    Chapter 24

@Madii Thank you so much!☺️ I’ve tried to design the structure of the story so that the plot threads involving different characters gradually weave together. In the end, many things are connected, and not everything is necessarily what it first seems. When I started writing this story, I toyed with the idea that its world could be our Earth in some distant future. The Oblivion destroyed almost everything, and even the continents changed shape as parts of the world were submerged in a great flood. Perhaps it could be that the same catastrophe has struck Earth at regular intervals, forcing humanity to start over almost from scratch each time. On the other hand, the story could just as well take place in a kind of alternate reality—one that’s quite similar to our own. Maybe it doesn’t really matter. I wanted to leave that open in the end, for the reader to decide. Good point about the gym. I think it’s believable that an active boy like Josel would spend time doing sports, and Zdain too, since his father has demanded perfection from him both in school and on the athletic field. It’s also clear that, as a shade commando, Renn has to maintain his physical fitness. Josel can’t help his nature, but I think he’s already matured along the way. At least in my eyes, Josel in Book 1 was more childish than Josel now, halfway through Book 3. Maybe he’s slowly starting to understand himself better and reflect on things he previously didn’t grasp or didn’t want to think about. You’re absolutely right about those grammar mistakes. There are indeed quite a few in the early part of the series. However, I feel I’ve gradually improved at writing in English while working on this. That’s why I’ve started correcting errors and clumsy expressions from the beginning of the story, progressing slowly from the start of Book 1 onward. It’s fun to get feedback from another Finnish person.😊 I hope you will to read all the way to the end of the story.🙂

    Chapter 24

Melgy can be vicious.😀 You definitely don’t want to make her angry. At the very least, the Fallen, the traitors, and the dreaders should stay out of her way.🙉

    Chapter 24

@akascrubber @drsawzall Time will tell how things turn out. Usually, though, in this story nothing comes easily for the heroes, and new challenges keep appearing.😄 The next chapter has two narrators: first Danae, and then a completely new character.😺

    Chapter 24

@Seraph28 "Old harpy" is a very fitting term to describe Melgy😁 Deep down, she cares about other people, but she’s unable to express it. That’s largely due to the harsh experiences she’s been through. Randalos is an unpleasant character. He’s an example of how people aren’t always clearly on the side of good or evil—quite often, they fall somewhere in between and primarily look out for their own interests.
  5. Melgyera Somewhere in southern Malkania She felt cold. That was the first thing she noticed. Cold... and wet. Melgyera lay on her stomach, pressed against something damp and unyielding. She cracked open her eyelids. It was daytime... or morning light. Moss and stone beneath her. Wet moss. Why? Everything in her head was a blur... Melgyera tilted her neck and tried to shift into a better position - "Ahhh!" she cried out in pain. A sharp pain sliced through her thigh, as if

    Chapter 23

Let's see how it goes. Bartos has abilities that could greatly help his friends and Zal. However, this also puts him in a whole new kind of danger. 🧙‍♂️🫤

    Chapter 23

Let's see what happens. Maybe I'll surprise you all.😉
  8. Lupus

    Chapter 23

Thank you. I'm trying my best 😊 Even though Josel and Zdain don't possess Might, they are still central figures in the story in many ways. Sometimes, even ordinary people can rise to become heroes.🦸‍♂️
  9. Josel The formation, led by the white-robed Redeemers, moved with unwavering purpose toward the rising sun, away from the ruins of the Age of Oblivion, where blood had been spilled in the night's battle. Bound together at the center of the group walked four youths, none of whom knew their destination. Josel found it hard to walk with his hands tied behind his back, constantly stepping on the heels of Darren, who trudged ahead of him. The Redeemers kept a brisk pace, so it was a strugg

    Chapter 22

Thanks for the comment.🙂 What I wanted to convey here is that the Fallen, who worship cruel gods, are genuinely dangerous, and any encounter with them is never without risk. Even if evil deities like Nemxerdor aren't real, that doesn't diminish the fanaticism of their followers or their willingness to commit evil acts.

