I'm not sure I could agree with you more. There is a good feeling that comes with the piece of plastic and tin (or whatever metal it is...) Plus the smell, oh my. New CD smell is so good. Erm, yes, I am strange. However, I do pirate. I download a song or two, even a whole CD. Then I try to find the CD. That is, however, difficult since I like many European artists and I'm stuck here in the States. I search E-bay and Amazon weekly for artists that I have the illegal mp3s for. I actually just found one recently on Amazon, and I'm so glad I bought the CD. It sounds better legal. Movies, I do not pirate movies. TV shows, only one, and it was actually my dad that pirated it. I watched it though... Software, I admit, I have pirated some graphics software, but I cannot afford to

International adoptions recently have gotten a lot of press, especially with adoptions by Angelina Jolie. True, there are many children in less fortunate countries with no families and a tattered orphanage system. However there are also many children in your country that also have no families. So,

There were a lot of special circumstances, if I recall correctly he had regular contact with the child.

I think I am mostly on the same page as AFriendlyFace. Yes I want kids. More than anything. Caring for another life is what I think is the greatest thing anyone can do, and I want to do it too. It would be nice to have support, but I'm not going to depend on having it. I'll fufill my life's goal with or without a partner. I will adopt, there are plenty of children already born that need to be loved. I think two is my limit though. Boys or girls?

I would. Incest is not something that particularly turns me on, but I don't mind it. So long as it is consentual, I don't see anything wrong with it. Like

Eternally single I posted a card to my friend in Warsaw, with some horribly broken Polish. The card was great though, very dirty and all in jest. My valentine is my sister, I got her a silly little card. My real plan is to get a card to someone I'm not over yet. Just a "friends" card though, anything more would freak him out more than I already have. I'm also changing the oil of my suv. She's my real valentine.

Since your location seems to be fairly warm, as suggested above a picnic/park visit would be a great option. Sometimes your city or county will have special nature trails/city walks. My town has a "Riverwalk" that runs along a major river through various parks and parts of town, for example. Look in the phone book or call your parcs and rec office to find one! Walk one way, take a bus home, walk both ways...whatever. If walks and nature aren't usually your thing, if questioned about being cheap you could always remind that it is a good way to get some alone time, as is your goal. Perhaps even an evening stroll to give it a more date-like feel. Holding hands and slowly strolling down a pretty pathway at dusk is probably the best date you could ever take me on. I'm sure many

Well, math has its own language. There's sine, cosine, tangent, etc for trig, and don't get me started on calc! And of course

Well, I just got my microphone set up. But I can't always talk freely. It was funny seeing my old vent setup with the videogame servers I used to play at on the server list! Edit: Correction, I just destroyed my microphone. =(

For me, only English and French, though I do plan on learning more. No, I wouldn't use an international forum, as everyone here speaks English, and like Menzo said, I think that mostly only people that speak English would stumble

My my, poor Hylas! We're all allowed a folly or two, but when you have to struggle to find a decent post by a person, that frustrates me (you don't!). I'm sorry that

Well, several days ago I wouldn't have cared. I would have used one, but I wouldn't have cared enough to ask for one. Now I

Very true. If I were to post another poem I sure would love five or six responses, even if four of them were the same.

You know, I thought about this for a while. I realised that while I see the logic to this, someone may join a forum to get on an update list. Perhaps some people join so they can check on updates more easily. I've been known to join a forum or two to get on a mailing list, and only posted maybe twice on the forum. Oh most definately! If someone is not completely comfortable with the aspect of the personality relating to the forum (in this case gay/bi/ally), then it becomes extremely difficult to register and post. It can be very scary. I remember when I found a "BL" forum, I was very uncomfortable with that aspect of my personality.I

Well, I personally cannot give any good advice, as it depends heavily on the people and situations as aforementioned. However, one of my good friends would present to you this math formula*:

Oh my, don't get me started on Enya, I love Enya and even participate in her forum (well, used to). Lets just say there was a thread on Enya and homosexual men, and now discussing sexuality and politics is forbidden on the forum. Also I noticed Imogen Heap is generally popular as "gay music." My cousin and I love her, and when I bought her CD this gay (I'm assuming) guy was raving about her, and the woman that was checking me out gave me a little smirk. Personally though, I don't think there is a genre of music that is "gay music," just like there is not a certian dress that is "gay dress." Sure it may be stereotypical, but I don't think it should be called gay music, or gay dress. Of course I generally like what might be generalised as "gay music." I always got teased about it in high school.

