November 24, 2004 Cedars-Sinai Hospital Los Angeles, CA Travis I opened my eyes briefly, trying to figure out where I was, only to remember that I was in a hospital room. This was pretty fucking ridiculous. I was so sick and fucking tired of being in medical facilities. I had just escaped from 11 West only to end up here, all within the same fucking month. My whole body was full of tension because I couldn’t do anything. I

Nope. We first meet Lord Frederick Cavendish in Master & Commander.
-
Actually Cavendish is younger, probably by 4 years or so.

December 12, 1801 The Thames River London, UK “I do not think I have seen a faster passage, my lord,” the French captain said. Granger wasn’t sure if the man was proud of himself or was just making idle conversation, but he suspected that his ultimate goal was to extract more money from Granger to celebrate his amazing feat. It was even more amusing in that his sailing had not been overly skillful, but he’d been blessed with fair winds and tides. “Tha

I’m with you. Showers are a vital part of my life, and not just for cleanliness. Water can change my entire mood.

Clearly.

November 23, 2004 Cedars-Sinai Hospital Los Angeles, CA Travis I must have been seriously medicated, because it took me a bit to work my way out of my haze. When I’d first gotten here, they’d taken me to my room, which wasn’t really a room; it was more like a suite. There were beautiful hardwood floors, a sitting area, and a big-ass television. This room was bigger than the one I’d had at 11 West. I chuckled to myself, think

I was just reflecting on my reactions to all of your posts, and by far the most common is the laughing emoji. Thank you all so much for making me smile so often. I have the best readers!

Time for a POLL!

Pick who you think is behind the whole effort to torture Travis and make his life hell. You'll notice that the author isn't a choice. 😃

November 23, 2004 Norwalk, CA Travis “I’ll get that,” I said, and picked up the trash from lunch. I put it in the bag it came in and set it outside my cell. “That’s very organized of you,” she joked, since I was usually a trainwreck with that. “And very rare,” I joked. “Thank you.” “You’re welcome,” I said, then sat back in my chair. “It got stuffier in here today,” Taylor noticed. I just nodded, then decided to

Exactly.

Excellent point. There really isn't a lot of research about Royal Navy ships catching fish for their own use, but there is one interesting anecdote. Sir Hyde Parker was in command of the fleet going to attack Copenhagen (the first time) and he had basically cold-shouldered Nelson. One of the seamen aboard Nelson's flagship had caught a large Turbot. Nelson knew Parker liked them, so Nelson had the fish sent over to Parker as a gift. That helped thaw their relationship.

So glad you’re back home again. 😂 I think that everything you said is right, up to a point. John and Ryan had totally trashed Travis’s house, so I think it was reasonable for Will to call them on it. As for the spy disclosure, I have to say I would have done the same thing. As close as John, Will, and Marie are, I think it’s almost inevitable…and expected…that they’d share that kind of info with each other.

It’s difficult to accurately judge people in the past by applying today’s standards.

November 23, 2004 Manhattan Beach, CA Will I’d just gotten out of the shower and was putting on my clothes when there was a knock on the door. I wondered who would be bold enough to get past Ramon and figure out which room I was in. This was a big fucking house. “Will,” I heard Dad say. I chuckled. He would be bold enough. “Come in,” I said. I would have walked over to let him in but I was pulling up my jeans and I didn’t want to fal

November 22, 2004 Norwalk, CA Travis “Good morning,” the guard said cheerfully, waking me up. “Good morning,” I said, mimicking his tone as I stretched and yawned. I almost thought it was a normal day until I looked at the bars around me. “Breakfast,” he said. I got up to find Styrofoam boxes from IHOP. They were certainly feeding us well. “Thanks,” I said. He looked at me oddly for being so polite, especially compared to

I’m so glad that you did! Welcome!

Will should have been upset if it were legit because that was part of their deal…full disclosure

That was a really fun scene to write. The ancient relic of the massive cock. Sometimes I make myself laugh.

It is very easy to see that Travis’s carelessness about security was a huge mistake. A deeper question is why he didn’t want security in the first place.
