Thank you. I'm trying my best 😊 Even though Josel and Zdain don't possess Might, they are still central figures in the story in many ways. Sometimes, even ordinary people can rise to become heroes.🦸♂️

Josel The formation, led by the white-robed Redeemers, moved with unwavering purpose toward the rising sun, away from the ruins of the Age of Oblivion, where blood had been spilled in the night's battle. Bound together at the center of the group walked four youths, none of whom knew their destination. Josel found it hard to walk with his hands tied behind his back, constantly stepping on the heels of Darren, who trudged ahead of him. The Redeemers kept a brisk pace, so it was a strugg

Thanks for the comment.🙂 What I wanted to convey here is that the Fallen, who worship cruel gods, are genuinely dangerous, and any encounter with them is never without risk. Even if evil deities like Nemxerdor aren't real, that doesn't diminish the fanaticism of their followers or their willingness to commit evil acts.

Very good points.👍 Jolanda has now embarked on a path of no return.😥 Time will tell how this will affect the overall plot of the story.
-
This was a truly brutal ending to the chapter. My husband wanted to censor it, but I refused 😳 Fortunately, this seems to be the most violent scene in the entire book, so I don’t think anything worse is coming. The next chapter is a bit lighter, with Josel as the point-of-view character.

Jolanda Dimalos, Andiol Empire How unjust the world was! That blasted shade commando, Renn Tauganei, had gone off on his own to follow Josel and the others. Without telling Jolanda anything! Even though she had led the conquest of Five Hills. Renn Tauganei would pay for his insolence - he would be punished severely. And Daddy! Why had he done this? Why hadn't Isendar Vargan allowed his daughter to go after Renn - that deserter! As if he thought Jolanda was just a silly little girl.

A truly captivating story.👍 While part of me would have liked the story to continue, I was nonetheless satisfied with this elegantly crafted ending. I believe Derek and Jordan wouldn't experience a very happy ending if the story went on.

@drsawzall @VBlew Thanks for your answers. It seems that Mirror of Dreams will be the chosen name.🏆 It's pretty certain that Plink won't stop scheming.😁 Encounters between characters like these will add more twists and turns to the plot as different storylines intertwine.

Thank you for your comment and advice regarding the mirror.😊 It is indeed a good point that Plink's connection to Josel and Zdain may have an impact on Franz's story🧐

Franz Everything worth seeing in Eastkeep had been quickly exhausted - there simply wasn't much to see. Aside from Paidos, Franz had never visited any other town in Andiol, so Eastkeep had come as something of a shock. One would be hard-pressed to find a more repellent hole, despite Ikarr Knobnose’s endless praise. Franz would gladly have spurred Sowthistle and galloped away from the perpetual fog-shrouded wreck of a town. Unfortunately, that wasn't an option. His father, Ikarr, and Kh

Need clarification whether a story should be tagged as Teen or Mature.

Good to know what’s behind this. It’s an unfortunate change, as it might reduce new readers’ interest in GA. On the other hand, it could bring in new members, which might lead to more likes and comments on the stories. -
For those who really want to know (and who don't mind spoileirs):
-
True. It's unlikely that Josel could ever think warmly of Mocvann, especially if he learns about her actions. Even though Josel does resemble his mother quite a bit in both appearance and temperament.
-
Thank you! ☺️ It’s certain that it will be a staggering revelation. Josel loved Idalae, whom he believed to be his mother, and if the truth comes out, it will shake the very foundation of his identity. In the next chapter, we meet Franz again.
-
Absolutely, Mocvann is a complete monster.😠 It will surely be a shock for Josel if/when he finds out who his birthmother really is. There’s probably nothing more devastating for a person than losing both their partner and children at the same time—and in such a cruel way. In the book, I wanted to show how differently people can react to such a tragedy. Avinnor escaped reality by adopting the persona of Troubadour Kharlin, whereas Marl, after a similar loss, sank into hopelessness for the rest of his life.😢

Avinnor Naldau, Grand Duchy of Malkania, year 1577 of the New Era (nearly sixteen years earlier) "That's enough playing for today," Avinnor Dannkas murmured as he reluctantly set his flute down on the oakwood table. He would have gladly played far more often, but as heir to a ducal house and father of a family, duty came first. Duties that could not be neglected. Avinnor didn't mind taking care of his family - he did so with devotion - but managing the Dannkas family's business affai

Those are good guesses.👍 In the next chapter, we will learn more about Josel's family.

@akascrubber @Seraph28 I think Anden has no choice but to obey Eistaf's orders. Eistaf certainly has the means to make sure he does. But will Anden still try to rebel? There must be a particular reason why the traitors are so keen to capture Zal. It's more than just because he is on the other side and therefore an enemy. 😬
-
Anden Darkuria, years 1563–1591 of the New Era "Anden, what is this?" Eistaf Negos asked, pursing his lips at the package Anden Telon had nervously thrust before him with trembling hands. "It's your birthday today. I thought I'd mark the occasion… I made it myself," Anden said, already feeling the flush rise to his cheeks. Why did Eistaf always have to look so annoyingly handsome? "You managed to surprise me," Eistaf chuckled, beginning to peel away the wrapping with his long f

@akascrubber The Redeemers do indeed have their own religiously motivated goals. That probably doesn't bode well for our heroes, even if their lives aren't in immediate danger. That's what Renn definitely wants. But Zdain's motives will become clear later.
-
@RainbowPhoenixWI Oh no, I'm ending up in the doghouse again! 😉 And thank you, good thing I manage to surprise you. ☺️ Now that the series isn't even halfway through, Josel and Zdain can't resolve their differences or sworn their love for each other. So I wish the readers patience from here at the back of the doghouse.
-
😀Not too soon! Renn is still very important to the story's plot.😏
-
@akascrubber The situation does indeed look bad.😓The expedition was of great importance, but it was cut short before reaching the Misty Isles. The only faint hope is that Melgy is still out there somewhere.
-
@Seraph28 Unfortunately, this is what happened, and I was unable to save Marl.😢 Renn is indeed dangerous and evil—and now Zdain is alone with him. Bad omens are in the air. At this point, the plot demanded such events. True, no one is safe from the touch of the Darkness, not even our young heroes. 😄Oh, I'll probably need to get a defense attorney. I'm afraid it will be necessary.😁

Renn A shade commando never slept too deeply. That's why Renn Tauganei snapped awake in time to sense that something was off. Just a whisper of unease - but Renn was attuned to such things. He sat up on his bedroll and threw off the blanket. The lanterns still burned, casting pale light over the room. The others were asleep. Or so it seemed - one bedroll was empty. Marl Gaidok was gone. That had to mean something. Renn quickly pulled on his boots and checked that his pistol was tu
