  1. Thank you @Summerabbacat for your very kind words. ❤️ I can already see these two little boys as sixteen-year-olds in another 12 years or so. It could be fun, bringing them back here to visit their 'uncles' around then. Jakey will be a handful, but that quiet one . . . they'll have to keep an eye on him for sure! As for Samantha, yes, I'm sure that she was well described in both Song For Guy and Thompsonville. She was blonde and tanned, with a carefree 'hippy' spirit, I think you will find . . .
  2. If the first visitors were going to be arriving this afternoon, Aaron and I decided we would need to really get moving once we arrived back at the house, and getting our own little space set up before someone else got in first. The spot I had suggested we pitch our tent was right near a bushy, young eucalyptus tree, about ten or twelve feet high, which I thought would give us a little shade at various times of the day. Aaron had mown all around it, so the spot seemed almost perfect to me.
  3. Feeling the love! ❤️
  4. @Lee Wilson sorry to disappoint, but, no! 😋
  5. When I finally pulled out of the airport car park I pointed the truck back towards the centre of town, following the main drag along the edge of the bay. The waters were shining, reflecting the late morning sun, and with a slight swell rolling in gentle waves onto the stone breakwalls that had been built along the bay to protect the shoreline. The hire business that Luke had asked me to visit, to collect the marquee and fold out tables and chairs for the party, was located in the industrial
  6. @Summerabbacat and there were those who were doubting Harry's honesty and integrity, eh? lol I did tell everyone he was one of the good guys, did I not? And the stories were always thought of as being a series . . . it's just that I haven't really labelled them with a title until these past few years. And as for GA, what can I say . . . they've been good to me! ❤️ MP

  17. Harbourside Media had an impressive operation, which we soon realised as Guy gave us the Five Minute Special. Behind the new administration area at the front of the old warehouse there were several studios, offices, production suites, make-up rooms and even a canteen. We met a few of the staff, who all seemed to be quite busy, while also watching a few minutes of something that appeared to be an advertisement being filmed in one of the studios. ‘We can do just about everything in-house
  18. Thanks to the late night before, I didn’t wake as early the following morning as I had on the previous days, somehow sleeping through the sunrise and the usual early morning call of the nearby rooster, wherever it was that he lived. Instead, I was rudely awoken by the sound of a lawnmower, which seemed to have started up right outside the bedroom window, jolting me awake and causing me to spew forth a barrage of expletives which I usually reserved for later in the day. Glancing at the
  19. Checked my email and saw the GA email after I saw your post this morning. Thanks for letting me know! Feeling a bit chuffed! 😉
  20. Say what? I haven't seen that yet!!!
  21. The remainder of the afternoon slipped by almost unnoticed, as the three of us sat in the shade of the trees in the backyard, discussing our plans and sipping cold drinks. Aaron stuck to soft drinks and fruit juice, and I joined him, while we managed to find some beers for Harry. At one stage when Aaron went for a pee break Harry asked what was up with my not having a beer, so I quickly explained Aaron’s situation and why he wasn’t drinking himself. Harry nodded, but said little, as Aaron w
  22. It didn’t take us long to find some shorts, t-shirts and towels and start to make our way through the scrub to the beach. I had told Harry to pack some swimming gear, just in case, and when he emerged from his room wearing a pair of blue and pink boardies and a white t-shirt I breathed a sigh of relief. Somehow, I had imagined he would be a Speedos kind of guy, so I was grateful that, on this occasion at least, I was proved wrong. I couldn’t help but smile to myself as I led the way towards
  23. Wow! Thank you all for your very thoughtful comments! Plenty of food for thought there! A lot of water will pass under the bridge between now and when the next story in the series will be completed (yes, it sort of, kind of, has been started! LOL), and while I appreciate all of your ideas, I do have some ideas of my own as to the direction this part of the story line is going to take. I can tell you this much . . . the safe house won't be in Thompsonville. I'm thinking that Macquarie Harbour is the more likely target, being a small country city with more facilities. Also, as big as Tony's heart may be, he and Aaron will want - and need - their own space, and not have a bunch of teens under their feet. At least Mac Hrbr will still be close enough for them to be hands on with the various programs. Anyhow, that's all for another story! We've got to find out how this one is going to end up first, haven't we? Thank you all so much for your support! As I've said before, it truly does mean a lot to me! ❤️
  24. @pvtguy I'm pleased that you picked up on how Harry feels about Tony. 🙂
  25. ‘All good?’ Harry asked, once I had disconnected. ‘Yeah, he’s on his way,’ I replied, to which he gave a nod. Just then our waitress came to our table carrying a basket containing the garlic bread I had ordered. ‘Someone else is going to be joining us,’ I said to her, before she had the chance to leave us. ‘Would it be possible to add another meal to our order please?’ ‘Certainly. Would you like to see a menu again?’ ‘No, that’s okay. He only asked for a salad, or someth
