  1. I've always thought Leaping Day should be a Holiday. It happens only every 4 years. It is quite special! Why do we not celebrate it with days off from school and work, drunkenness, and fireworks displays?
  2. Over the years, there have been many James Bond films. Of course, they all have great themes. In my opinion the latest 4 have had spectacular theme songs. I'll go in reverse order. Sam Smith has an amazing voice, and it's no surprise that he was chosen to sing a James Bond theme. The writing really is on the wall. Spectre's theme is fantastic Adele is amazing. In 2012, the self-titled theme song from Skyfall was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Alicia Key is amazing. I've been a huge fan since 2001. This is probably my least favorite of the 4 themes, but it's still good, Another Way to Die. Chris Cornell has an amazing voice for rock and metal. He is one of the best, and You Know My Name showcases his vocal talent quite well. And for the hell of it, let's throw in a classic Bond theme: Shirley Bassey "Diamonds are Forever"... I don't think she's just singing about diamonds.
  3. I heard this song on the radio yesterday, and it's been stuck in my head. I couldn't help but think about what a horn dog, the front man of this band was, and of course, he loved the men and the ladies.
  4. I think you can mention the use of condoms without ruining the romance. The good thing about writing fantasy, as I so often do, condoms are unnecessary, because STIs do not exist in my fantasy world. I had started a modern teen romance. At some point I will probably rewrite it, and the characters will, of course, use condoms. In fact, I was recently thinking of that particular story, and it might actually be necessary. We'll see. I have another project I'm going to start. It will take research, and it might end up being an epic, and it will definitely be fantasy.
  5. Thanks for the vote of confidence. It seems that the Baptists would have to burn down Amazon's distribution network to destroy the books. Arson on that scale is terrorism and mass murder, so I think the best they can do is boycott Amazon, which is also counterproductive, since Amazon is a major marketplace for Christian literature and media. Thanks by the way. Amazon even has the 1st edition, although it is rather pricey.
  6. I have a story swirling around in my head, but it covers mythology from multiple religions of the past as well as a few modern ones. While it is primarily Norse and Greek, there are elements of others as well. I want to be as genuine as possible. I want to know if anyone knows of any good reading materials on these subjects. The story involves elves, which of course are derived mostly from Norse mythology, but I find the idea of a universe in which gods of many religions exist and even have planets throughout the galaxy who still worship them. I haven't written anything major in about 5 years, mainly due to my unstable mental health, but I'm finally on a cocktail of medications that are keeping my depression and anxiety disorders stable. Of course, having a wonderful therapist and community support specialist are the real key for me. I am ready to dive into this new project. I have a beta reader already on board for the project. I won't start releasing chapters until Part 1 is finished, but I think once I get started, I won't be able to stop. Just like reading, when I find a good story to write, I just cannot put it down. Here is a list of Mythology, Creatures, and religions I need to research for the project. Norse Greek Shinto Religion Egyptian Hindu Buddhist Druidism Elves Dwarves Dragons Kitsunes

    I Quit

It's best to find a job you enjoy. I'm currently disabled, but at some point, I intend to get the training I need for the kind of work I know I will enjoy. People shouldn't settle for jobs they don't like. If you don't like what you do with 1/4 of your life, especially the part that puts money in your bank account, it's not the job for you.
  8. I have several of their songs downloaded from Amazon. The best part is, you don't have to worry about losing misplacing it. Whenever you a purchase a new computer, tablet, or other device, you can download it all again. Now for another song. My niece introduced me to this band. I actually like this song of theirs.
  9. Now you guys go and remind me of sad foreign language songs. Two Japanese songs come to mind. Spyair "Sakura Mitsutsuki" (Cherry Blossom Honeymoon). Supercell "Utakata Hanabi" (Transient Fireworks)
  10. Trivium "Until the World Goes Cold" I just heard this song on the way home on 98.9 The Rock out of Kansas City. I downloaded it on Amazon. I love it.
  11. I'm more of a lurker these days, but I'm still around.
  12. I know this song is from over a decade later, but it seems like a fitting theme song considering the title. Iggy Azalea featuring Rita Ora Black Widow I total listened to the song while reading it. I can't help but wondering if there's really a black widow in the story.
  13. Ironically enough, they do not have funerals according to Shirley Phelps-Roper. She said that they do not "worship the dead". I wonder if the real reason is that they do not want a well-deserved taste of their own medicine.
  14. He's probably being tortured as fervently as Sadaam Hussein and Adolf Hitler in the bowels of hell.
  15. Fred Phelps is dead, and the song that happens to be #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 is so fitting for the occasion.
  16. I'm cool with the street racing, but driving drunk, not so much.
  17. Well, for me, there are several that come to mind. For pop, I'll go with One Sweet Day by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men, which happens to have broken some Billboard chart records and for good reason with 16 weeks at #1. The video was taken from the day it was recorded. For rock, November Rain by Guns 'n Roses. It is, in my opinion, the greatest rock ballad of all time.
  18. Happy birthday!
  19. I have never shared my blood type. Now I will unveil it!
  20. Hey guys. This weekend's operation is called Operation Mastiff. The goals seem relatively simple this weekend. Who will join me? I need two people for Silver matches, and I already have a Level 20 Male Quarian Engineer (the one I will most likely use) and a Vorcha Soldier.
  21. Most likely he was going to become a serial killer if not for the fact that he was dumb and arrogant enough to film it. Having said that, if only the crime had been committed somewhere like Texas, he'd get what he deserves, and I don't even like capital punishment most of the time...

  23. I'm a Steve Cortez guy myself. It seems I'm the only one so far.
  24. Pain relief of course. It does help, just not the same day. Thanks Mark. By the way, happy belated 4:20. I had a good holiday. I'm sure you did too even if you had to give some lectures. I will get back into your stories some time, maybe soon.
  25. Yeah, that's me. I'm sure some are wondering. I have logged in a few times, but right now, I see myself close to 30 years old, already having some issues with my health. Today, I had an epidural. For those who don't know what one is, it is an injection that an anesthesiologist gives a person in a bone between a person's butt and back. It is an area where everyone has a bony area. It has to do with the spine too. They do hurt, not when you get them but afterward. I can tell I have a nasty bruise, and I put triple anti-biotic ointment on it. I have one more left in two weeks. It's hell sometimes. I am going to get my pain managed all the while working on starting a business, and it's not an easy thing to do when you're in a lot of pain. But don't worry. I'm a spitfire. I'll make it! It's time for me to make some big changes in my life, and that's why I'm not around as much. Any writing I do is going to be business related for the foreseeable future, so for those who are waiting on SP or any other series I do, you will have to wait.
