  1. In ten years (31) I will be in Chicago, working for a graphic design firm making much more than I spend, but only a moderate/good salary (50 000 - 60 000). I will be moving from a tiny studio apartment to a small three bedroom apartment and car shopping for my second new car ever because my Mazda will be off warranty. The reason for the move is because I'm applying to be an adoptive parent and "adequate space" is required. I'll be filing my application in the hopes of being approved even though I'm single. Though flexible work hours benefit this application. In fifteen years (36) I will have two kids. One boy and probably another boy, but possibly a girl. I'll be just starting the teen years with one of my boys, the other will want to be just like his big brother. I'll be at wit's end with them, but I'll be one of the most valued members at my design firm. In twenty years (41) I'll have a child getting ready to graduate and go off to university, one around driving age. Eek. I'll still be working at the design firm earning around the same salary. Heh, I wish. Though the perfect scenario has a hubby in there somewhere, probably around 10 years.
  2. Is this a trick question? When I worked until midnight I often stayed up until 2-2:30 playing video games. Is that really bad though since I slept till 11 and then had class at noon? I love video games, but I am by no means an addict. I'm usually in bed by 11, tired wins over video games...now that I work regular office hours.
  3. My sister was on a swim team. They had two practices a day, except Sunday. One in the am before school, one in the pm after school (early afternoon on Saturday). Usually one practice per week (at least) is "dry-lands," where the coaches basically attempt to kill you on dry land instead of drowning you. Practices in the am were usually 60 minutes, in the pm they were 120-150 minutes. Weeks with meets generally saw shorter pm practices. Yes there is travel involved, though not every school has a competition-ready pool. Meets happened on Tuesdays in her league, but my cousin had them on a different day.
  4. Does this mean I have to stop flirting with 'Cia?

  6. Fable also allows for gay relationships and marriage. About 1 in man in every town will marry you if your court them. One even openly flirts with you first. I don't know about Fable 2 though. I've never played DA:O, I might have to check it out. Ofcoz the Sims rocks for gay relationships, but the game gets very repetitive.
  7. Oh, I know they offer an MA in creative writing. Strange they don't have an undergraduate program. Sorry. Good luck.
  8. Rock isn't really my thing as I like bubblegum and boy bands, however I can offer two suggestions. I don't know any of what has been previously mentioned. - ГлюкозаNot exactly rock, but it's not bubblegum or boy band. (Russian) Lazarus- Porcupine Tree This is my favourite song of theirs, but they have other more traditional rock ones too.
  9. I kinda agree with Nephy, however Russia said it had a failed experimental rocket launch, which is also a logical explanation. Edit: spelling
  10. 'Gratz on Bolton. It's not on your short list, but my aunt teaches ethics at Exeter, which is on the larger list. 5th in UK for English according to The Times Good University Guide 2010. They offer undergraduate and postgraduate.
  11. My stylist's name is Cherish. I love her, I just tell her to have fun every time I sit down and I always look great leaving. So, salon. I used to do a barber, but I never looked cute, just okay.
  12. Haha, nice. Those are all great, but this French one remains my favourite. "My mom said I could!" The last line: "Mom, can I put the cat in the washing machine?"
  13. I just wanted to say bravo for knowing that. Canceling any line of credit, even with a balance due of zero, damages your credit score. Also, paying off loans early
  14. I'm not really into Christmas Movies, but I'll try a few. [*] Millions (2004) - Not exactly a Christmas movie, but it takes place during that time and is influenced by it and the giving nature of the season.[*]A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) - I agree, classic. They sell fake Charlie Brown trees now.[*]How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966) - Like W.L., it lost appeal as I aged but I still remember it fondly.[*]Home Alone
  15. This hello thread is awkward enough for me to poke my head in. Welcome. Oh wait, you're only 15? That ruins all the fun. Oh well, Cammy will just have to get the dirty jokes I intended for you.
  16. Slightly better news on my side of the pond. I know about 30 people that have gotten the vaccine, and only one has gotten ill from it. Took about 24 hours for her to get ill. The others had no negative reaction and, to my knowledge, are flu-less. My office was offered the vaccine at no charge, since I work for the government. Appointments filled up in a few hours. I don't know if anyone in my building has gotten the flu. I will not get the vaccine, I never get them. Swine flu is overrated. ZOMG PANIC TEH FLU! Edit for more info.

There's no option that says "no." I would be just fine without them, though they are handy. I like black forest ham and turkey with pepperjack cheese, lettuce, red onion, banana peppers with olive oil and vinegar and a dash of pepper on a nice Italian bread. In fact, that's my lunch today! I don't know if it's my favourite, but I get it every thursday from Subway as a $5.50 footlong so it can serve as my lunch and dinner since I am away from home for 13.5 hours and packing two meals is a pain in the rear. I think I may try it with mustard en lieu de olive oil and vinegar today.
  18. Well, at first I thought I was a fraud. This second page leads me to believe I may just be unique. I wonder which it is. Honestly, I think it is unfair to judge based on text on a page like this. Otherwise one could easily label me a fraud.
  19. I had a tooth removed, not a wisdom tooth, just a tooth. I freaked out, I was 12 or something. I wouldn't let the dentist do it in the chair, they had to put my fully under. Got a nice chunk of change from the tooth fairy. There are people I'd be willing to donate to currently, at least partial donations ya know. One kidney, partial liver, etc. However, the need has, thankfully, never arisen. When I die I'll donate whatever I can, help someone I don't know out, if my organs are worthwhile. One question, how can you donate a brain?
  20. I just need a good teacher.
  21. I got my new Mazda3 recently. Velocity red. Zoom-zoom. ^.^ Bye bye Isuzu Rodeo :'( Tom, can I drive the Kenworth please please please?
  22. 10F, cold. 32F, technically freezing but not that bad. 48F, not too bad. 72F, too warm, but ok. Chose too hot, but reconsidering. 68F is ideal. 100F, hot.
