I'm just happy that you're excited🥰 I've been thinking that for my next book, I could publish two chapters a week, so there wouldn't be such a long gap between updates.
-
I understand your point very well.🙂 The plots of these secondary characters and villains build the story as a whole, which is why they have to be included. Franz is the POV character in the next chapter.

Mocvann Vendum, Grand Duchy of Malkania Only with great effort did she manage to suppress the rage swelling inside her. She wanted to break something - or hurt someone. Having come agonizingly close, she had failed yet again. Despite all she had sacrificed, the only damage she had inflicted was a shallow scratch on Zal. Would that be enough to kill the old man? Mocvann dared not hope too much, for Zaltarim Fizol had wriggled out of dire straits before. The events at Castle Cache had

@RainbowPhoenixWI Thank you for your kind words. I think that as the story progresses, there will be new reasons to put me in the dog house😬😁 In a few more chapters, we'll be about halfway through this third book, so the plot will start to pick up speed.🙉 Renn really deserves to be punished. Let's see if I can fulfill the readers' wishes in that regard.👻👹

@drsawzall Renn and Jolanda – what a lovely romantic couple😄😅Unfortunately, Renn isn't interested in women, so he continues to pursue Zdain. Josel has matured during the journey. He still reacts impulsively to events, but he knows how to make the right choice when he has a little time to think things over. @VBlew Josel certainly didn't expect this from Zdain. Not many people can take it lightly when they find out that their best friend is in love with them. Now he has a lot to think about.💭🤔
-
@akascrubber Thanks for your comment. Let's see how it goes🙂
-
@Seraph28 True. Josel reacted impulsively to the news, as he often does. But he now has time to think about it calmly. When we meet the boys next time, we will definitely return to the subject.😺 It's also certain that Renn won't give up easily.😨

Josel Life on the trail had its perks, sure - but Josel was starting to feel the drawbacks piled up far higher. One of the worst? Laundry. Melgy had made it perfectly clear: the boys were responsible for their own clothing. Just as firmly, she had pointed out that their clothes reeked. So now, Josel crouched by a small, sparkling stream, grumbling under his breath as he scrubbed his underwear against a rock, hoping to get them even remotely clean. No wonder the clothes stank. They had

It's very likely. Still, I try to surprise my readers.😁
-
Really good points. I agree with that. 😄
-
Yes, dual-POV chapters are coming in the future as well. If a chapter would otherwise be short, I often combine two POVs. That said, we still don't know the scarred man's motives. He did, however, help Zal against Mocvann and the dreaders.

Vargan has big goals, but is he really prepared for all the risks involved? Only time will tell. The boys are currently facing many threats from various sources. Let's wish them luck!😬
-
@Seraph28 Thanks for your comment! 🥰 Berron Rigailon is an example of how even good people can sometimes stray onto the wrong path. He is now paying for his mistake. Vargan has a high opinion of himself and believes that he can control everything around him. Speaking of Josel and Zdain, in the next chapter Josel returns to POW.🙂

Isendar Dimalos, Andiol Empire Everything had gone well so far - not brilliantly, but well enough for Isendar Vargan. And everything would continue that way, as long as Morth Lefretz stayed obediently in line. So far, there were no signs of trouble. Isendar Vargan stood beside Lefretz in the grand hall of the Shadow Cross headquarters, watching the man's pudgy fingers glide across a sheet of parchment. The leader of the Shadow Cross received an enormous number of letters from al

Just like @Seraph28 and @Philippe said, I don’t think Noah is a bad person either. Honestly, I feel sorry for him; we’re kind of getting to the point where it’s starting to look like the others are bullying him.🧐He’s definitely made mistakes, but what 14-year-old hasn’t? I wonder if he even has any friends left at school if Nick decides to break off their relationship. Maybe I’ll join Team Noah.🤨
-
@drsawzall It wouldn't be fun if the rest of the journey were uneventful.😉Just wait and see...
-
@Seraph28 True, Josel has some difficult personality traits. Nevertheless, Zdain likes him❤️ @akascrubber Good observations. Unfortunately, Renn can be very charming when he wants to be, and even Bartos doesn't understand the danger. Yes, now it's easier to understand why Marl is the way he is.😟
-
Yes, Bartos is perceptive. Franz would certainly notice Zdain's infatuation, too, but he wouldn't take it so lightly. Josel, on the other hand, is quite self-centered and doesn't pay much attention to other people's gestures or expressions. Of course, no secret can last forever😉

Bartos Somewhere in the Grand Duchy of Malkania Setting up the tents took time, and by the time they finally sat down to eat, evening had already fallen. Fortunately, the meal Melgy had prepared was as good as one could hope for under camp conditions. After eating, the whole group sat in a circle around the campfire, bellies full, soaking in the quiet solitude of the open land. It had been a long ride, but for some reason Bartos wasn't tired yet. It was as if settling into sleep requ

@Philippe Thank you for your comment, and in such a fun poetic form! It's nice to have new readers.☺️

The world and story were built in a fascinating way. Even though the ending was dark, I really enjoyed it. It's a shame that the main character and his beloved died, because I think you could have continued the story and made it into a multi-chapter adventure. I'd love to read more about the world of the story😊
-
That character description is very accurate. We will see more of that side of Franz as the story unfolds.😏 Thanks.🙂 Just a few more chapters and we'll reach a turning point in the book, where events will truly shake things up.
-
😅I asked him. He said Franz is naive and full of himself.😃
-
My husband / co-writer doesn’t like Franz at all—he finds him annoying.😄 You’ve described the boys’ personality differences really well. That’s exactly how I've tried to create them. In that sense, it’s believable that they’re close friends despite their differences, because as you said, their personalities complement each other. Unlike in adulthood, as children it’s easier to connect with people who are very different from you—and still become friends, often for life.😺 Here’s the answer to whether Darren will become a point-of-view character. I’ve hidden it for now, in case any readers want to avoid spoilers entirely:

Thank you very much @Seraph28! Comments like these encourage me to continue. This chapter marks a turning point in Franz's story. He may not be the most likeable character, but he is one of the most important for the story as a whole. The next chapter will be released again next Thursday.🕊️ Then we will return to the expedition with Bartos as narrator.
