A Friendly? Welcome Back, and September Brings Trouble
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in A Friendly? Welcome Back, and September Brings Trouble
Right! But it was just my imagination, running away with me. To take a Samuel L Jackson line, or at least what it sounds like to me, from 'A Time to Kill' - Ax him. -
I don't know that my father was much into popular music of any type, he did have a few records of Italian music. He once heard Eric Clapton's 'Lay Down Sally.' He thought the words were 'Way down south.' I wasn't about to correct him.

Yep, except for his misdirected friends. Me too. Oh, wait... I know it already. -

Yes, I guess we'll see if my, er, the Judge's verdict is popular. You all won't have to wait too long for that, as I'm posting every other day for the duration. -
The twins would be better off living in a hospital; it would be less antiseptic. I picture the parents as Thurston and Lovey Howell, snobbish and unconcerned with anything other than their own pleasure. Davin is a ticking time bomb. He needs to open up or when his parents get home, he may end up killing them. (or maybe that's just me.) He hates his existence. Getting together with Joel may be just the thing he needs.

The twins had to have been conceived on a cruise ship. I'd be willing to bet when the parents are there, they have separate bedrooms.

A Friendly? Welcome Back, and September Brings Trouble
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in A Friendly? Welcome Back, and September Brings Trouble
Some people are threats to society without even knowing it. Claude likely knew what he was doing was wrong but perhaps was so used to being the way he was, couldn't really change. Did he have a moment of clarity while the ax was heading his way? Maybe, but obviously, we'll never know. Those that don't think what they're doing is bad for humanity (or the country in one case) are even worse. Thinking you're doing good when you are not worse than knowing you're doing bad. -

Me? Tricking you all? OK, so, yeah, maybe I would. But not in this case. But the school does seem to be kind of singing a song from the Wizard of Oz - Ding dong, the asshole's dead. -
A Friendly? Welcome Back, and September Brings Trouble
Lee Wilson posted new chapter in The Clinton Boys Head South
The three of them walked into the school together, Craig on one side of Ed, George on the other. Craig was well known in the school. Not the toughest guy, but at six foot eight, even only slightly stocky, the starting center for the Clinton Dragons varsity basketball team still presented an imposing profile. Craig had his left arm over Ed's shoulder. Craig's message was clear to everybody they passed. Fuck with Ed, you fucked with me too. That message spread through the school like a California- 20 comments

Meeting the Dad, and Ed Visits a Psychiatrist
Lee Wilson commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Meeting the Dad, and Ed Visits a Psychiatrist
The hook has been baited, now to toss the line into the water. Well, after a different sequel occurs; I think. -

That’s on me. I thought I needed that interaction. I hope to spin off Ed’s story too. If it goes the way I’ve envisioned it, school wouldn’t be where it all started. -
True, I was in my early 40’s before I recognized what the real me was.

As usual, always willing to proof other’s stories. -

All true, but as I said above, it makes things more dramatic. The topic will appear again with George and Cal. -

I did try to make him the bad guy in that equation. George is smart, but we can't discount the horniness of a teen boy completely. Yes, Craig is another good guy. -

I do touch on this at Ed's trial, so you can wait to see how it was handled. True. They were appreciative of George not being graphic in his description in front of their daughter: LOL -
Never heard that, but I can believe it. I bet the employee was fired, though.

The baseball card value search should be interesting. I'm sure you've done your research, but a 1968 Topps Nolan Ryan rookie card, and a Topps 1969 Reggie Jackson are both very possible to be found in that collection, and very valuable. PSA 10, $1.6M combined, based on sales in 2020 and 2021 respectively. https://vaultedcollection.com/blogs/vaulted-blog/most-valuable-baseball-cards?srsltid=AfmBOoqfckv5lNPr7CoECPk1lIdxQtoXXz8TCXPePI4hsmf8TwGxE0rE Of course, that timeframe was around the peak time of my collecting, maybe just a tad early. I think I had pretty much the whole set of 1972's. Stupid me sold almost everything I had as a lot when I moved to Georgia. Oh, yeah. Great chapter. Bill.

You won't have to wait too long. I'm partway through the finale, chapter 18, and since I'm leaving for vacation on the 12th, I'll be speeding up the publishing schedule to every other day, so the story is finished before I leave. Expect new chapters Friday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
