight starting here. wrt AI, I found a site that I’ve used, it also sometimes has problems with body parts. But it’s fun to use. dezgo.com

Never watched that show, so I didn’t steal it from there. But I’m sure there have been other shows/books included it. -

Sorry I dredged up bad memories, but I’m happy didn’t trigger anything bad. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, either being patient or caretaker. -

Yep. Definitely a tough time for a little one. Life sucks sometimes. I guess I like tragical twists… -

Yeah on the waiting. I’m trying to keep to every three days. Keeping pretty close to that. Good guess, but if you're right or not 🤐 -

I find it extremely difficult to pass up bad puns. Especially Star Trek related ones. -

Maybe, maybe not. Worf agrees. He’s a Klingon, for those that don’t know. -

Wow. A lot here @Clancy59. I really can tell that this chapter made the impact I hoped it would. One heart isn’t enough. Again, no comment on the speculation. Call the Jane Doe point either a mistake on my part or on the EMT’s. I included it to add to Dylan’s discomfort. Correct, also on the hearing details. Lacy imagined that. Also correct on Dominic being the real, or most impacted victim. Nice observation about him being intelligent. That is something I was going to make patently obvious in the future. Also spot on about the doctor and answering service. My intent there was the doctor left in a hurry and may not have done a good job informing all who needed the info about coverage. If it was in-hours, his direct staff would have been able to tell Dylan who was covering. The money is real. The condo, as @weinerdog queried? Well, that’s another wait and see. -

Exactly on the court point. Lacy has imagined all that. Dylan is a simple man, intelligent but not tremendously so; he takes a lot at face value. Also, he had to be shook up after the tirade and didn’t even know what to think. I’ll not comment on the speculation. What good is a cliffhanger if it gets ruined before the next chapter? -

Life throws us all a curve occasionally. Sometimes the ball hits us, sometimes it’s just a swing and a miss. We’ll see which it is for D&D You’ll find out in about three days.
