Very good points. The Blue Moon has lost its grip and forgotten what it was founded for. And indeed - we shall hear more of Doptus Salvort later. If you ask Melgy, certainly not Josel and Zdain 😁 Faceless' plans are as elusive as its appearance. At the same time, it fears Zal, but is also drawn to kill him.

"Brothers and sisters! The Gods have placed our people on this barren continent because they sensed fiery faith and humility in us. We biyranths are the harbingers of holiness, the selfless servants of the Darkness. Soon a gate will open for us righteous ones, beyond which lies eternal abundance. The time has come. The old world must die so that a new and better one can arise from within. But this time only for believers! The sinners will meet their end. Grozavok will impale them and dish t

Yeah. It's easy to guess that the group dynamic would change with Zdain and Danae around. 😎
-
I think people will start asking more questions about Ben and where he comes from. Ben will play a very important role in this fantasy world, but I don't know what it is yet. Maybe we'll hear more about what's bothering Nari soon.

Glad to know you've been waiting for the boys to get together again. I have a few thoughts on that, but I'll leave them unsaid for now. Let's just say that everything has a purpose. 😉 Darren's song somehow broke the ice and even more important were Danae's words afterwards. We'll see how things develop between them. They come from such different worlds, it won't be easy.

Danae Five Hills, Andiol Empire The hotel they were staying in was immaculate in every way, and even a quality-conscious Aunt Anibella would probably have accepted it as a place to stay. Danae's problem was not the hotel, but the fact that she was bored to death. It had been two nights since Berron Rigailon had left, and Bartos was beginning to worry. Danae - and probably Darren too - had done their best to reassure Bartos and come up with sensible reasons why his father was taking l

Chapter 4: Through the Forest
Lupus commented on PrismaFox's story chapter in Chapter 4: Through the Forest
The boys' discussion is fun to read. I hope Nari doesn't see Ben as a burden. I think Ben will have to play the role of hero as the adventure progresses. -
@akascrubber @drsawzall Thank you for your comments. Let's see what happens. Sometimes even the bad guys' plans go wrong. Let's hope so. 🧐

Beautiful boys like Zdain hardly get any breaks. At least not from eager men 😁

“The mythology of the Darkurian gods is undeniably rich, breathtakingly interesting and downright creepy. No other known religion is based on the assumption that the deities they worship are inherently evil. Grozavok brings the war, Blahaazsa is the lord of disgusting sexual rites, Nalvajda has the virtues of intrigue and villainy. Halbadah's followers draw their power from nightmares and delusions, while the disease-spreading Chatramar bathes his devotees in sewage. Perhaps the most outrag

Chapter 2: The Boy from Nowhere
Lupus commented on PrismaFox's story chapter in Chapter 2: The Boy from Nowhere
I've been looking for a good fantasy adventure to read. I think I've found it now 😉 A very intriguing start, I really like the atmosphere of the story. Hopefully this will be a long story. -
A good guess. He certainly has plans in that direction too, but we'll see how it goes 😉 By the end of this second book, we'll know more about what's going on in Dimalos.
-
@akascrubber Rezak's actions will have an effect on this story. And indeed, Zdain's brother is his adjutant. This is where more political intrigue comes into the story. But I won't forget Zdain and Josel.

Rezak Marshal General Rezak Vondau winced, cursing his carelessness. He had allowed himself to get lost in his thoughts again, in the distant past of life in Camp Eighteen and on the fields of the Never-Ending War. A time when he had been a mere Rezak, not the mighty marshal general. It was long ago and everything had changed, including him. There was not much left of the shy and humble boy from the Wintry North he had once been. Rezak had not only changed himself, he had been transfor

At least there is no hatred between Josel and Zdain anymore.☺️ But how far things will go between them remains to be seen. Friendship is precious, but Zdain clearly wants more. But as we've seen with these boys, things are often not so simple.😄
-
@akascrubber @drsawzall Exactly. Zdain is very insecure about everything right now - himself, his situation in Castle Cache, and his relationship with his parents. Luckily, he has Josel for a friend. And yes, Plink deserves a lesson. It's a tricky situation and I don't know how Zdain will get out of it - or do I?😉 In the next chapter, we return to Marshal General Rezak Vondau in Dimalos.

Zdain "Josel! Zdain!" Andreuz Sandkan's exclamation was not only one of surprise, but also a clear rebuke, as the guards sent by Lugas Bahrall brought the eavesdroppers before the council. Zdain was mainly pushed by one of the guards. Josel, who struggled against them, was dragged between them by the collar of his shirt and by his arms. The blond boy raged and wriggled in the men's grip, but there was nothing he could do about it. They had been caught very soon after the sneeze, a

@akascrubber @drsawzall The council has shown its arrogance and inflexibility. The situation does not look good for Zal, and soon it may not look good for the boys either. At this point, there is more than a third of this second book left, so there is still a lot to come. And after that, of course, books 3, 4, 5 - and who knows, maybe a couple of sequels after that, if there are readers 🪶🫶

I'm also asking about the Member Ranks. I reached the first six levels very quickly, but the distance between Journeyman Scribe and Adept Scribe is much longer. I wonder if there is any information on how many points it takes to reach each level? This Member Rank system is really fun though, and encourages you to be active here in GA.😎

Zdain "Are you sure this is a good idea?" Zdain Monteilon whispered to the blond boy, who beckoned him to follow. "I have nothing but good ideas," Josel replied, with a winning smile. Although Zdain felt a little leery, he couldn't resist that smile. He silently cursed his weakness for cute boys and crawled after Josel into the darkness. Earlier that morning, Andreuz Sandkan had told them that Zal and his comrades were to be questioned by the Great Council. The boys had immed

That's right, everyone is focusing on the wrong things. Dareis and Elyssa are only looking out for their own interests. The Blue Moon doesn't want to admit that Zal is right. And the Emperor does absolutely nothing. As a result, the Shadow Cross and far more dangerous forces are left to carry out their plans in peace.😬
-
@akascrubber Exactly. Zdain's parents are not nice people. But I'm having fun writing about them, so we'll meet Elyssa and Dareis again 😄 In the next chapter we're back at Castle Cache and Zdain is the narrator.

Elyssa Dimalos, Andiol Empire Elyssa Monteilon flicked back the strands of hair that had escaped behind her earlobe. A quick glance in the mirror told her everything was as it should be. The reflection showed a brown-haired woman, now in her forties, but still stunningly beautiful. Elyssa was wearing an open-necked light blue dress that accentuated the curves of her slim but feminine body. She used - or had used - only the best and most expensive tailors in Paidos and never compromis

Perhaps 😀 Certain elements belong in a fantasy story, even if they are sometimes a bit clichéd. I always try to advance the characters' own stories and the overall plot of the series at the same time.

@akascrubber Thank you for your comment. Franz has already had two dreams about the same mysterious tower. Maybe it means something 😨
