  1. Unfortunately I have to be the first to vote for "Yes, and I still am. With no hopes of my love ever being returned." When I met him, I was his 'babysitter.' He was too old for one then anyway, but it made his mommy feel better. Well, we became friends. Over time, I...fell for him. I tried desperately to not fall for him. I came out to him at some point and he was ok with it, but he was sure to point out he's straight (which I already knew). I still love him, even though it has been months since I've seen him. I think I always will love him. I mean, he's the first person I can say I love. I really love him. Not a crush, not lust. Even now I still think of him as I wake up, as I fall asleep, at random points in the day. Only now it brings a sadness along with the in love feeling. I guess I'll be "over" him eventually, but not yet.
  2. I think I have to disagree with...well...everyone! Have you ever heard an Icelandic boy speak? I melt! I've not heard much from an Icelandic woman though. That and a South African accent. It is almost British, I think. Never truly compared the two. Although I'm loving and learning my French, I don't find the French accent verry attractive for some reason. Oh, and did I mention Canadian, eh? Ontario area, I dont know about your accent areas. Only the word "eh" though. The rest of it is too upper-midwestern to seem like an accent to me. The Newfies make my head spin though. A great website to listen to these accents courtesy of Geore Madison University: http://accent.gmu.edu/ This one is specially for Ieshwar: Click!
  3. I guess I almost missed the point of this thread. Why to post? Well, I post for two main reasons: To seek help and to help others. The latter not so much, but I do try. I admit, I do myself look for basic spelling and grammar. I do not claim to be an expert, but wen ppl type liek this wit no caps or punctuation it relly maks me mad dosnt it u Well, I would like to share my thoughts on some stories, and now that I'm more comfortable here I might do that - if I can find time to read some stories! I've fallen so far behind. Editors are wonderful, yes? I think I'd be pretty decent at being an editor, well, at least a beta-reader. If I had time. Well, I don't think that I write terribly. I do not think I'll ever have a following quite like Dom's or some of the other authors, but if I could force myself to rite I think I could do okay. What I write is good, but it is never a whole story. I...erm...I'm actually planning on going to a gay nightclub soon. But I need to buy something to wear! Maybe then I'll be two up on you . While this is true, part of me doesn't let me talk about things I'm not sure about. I guess I'm afraid of being wrong. I do try to learn through the discussions, but I feel akward posting. Maybe I'll give it a try. Aw, well shucks!
  4. Another round of congratulations to Canada! A well played game! Unfortunately the USA forgot they had to play a game and ended up doing ice dancing. It is not all that hard, a bit like football (soccer).
  5. Ooh, I always root for the habs! Well, except when they play the wings, then I'm conflicted. Though I would have preferred a USA win, congrats to Canada, I hope they win the gold! (Losing to the best is better than losing to the second best )
  6. Hmm, ok, I guess I might have some valuable input in this thread, since I'm a fairly new member and I'm feeling kind of akward trying to become involved. Yes, the clic thing really gets to me. Although this is probably from personal experiences on another forum. The inside jokes kind of overwhelm on many forums - its not an issue here though, but it is part of the whole clic system. Well, I am not afraid of being caught on a
  7. Me too. I've actually just made this mistake. Today in fact was when he finally said "Dude, I'm straight." I almost died. There's no way this guy is straight, you should have seen the way he acted the first time I asked him out! Giggling, blushing, an "I don't know." So I finally say "Are you going to go on a date with me or not?" Heh, he's 'straight.' Anyway, I say yes. I would date someone in the closet, in fact I'm still working on the guy from above.
  8. I call them fries, I work at a McDonald's (unfortunately), so that is what they are called. Tater tots are kinda gross, but if they are baked not fried they are ok to eat. Take a slice of fresh tomato, put some cottage cheese on top and then drizzle some low-fat italian dressing on. Yum! (Pepper to taste!) Oh yummy! Edamame is very good - and to think McDonald's was the first place I ever ate it ("Asian" Salad).
  9. Where is everyone? Well, I can't speak for anyone else but I'm at work or sitting in front of the phone making excuses to not call him. What do I like about this site? Well, I like that even though I don't post often, when I do post my post counts. Welcome I'm sure you'll love it here.
  10. Oh yes, this one was very good.
  11. Well, I used to think

  13. Well, sure I'd date a gay man. I'd even date a straight man if he was cute enough (of course I'd have no expectations for him though!). I've fairly wide restrictions on who I'd date. If you can't walk, can't talk I won't date you (i.e. babies and some geriatrics - not handicapped people). Hair is always a plus too
  14. OK, not actually having done the math I was quite disappointed, but since AFriendlyFace pointed out that most would in fact date a bi guy I've breathed a sigh of relief. I guess what I did is I took my personal experience with a few gay guys and then sterotyped the whole community. Kind of like what some guys have pointed out here, that they were hurt by a bi guy, and they refuse to go back. Just one question, ever been hurt by a gay guy? The answer is probably yes, they just didn't go to a woman. I understand there is some extra bad feelings that goes along with a bi guy going back to a woman. He left me for a woman? or Something was so wrong between us I turned him off guys? My ex-girlfriend and I had to sit down and talk about this after we broke up. I harbour no hard feelings towards the guys that said they would not date a bi guy, it is a personal choice. But I bet if the right bi guy came along you'd think twice. If not, your loss. Some of us are pretty cool
  15. I've put off reading this thread for the whole day because I thought it would look like this. I guess my views are best expressed through
  16. The nose? Well, could be worse for your mom! Hope you've thought it through, and then relish being 18 finally. Though suprising your mum might not be the best idea. Did you ever ask for one before you were 18? Stud>ring IMO.
  17. I guess I'll add one here! It's not as good a oblivate though. Fludgermuffins
  18. Farve is my hero. I grew up with him, and I always hope he wins. Dallas is not my favourite team, I'm not a big fan of any Dallas sports teams. Detroit, that's where the game's at! (Go Lions?)

  20. Oh my. So many to choose from! I'd have to say the Airbus A300-600ST Super Transporter "Beluga." Usually it carries parts for smaller planes, but it can be chartered, as CNES has done, and for the ISS. What's your favourite soup?
  21. Pluto. I don't care what those silly astronomers say, 'tis a planet! What is your favourite day of the week?
  22. Den Jeg Er - Nicolai Umm, yes. Dutch music from an American, I had a friend point me to Nicolai and I quite like him.

  24. Despite being born and raise in the United States, I tend to use "colour." I don't know when I started using it, but I get a lot of flak about it! Although
