The Estate is an eerie, unsettling, twisted tale of manipulation, telling the story of the King of Cradle Grove, a.k.a. Cradle to Grave. Who will survive and who will win? Or will there be a victor?
Cilantro in eggs? Eewww, nope! Ok, I love Mexican food, but eggs are not where that herb belongs. Now, as for tea, I have become addicted to Thai tea. A good, strong treat, iced or hot, yum.
The tie, that symbol of submission to court dates, job interviews, and funerals, had been subverted. Worn sloppily, voluntarily, it now meant: I am the law here. I am with him....
Then, Rye ...wearing the King's own skin... solid, dedicated, unadulterated tributes to the King, their King.

Topher Lydon once again gifted readers with a story weaving real-life historical events with fiction so real that one can easily imagine the terrifying possibilities. Carter’s Throne is filled with an array of fascinating characters, international intrigue, political forces, both good and evil, and true heroes in a fight for life, liberty, and justice.
Hmmm, so go for a third impeachment. How is he still in office???
As an American, just the idea of someone like him in office is humiliating. Sadly, given his history (i.e., inciting the attack on our nation’s capital), it’s not at all difficult to imagine him pulling stunts like those in Carter’s Throne.
What an artist! Professor, your ability to paint scenes with words is beyond impressive. Will’s breakdown, then resurfacing as the King, was gut-wrenching.
You are not alone with the moist eyes. Ok, I’ll admit it, there were actual tears as the pilot advised arrival and requested permission to land. Then, of course, an entirely different emotion to ...and please—advise the American F-16s on our wing that their escort is neither required nor welcome. Any attempt to impede our approach will be viewed as an act of aggression against a sovereign NATO ally undertaking a humanitarian mission.
I knew with certainty this story was going to be a winner as soon as I read: The day the spray-tanned bastard down south pressed the wrong button.
In today’s political climate and the nightmares taking place in the U.S. (i.e., Google Minneapolis Ice shooting), the sane of us desperately need relief through laughter. An especially nice treat today, thank you.
Encrypted is a phenomenal, compelling read, with mystery, suspense, governmental shenanigans, hidden agendas, and familial ties not of blood but of choice, leaving the reader begging for more.
Whew, talk about action-packed! The one major downside of an excellent story is that it has to end. Oh well, hopefully we’ll see book two in the not-too-distant future.
Beyond the Threshold provides a devastating look at what some would consider a cultural norm. I found it interesting that the Mangalsutra, a sacred necklace in Hindu culture that signifies an auspicious thread, proves, for some, to be nothing more than a chain of despair and indifference, which speaks volumes about the lack of value placed on females. Oppression comes in many forms; this story highlights but one.
Girls these days can’t be trusted. What a sad commentary on the way women are viewed. And to imagine how those innocent eyes held a silent storm tears at the heart.
Thank you for sharing.