I could take this quiz 5 times and each time I'd get a different answer. Like any personality quiz. That said, my results

Have you ever fallen in love with someone who is straight?
Tarin replied to Hylas's topic in The Lounge
Unfortunately I have to be the first to vote for "Yes, and I still am. With no hopes of my love ever being returned." When I met him, I was his 'babysitter.' He was too old for one then anyway, but it made his mommy feel better. Well, we became friends. Over time, I...fell for him. I tried desperately to not fall for him. I came out to him at some point and he was ok with it, but he was sure to point out he's straight (which I already knew). I still love him, even though it has been months since I've seen him. I think I always will love him. I mean, he's the first person I can say I love. I really love him. Not a crush, not lust. Even now I still think of him as I wake up, as I fall asleep, at random points in the day. Only now it brings a sadness along with the in love feeling. I guess I'll be "over" him eventually, but not yet. -
I think I have to disagree with...well...everyone! Have you ever heard an Icelandic boy speak? I melt! I've not heard much from an Icelandic woman though. That and a South African accent. It is almost British, I think. Never truly compared the two. Although I'm loving and learning my French, I don't find the French accent verry attractive for some reason. Oh, and did I mention Canadian, eh? Ontario area, I dont know about your accent areas. Only the word "eh" though. The rest of it is too upper-midwestern to seem like an accent to me. The Newfies make my head spin though. A great website to listen to these accents courtesy of Geore Madison University: http://accent.gmu.edu/ This one is specially for Ieshwar: Click!

I guess I almost missed the point of this thread. Why to post? Well, I post for two main reasons: To seek help and to help others. The latter not so much, but I do try. I admit, I do myself look for basic spelling and grammar. I do not claim to be an expert, but wen ppl type liek this wit no caps or punctuation it relly maks me mad dosnt it u Well, I would like to share my thoughts on some stories, and now that I'm more comfortable here I might do that - if I can find time to read some stories! I've fallen so far behind. Editors are wonderful, yes? I think I'd be pretty decent at being an editor, well, at least a beta-reader. If I had time. Well, I don't think that I write terribly. I do not think I'll ever have a following quite like Dom's or some of the other authors, but if I could force myself to rite I think I could do okay. What I write is good, but it is never a whole story. I...erm...I'm actually planning on going to a gay nightclub soon. But I need to buy something to wear! Maybe then I'll be two up on you . While this is true, part of me doesn't let me talk about things I'm not sure about. I guess I'm afraid of being wrong. I do try to learn through the discussions, but I feel akward posting. Maybe I'll give it a try. Aw, well shucks!

Another round of congratulations to Canada! A well played game! Unfortunately the USA forgot they had to play a game and ended up doing ice dancing. It is not all that hard, a bit like football (soccer).
-
Ooh, I always root for the habs! Well, except when they play the wings, then I'm conflicted. Though I would have preferred a USA win, congrats to Canada, I hope they win the gold! (Losing to the best is better than losing to the second best )

Hmm, ok, I guess I might have some valuable input in this thread, since I'm a fairly new member and I'm feeling kind of akward trying to become involved. Yes, the clic thing really gets to me. Although this is probably from personal experiences on another forum. The inside jokes kind of overwhelm on many forums - its not an issue here though, but it is part of the whole clic system. Well, I am not afraid of being caught on a

Me too. I've actually just made this mistake. Today in fact was when he finally said "Dude, I'm straight." I almost died. There's no way this guy is straight, you should have seen the way he acted the first time I asked him out! Giggling, blushing, an "I don't know." So I finally say "Are you going to go on a date with me or not?" Heh, he's 'straight.' Anyway, I say yes. I would date someone in the closet, in fact I'm still working on the guy from above.
