I will try to do a review without spoilers. To be honest I'm surprised that the story doesn't have more recommendations, as it's fantastic. The only reason I can think why it hasn't is that it is full of technical jargon and it could be easy to get overwhelmed by these passages. I read the story over a couple of days and sometimes I did find myself speed-reading when it got to these scientific explanations. The table at the bottom of each chapter is a real help when trying to understand the story line. I had read the "do over" series before, which I think helped me get to grips with the time-travel elements. The characters are well written and there are many plot twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. Congrats to Altimexis for conceiving an epic story, I can only imagine how difficult it must have been to weave all the strands together into a coherent narrative.

This is my second time going through the archive, I'm not sure how I missed this the first time round. It had me hooked from the first chapter, The interplay between the main characters is well written, with a narrative throughout the story that makes you want to read the next chapter immediately. So glad that it was completed when I stumbled upon it. Congrats to Andr0gene for fantastic and insightful story of love in an unconventional relationship.

TC4 — Chapter 9: Date Night
stevie437 commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC4 — Chapter 9: Date Night
Hi Brayon, I've been reading the Tampa chronicles over the last few days. I have really enjoyed them and just finished reading the last chapter. I do hope that you might find the inspiration to finish the series, although as it has been on long term hold for several years I'm not holding out much hope. I usually read pretty long stories as I like to get immersed in the characters and their world. The first in the series was only one chapter, which is why I probably overlooked it on my first foray into the archive a few years ago. I also have a thing for the mystic and supernatural, which is also why I may have missed it first time round. I love the whole paganism side and Adams insight that seems to becoming more prominent as story progresses. Thanks for your writing and I do hope that there may be a conclusion to what has been a great tale of love and friendship. -
Fantastic, I normally read much longer stories but this one was great and I was hooked from the first chapter. Adorable main characters that demonstrate that love can conquer all. Thanks for the epilogue as well, I think I fell in love with Jimmy (Dean) even more.

This was my second time reading this fantastic story. Like others have said, I would give it 6 stars if I could. It has a great combination of characters, and the story flows, making it hard to put down.

Fantastic story that I think I read a couple of years ago. It was still great on the second reading, with great characters and an engaging narrative. It feels like there should be a sequel, perhaps not concentrating on the characters in this book but the ending is definitely set up to continue the mystery of government involvement. The chapters are relatively short, which means its easy to come back to.

Great story with a cast of believable characters. It has just the right amount of highs and lows to make it interesting but without you having to reach for the tissues. The opening chapters had me gripped so I read it in a couple sittings.

Great story with a cast of well-written characters. I would have liked it to be a bit longer but I can probably say that about most of the stories I've loved. Its a feel-good story that won't have you reaching for the tissues, if you do it will be happy tears. Just what I needed to read in these difficult times

Great story with characters that are well-crafted and believable. I've seen comments asking for a sequel, I'm in two minds about that, the ending does work as the story is about the journey from despair into happiness. There are lots of strands left unanswered but that's the authors choice. In summary, great writing, well-rounded characters, and an ending with a hopeful possible future.

One of my favourites on here. The chapters are relatively short, which means you can dip in and out as the mood takes you. I was riveted and ended up staying up into the early hours to finish it one go. Likeable characters and a story line that really picks up towards the middle. My only criticism is that there hasn't been a continuation of Mark and Trey's story. Although the book ends at what seems to be a logical place there is so much that has been built into the storyline that it definitely could continue. I really hope we hear more from Trey and Mark if only an epilogue.

Episode 12: Nothing Is Certain
stevie437 commented on Cynus's story chapter in Episode 12: Nothing Is Certain
Fantastic story, although towards the end I found it a bit difficult as we lost character after character. I was hoping for a happy ending but with so many having to sacrifice themselves, it felt a little hollow. Thanks for all the hard work in this 3 book epic. -
Great story with a cast of engaging characters, As the author mentioned this is not about sex but romance and love. My only issue is this seems to be the beginning of a much longer tale. There are so many questions left unanswered, I don't know if there was supposed to follow ups but I enjoyed it anyway, even though I desperately wanted to hear what happens to the boys and their families.

Fantastic story, Loved the characters and narrative. I usually go for longer tales but this was a good length for a quicker read. SPOILER ALERT! I'm a sucker for happy endings so the final chapter had me in tears but they were happy ones.
-
Beautiful story that spans 20 years. The characters are well-rounded, especially Craig, Graham, and Button. There are some ups and downs, but overall it's a heart-warming story of family and triumph over adversity. Many thanks for your hard work.

Great story, I tend to go for longer ones but this just had enough to get my teeth into. Ideally I think it would be better if the chapters were separated so the chapter length was a bit smaller. It moves at a good pace and although there is some drama I was reaching for the tissues.
-
Second time reading this series, I love all things supernatural so this was right up my street. Each character is well written and the stories weave together to create a strong narrative. I tend to read longer stories but as these are interlinked there was plenty to get my teeth into.

God I hope nothing happens to Greg but given how many chapters are left I have a feeling he might fall by the wayside (I hope not)

Fantastic story with well written characters. I enjoy longer stories and this didn't disappoint, the pacing is just right and although there are some ups and downs on the whole its a feel good story with a fantastic epilogue.
-
I don't normally leave bad reviews and although I enjoyed the story this is not complete (even though it says it is). I don't expect the author to see this as they haven't been on the site for many years. I don't know if this was meant to be a series of books or if it has been finished and posted on another site.

I'm writing this review knowing that it is unlikely to be read by the author but it is a really great story. There are a few ups and downs, but it definitely isn't going to have you reaching for the tissues. Its a good length, not too long to seem daunting but long enough to have you invested in the characters. The epilogue is particularly good and rounds of the story giving a glimpse into the future which I always find satisfying (I wish more authors would do it). All in all its a feel good tale that has me eager to read the authors other stories.
-
Great story just wish it was a bit longer. I would have preferred a different ending but that was the authors choice. Hey what can I say i'm a hopeless romantic lol.
-
Second time reading this story, even though it took a couple a chapters before I realized. It's generally an upbeat story which I enjoy (sometimes its nice not to have too much drama). Really loved the characters and the narrative, hey I'm a sucker for a happy ending. My only issue (its a small one) is that I would have liked a longer epilogue may be set further in the future. Unless of course you were planning a follow up lol. Given that so much time has passed since this was published I'm guessing that is unlikely.

A great conclusion to "Second Shot", if you haven't read it you should before reading this.
-
A fantastic story with engaging characters. I read this over a few days, and thoroughly enjoyed it so much I only took a break when my eyes couldn't focus on the screen anymore. I was lucky that I was able to read the follow up short story straight after finishing "Second Shot" and although I still want to read more about the principal characters I do think that it brings the story to a conclusion. I'm a bit of a fan of the longer stories on here and this definitely was one of those.
