  1. This is my second reading, really loved the story and just wished that we got the follow up book that was hinted at the end. Overall it does work as a stand alone tale but it definitely left questions unanswered.
  2. This is a good story if you want something fairly light and fast-paced. The book is written from the perspective of several different characters which can be confusing (a quick note to say which character was narrating would have been useful) Its not overly dramatic so a box of tissues isn't needed but the story moves on but there do seem to be some unanswered questions and I think it would have benefited from an epilogue of some sort.
  3. I know it is unlikely that the author will read this as this was posted back in 2011. I enjoyed the storyline but this is not a complete and stops just as the action ramps up. I have to presume that there was supposed to be at least another follow up book (think Harry Potter, Deathly Hallows part 1)
  4. A feel-good story that is paced well and ideal for when you need a bit of a pick me up. This is the second time reading this and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time.

A great story but it's a difficult read to be honest. If you're looking for an upbeat tale then this probably isn't for you but you do get a happy ending, although I would have loved an epilogue to catch up with them in a few years. It is a pretty scathing representation of the American fostering system and I hope that not all foster parents are like the ones portrayed in this story.
  6. Great story with engaging characters, I'm looking forward to book 2. I found the pacing perfect and it's a generally upbeat (I hope that continues)
  7. I really enjoyed the story, I have a feeling I've read it a few years before when I first joined Gay authors. The characters are engaging and I didn't expect the ending. In some ways I was a little sad that the more predictable conclusion didn't happen but I was still happy about the way it finished (I'm a sucker for a happy ending)
  8. Really enjoyed this story. The age gap thing resonated with me as my partner is just over 20 years my senior. Thank god the Mum came to the rescue to sort them out.
  9. I'm not going to lie this one is quite a hard read but do persevere. I feel in love with the Win and Tad, and although a lot of the book is quite dark their love for each other eventually gave them the strength to survive the ordeal.

  10. A great story with its share of ups and downs but the characters are beautifully written and well paced. @Bill W yet again draws you into Tony and Jordan's world where love eventually conquers all.

  11. Really liked this story, I would have liked it to be a bit longer but for a quick read it was great
  12. Really enjoyed the first two installments and was looking forward to the third. Is it still in the pipeline? I do hope so but given the amount of time that has passed I have a feeling it might not happen. I think its a great story and I loved the two main characters
  13. Fantastic tale with loveable characters and an uplifting storyline. I would have liked a little more but it was enjoyable and I didn't need my box of tissues for this one. @Bill W characters are well written and draw you into the story. I do recommend you read his other works especially "Castaway Hotel" which is a sometimes emotionally training saga.

  15. More new members for the family with more obstacles to overcome. I've really enjoyed being able to read this expansive story over the last couple of weeks and I hope we might get another installment at some point in the future.
  16. Still loving this series even though I know its coming to and end as their is just one more book to read. A villain from the past literally comes back to haunt the happy home.