    Chapter 22

Very good points.👍 Jolanda has now embarked on a path of no return.😥 Time will tell how this will affect the overall plot of the story.

    Chapter 22

This was a truly brutal ending to the chapter. My husband wanted to censor it, but I refused 😳 Fortunately, this seems to be the most violent scene in the entire book, so I don’t think anything worse is coming. The next chapter is a bit lighter, with Josel as the point-of-view character.
  13. Jolanda Dimalos, Andiol Empire How unjust the world was! That blasted shade commando, Renn Tauganei, had gone off on his own to follow Josel and the others. Without telling Jolanda anything! Even though she had led the conquest of Five Hills. Renn Tauganei would pay for his insolence - he would be punished severely. And Daddy! Why had he done this? Why hadn't Isendar Vargan allowed his daughter to go after Renn - that deserter! As if he thought Jolanda was just a silly little girl.

    Chapter 1

A truly captivating story.👍 While part of me would have liked the story to continue, I was nonetheless satisfied with this elegantly crafted ending. I believe Derek and Jordan wouldn't experience a very happy ending if the story went on.

    Chapter 21

@drsawzall @VBlew Thanks for your answers. It seems that Mirror of Dreams will be the chosen name.🏆 It's pretty certain that Plink won't stop scheming.😁 Encounters between characters like these will add more twists and turns to the plot as different storylines intertwine.
  16. Lupus

    Chapter 21

Thank you for your comment and advice regarding the mirror.😊 It is indeed a good point that Plink's connection to Josel and Zdain may have an impact on Franz's story🧐
  17. Franz Everything worth seeing in Eastkeep had been quickly exhausted - there simply wasn't much to see. Aside from Paidos, Franz had never visited any other town in Andiol, so Eastkeep had come as something of a shock. One would be hard-pressed to find a more repellent hole, despite Ikarr Knobnose’s endless praise. Franz would gladly have spurred Sowthistle and galloped away from the perpetual fog-shrouded wreck of a town. Unfortunately, that wasn't an option. His father, Ikarr, and Kh
  18. Good to know what’s behind this. It’s an unfortunate change, as it might reduce new readers’ interest in GA. On the other hand, it could bring in new members, which might lead to more likes and comments on the stories.

    Chapter 20

For those who really want to know (and who don't mind spoileirs):
  20. Lupus

    Chapter 20

True. It's unlikely that Josel could ever think warmly of Mocvann, especially if he learns about her actions. Even though Josel does resemble his mother quite a bit in both appearance and temperament.
  21. Lupus

    Chapter 20

Thank you! ☺️ It’s certain that it will be a staggering revelation. Josel loved Idalae, whom he believed to be his mother, and if the truth comes out, it will shake the very foundation of his identity. In the next chapter, we meet Franz again.
  22. Lupus

    Chapter 20

Absolutely, Mocvann is a complete monster.😠 It will surely be a shock for Josel if/when he finds out who his birthmother really is. There’s probably nothing more devastating for a person than losing both their partner and children at the same time—and in such a cruel way. In the book, I wanted to show how differently people can react to such a tragedy. Avinnor escaped reality by adopting the persona of Troubadour Kharlin, whereas Marl, after a similar loss, sank into hopelessness for the rest of his life.😢
  23. Avinnor Naldau, Grand Duchy of Malkania, year 1577 of the New Era (nearly sixteen years earlier) "That's enough playing for today," Avinnor Dannkas murmured as he reluctantly set his flute down on the oakwood table. He would have gladly played far more often, but as heir to a ducal house and father of a family, duty came first. Duties that could not be neglected. Avinnor didn't mind taking care of his family - he did so with devotion - but managing the Dannkas family's business affai
  24. Lupus

    Chapter 19

Those are good guesses.👍 In the next chapter, we will learn more about Josel's family.
  25. Lupus

    Chapter 19

@akascrubber @Seraph28 I think Anden has no choice but to obey Eistaf's orders. Eistaf certainly has the means to make sure he does. But will Anden still try to rebel? There must be a particular reason why the traitors are so keen to capture Zal. It's more than just because he is on the other side and therefore an enemy. 😬
